Chapter 76: She is with someone I know

“Can I speak with you for a minute?” Maria asked Zena as she had to stop her when she was about to enter the classroom,

“I'm all ears!” Zena approve,

“Why did you leave the town without telling me and what are all this new look, new friends, and new car, Zena!” Maria demand,

“I have nothing against you neither Kate I just felt to be left alone,” Zena affirmed,

“Left alone, after all, we shared?” Maria astonishingly said and continued,

“I can see you never valued our friendship and that our friendship is just an object you get and throw away of your own accord.”

Maria was still complaining about Zena disregarding attitude while Zena was scrutinizing in her mind that she left not to get in touch with Maria was for her good and Zena murmured,

“It's Okay Maria!

I get it.... But let me set it straight, whatever I did, I did for the good of our friendship and it's never easy for me because I have no idea of who I am anymore!

Please let's just be the way we are now,

You, me Kate... Soon you will get used to that!”Zena left Maria to her class not so long after the lecture walked by Maria staring at Zena and she left.

Maria's department is different from Zena's, hers is Linguistics and luckily for her Kate's friend is admitted to the same department as Maria which made them pair as friends.

Still, on Monday, the climate was fair, fair enough for the Eagle Hockey game to carry out their practice as they hope to carry the championship cup this season.

Zena had finished with her classes for the day, and Marcus was having a good time with her at the student‘s parking lot when Drake drove in and park.

He could clearly see Marcus but was not sure who Marcus was with and he holler at Marcus as he walked close to the car where Marcus is,

“Hey, Bro!” instantly his sight slammed into Zena as shock mute him to jaw dropped and Zena was stunned by Drake.

Both of them glare at them in a surprising manner that Marcus had to require from Drake,

“Have you two met before?”

Drake waffles as he tries to coin a statement but Zena clearly stated,

“I have not met him in my entire life!”

Drake was shocked at Zena's responses to Marcus which made him lost conscious but then again, he wondered why do Zena get to be friends with Marcus, of all male students on campus she did not see anyone but chose to hang out with Marcus,

He stood there for seconds after he reflected on Zena's attitude in his mind while glaring at Zena, he then shook Marcus and left.

“What is it, Bae?” Marcus asked Zena pretending like he could not read the meaning of what just happened and Zena responded,

“It's nothing, am fine!” she openly affirmed but the tone of her voice speak otherwise.

Marcus ease for some moment, after he tried deflecting what just happen not to get to his feeling he asserted,

“I'm hungry!

Let me have your keys I'm driving!” Zena was surprised at his new attitude and his sarcastic feeling and she said,

“You don't have to drive me, we can both drive in our different cars.”

“Really!” Marcus glinted with his smile as he sneered a bit while staring at Zena face to face as he stood close to Zena while she sat at the driver's seat side.

Marcus was standing at the door, one of his arms was resting on the car roof while the other was holding the car driver's door as he stood close to Zena.

But as they chew words on who would drive and would not, Marcus then suggested,

“A golden coin will decide for us, whether I should drive your car or we should go in our various cars.” he brought out a coin from his jacket and Zena chose the head and he murmur,

“Lady's first!” while he toss the coin and Zena's choice won over Marcus, and they drove in their separate car.

Drake was staring from away boiling in anger how can Zena be so free with his elder cousin like she has no important things to do, reading or studying or something than to play around with his brother?

As they drove out, Drake instantly had the intention of following them, so he quickly rushed to his car after he had dropped his hockey kit at the truck boot.

The rage of his anger was suffered by the way he slammed the door of his truck and twist his keys that were still fused at the ignition spot.

He pulled out the break of his car as he furiously reverse his car and zoom off tracking Zena and Marcus.

But all that, was his thought when he still glares at Marcus and Zena smiling, chit-chatting in the distance, then Marcus entered Zena's car and they both drove out.

“That was so hilarious!, How did you do that?” Zena excitedly asks Marcus, as Marcus spin the car starring, while he glanced at her briskly and returns his concentration to his driving and he replies,

“I will show! Is as simple as falling in love with you!.”

“What?” Zena curiously whined because she has no idea of where that could be coming from.

But still, in the middle of her conversing in her mind, Marcus pulled the car that the corner of the road, making Zena to wondered why they are stopping and enquire,

“Are we there now?”

“Soon we shall!

But I have something important to show you!”

The grunt of Marcus's voice bred a vibration in Zena's body that she started sweating in her undies.

Marcus had pulled to the corner of the road, unbuckle his seat belt, and he leans very close to Zena as his hands across her chest a little inch close to her breast that she slam her eyes close with fear the moment Marcus's breath was felt on her skin.

He rolls out the seat belt beside Zena's seat and cross it above her waistline and locks the belt hook at the bolt side.

“This is for safety and you have to put on your seat belt at all cost!”

Zena had opened her eyes when she realized Marcus wasn't doing anything foolish with her and his voice sounded distant from where she had expected him to whisper.

At that same moment, she opened her eyes she stun by Marcus's cute smile, one she has never since in Drake or Richard's eyes which made her fall into his love web.
