Chapter 69: Getting Closer
We got into the car, and the moment it turned on Addicted by Saving Abel started playing. I looked at Zack and raised an eyebrow, “So you are addicted to me, huh?”
Zack chuckles. “We will see.”
I laugh. “Oh, if you're not, your car certainly is. It wanted me to get naked, lick my creamy thighs, and fuck me like an animal until dawn, and that's just in the last couple of days.”
He shakes with laughter. “Well, your car is a nympho. That is why we started taking mine.”
Max loses it and nearly falls out of his seat. “How is it any different?”
Zack sighs. “My music is better.”
I roll my eyes. “Whatever. I have rock songs too.”
“Name one,” Zack challenges.
“The night you walked me to my car. It played AC/DC’s Shake Me All Night Long,” I replied.
“The night you met?” Levi asks. I nodded yes. “Cuz, and you're still fighting this? Wake up, woman!”
“Sorry, cuz, I needed more than a few coincidences before I started to trust. My past is too evil and dangerous to risk bringing in anyone unless I am sure,” I explain.
“Maddie, you don't need to explain any further,” Zack says as he places his hand over mine.
“Maybe it's time I do. I felt a familiarity with Adam, and that's why I dated him. I learned later that it was because of my mafia ties and nothing more. But before that, I sensed things wouldn't work between us. I was left alone a lot, so I had tons of time to think. I even submitted to him more than I care to recount. But it felt wrong. I started resenting him and myself. I broke free. I made him leave me alone. I used his desire for me to be his property and his slave against him. I got him to agree to allow me to dominate him just once. And after that, I told him that I'd be his in any way he wanted. I'm not talking just a blindfold and rope kind of Dom/Slave act, although I did use it, but I went far beyond that. I showed him what total and complete submission meant. I got proof and used it to make him leave because he enjoyed it far more than his status as a kingpin would allow, especially one such act involving a strap-on.”
“And I've seen the pictures,” Zack adds.
“Because you took my phone the night we met,” I retorted as I crossed my arms over my chest.
“You passed, that's all that matters,” he murmurs.
“You're still an ass,” I quip.
He chuckles. “And that'll never change.”
Levi says, “Blackmail is a powerful weapon if used correctly.”
Luther Knight smirks as he says, “Now you get why she's how she is.”
Zack raises an eyebrow. “You knew?”
Luther’s smirk turns into a proud smile. “Who do you think holds the originals? And I can release them worldwide in an instant.”
Zack nods, “Good.”
Max whistles. “Damn, cuz, you're crazy.”
“It takes one to know one,” I reply, and we all share a laugh. But just then Crazy Bitch by Buckcherry plays. I laugh harder. “Yep, so me.”
“Glad you're not going to argue,” Zack says.
“It's a compliment, really,” I reply.
Zack tilts his head as he asks, “Why?”
“Because of this verse and a few others that are similar,” I explain as I quote, "But you fuck so good, I'm on top of it. When I dream, I'm doing you all night. Scratches all down my back to keep me right on.”
Lynn grins. “Oh, she's got you there, Zack.”
I smirk as I shrug. “I mark what's mine.”
Lynn loses it in a fit of laughter. “You have no filter.”
“Nope, never will either,” I retort.
Zack glances at me. “You do know, Maddie, that you can't just spout off all the time and not expect some form of reprimand or punishment, don't you?”
“I know when to be a good girl or at least pretend to be,” I reply.
He just growls at me, which makes me giggle. He shakes his head. “Alright, out of town people, what do you want for dinner?”
“Burger and fries. We don't have them back home,” Max states.
“Seriously?”
Levi nods. “Yes, we never had them until we came over to the States the first time.”
I guess I was a bit naive to assume that the world had tasted the divine experience of indulging in a greasy burger and freshly made French fries. “Well, when I come to visit you guys, I'm fixing that.”
Zack looks at me before he reaches over to squeeze my thigh. “Damn right we are.”
Lynn grins as a knowing glint dances in her eyes. “You two are meant for each other, and one day your stubborn asses will realize it.”
I roll my eyes. “Whatever, hun. I'm content the way things are. My biological clock will never start ticking; I know yours already is. You're the mothering type, not me.”
Lynn rolled her eyes at my response. “Whatever, sis, live in denial.”
I smile. “Oh, I will thank you. I'll be fine and happy being Auntie M when you both finally make a kid.”
“Oh, and name her Dorothy," Max jokes.
We all groan before Lynn glares at him and says, “Mouth, zip it.”
“Zack, go to that bar,” I suggest.
“The dive you took me to?” he asks.
“Yes, you can't deny the food was great,” I reply.
Zack shakes his head. “It had nothing to do with the bartender giving you extras, now did it?”
“Is my inquisitive incubus jealous?” I tease.
Max exclaims, “Holy shit!”
Zack chuckles. “Do I have a reason to be? Because last I checked, I've only heard my name come from your lips, Maddie.”
“Hmmm, well l'll be sure to use a different name in the future,” I quip.
Zack growls, “Madison!”
