Fated spell

Fated spell

Kurt followed Wynn down the winding corridors of the palace, his footsteps heavy with the weight of the decision ahead. The Lycan King's command had been clear, and now it was time for the next step. They arrived at the chambers of the shaman, where the ancient being was waiting, his eyes clouded with the knowledge of his craft.

The shaman nodded to Kurt and Wynn, gesturing for them to enter. The room was dimly lit by flickering candles, and the scent of herbs and incense hung in the air. The shaman motioned for Kurt to sit in the center of a ritual circle, marked with glowing symbols and runes.

As Wynn stood nearby, observing the ritual, the shaman began his chant, speaking in an ancient tongue that reverberated through the room. Kurt closed his eyes, focusing on the weight of the spell being placed over him, an invisible force that began to settle over his body. The power of the fated mate bond was strong, a magic that ran deep into his veins, connecting him to Elle whether he was ready for it or not.

After a few moments, the shaman stepped back, nodding in approval. “The spell is complete,” he said, his voice low and final. “You are now bound to her.”

Kurt stood slowly, feeling the changes within him—the pull, the connection to Elle already forming, undeniable. There was no going back now. He glanced at Wynn, who gave a single nod, signaling that the next phase of the ritual was ready to unfold.

Without a word, they left the shaman’s chambers and made their way to Elle’s room. As they approached, one of the guards spoke in a hushed voice, “The sleeping spell is in place, as instructed. She will not awaken until she touches the bed.”

Wynn nodded, his expression unwavering. “Good. Proceed.”

They entered Elle's room, the atmosphere thick with the enchantments woven into the air. The bed glowed faintly, a shimmering aura surrounding it, the spell keeping Elle in a deep slumber. The shaman approached, his hands glowing with arcane energy, and began his work.

With the precision of someone who had practiced this for centuries, the shaman placed the second part of the fated mate spell over Elle, the magic flowing from his hands and into her, settling over her like a second skin. Wynn stood watch, his gaze hard, knowing the importance of the moment.

As the last of the spell was placed, the shaman stepped back, wiping his brow as he exhaled slowly. “It is done,” he said quietly.

Wynn nodded. “She will wake to her fated mate soon. Kurt will be there when she does.”

The room was silent except for the flicker of candlelight, the weight of the ritual hanging in the air. Kurt could feel the bond pulling him closer to Elle, and though his emotions were a tangled web, he knew that from this moment on, there was no turning back.

Kurt stood outside his room, his mind swirling with the weight of the spell now binding him to Elle. The pull of the fated mate bond was undeniable, a thread woven so deeply into his soul that it was impossible to ignore. But as he ran his hand through his hair, doubt gnawed at him. Was this truly the right choice? He had been chosen to be with Elle, but what if it wasn’t what she wanted? What if she resisted the bond?

As he walked into his room, he found the shaman waiting there, the older man standing with his arms crossed, his eyes sharp as ever.

“I sense the doubt in you,” the shaman said quietly, his voice calm but knowing. “You question the bond that was placed over you.”

Kurt hesitated before speaking, the words tumbling out with the weight of his uncertainty. “What if it would be better for Elle to claim the bond first? What if she’s not ready to accept it? I fear that if I’m the one to claim her first, I’ll be left... loving her forever, but without her truly accepting me. What if she doesn’t feel the same? What if she doesn’t claim me back?”

The shaman raised an eyebrow, taking in Kurt’s concern. He had seen this before—fated mates, unsure of the power they held over each other, afraid of becoming vulnerable. The bond was not an easy thing to carry, especially when both parties were not fully aligned with it.

“The fear you speak of is natural,” the shaman replied, his voice low but firm. “But know this—fated mates are bound in ways that no one truly understands. It is not a matter of claiming first, or who loves whom more. It is a matter of destiny, of connection. Whether you are the one to claim her, or she claims you first, the bond is already woven. What you fear is inevitable—this connection will change you both, no matter who claims whom.”

Kurt paced the room, his thoughts racing. “But what if I’m left chasing after her, while she remains indifferent, or worse—resistant? What if I am forced to watch as she pushes me away?”

The shaman sighed deeply, stepping closer to Kurt. “Your concerns are valid, but they stem from doubt. Doubt in the power of the bond. Once you are bound, you will feel it—both of you will. And while she may not immediately accept it, she will feel it, too. It will pull at her in ways that she cannot ignore.”

Kurt turned to the shaman, his eyes troubled. “And if she doesn’t claim me back? If she’s not ready?”

“Then you must be patient,” the shaman said simply, his voice steady. “The bond cannot be forced. It cannot be rushed. But it is powerful. And in time, Elle will understand its weight, just as you will. For now, you must focus on your part in this. Be there for her. Let her come to you when she’s ready. But never doubt that the bond is already in place.”

Kurt sat down heavily on the edge of the bed, his hands running over his face in frustration. The doubt still lingered, a gnawing ache in his chest. “I don’t want to be stuck in this forever if she doesn’t feel the same.”

The shaman gave him a knowing look. “You will never be ‘stuck,’ Kurt. But the love you seek will not come from force. It will come from understanding and acceptance. And that can only happen when both of you are ready.”
