Chapter 93: Hour 93

A nurse stepped out of the operation room.

"You are with Miss Liana?" she asked.

We nodded slowly. Her expression did not indicate good news.

"She gave birth to a baby boy. He's premature so he has been taken to the neonatal ICU. As for the mother, her health is not in a good condition. Her body could not bear the load of pregnancy and childbirth. She is breathing her last breaths," she said.

I froze in my spot.

"She said she is a witness to a crime, so the doctor is recording her testimony in the presence of other witnesses right now," the nurse said and then disappeared behind the door again.
