Chapter 112 The Announcement
“Guys, this party is to announce mine and Peach’s wedding! Your bets won. We are getting married!” Luke beamed.
Dressed handsomely in a white shirt and white formal pants along with his fiancee in a pink obviously Cassi Pleated maxi dress, looking exquisite.
Raising his glass of champagne high with his hand over Peach’s shoulder, eyes glimmer with a hidden dark intent, expressing joy.
“I told you you will be mine, Darling~”
Peach laughed, clicking her glass against his while implanting a kiss on his jawline, still registering this fact.
He smirked, “For how long could I have resisted that?”
Luke and Peach held a small party in a luxurious private lounge owned by Peach. The music was booming, felicity dispersed in the air.
They called a few closed ones to announce their wedding to avoid the media from creating a ruckus.
It was about the wedding of the successor of the Galaxy Chain after all, people would judge her choice, they would pass comments.
Peach didn’t want any of that and wanted to enjoy the moment only.
But, at this event, Arabella was glaring at the couple, making a couple of eye-contacts with Luke who was smirking viciously.
His eyes indirectly mocked- ‘Oh, look, I am with my beloved, are you?’
In a matching maroon outfit with her husband. Her dress was figure-hugging with a side slit having a short tail with a V-neckline, giving her a tempting look.
But, what was the point when her heart was gloomy?
It was piercing her by each passing second because her husband was also with Luke, indulging in his moment while leaving Arabella alone with Helena.
“Even Luke is marrying his long lost bond. What have you decided, Bella?” Helena sighed.
“I tried to rip him from my heart, I tried really hard, Helena. But, I am simply incapable of it. I can’t,”
She chugged her drink down, uncaring if it spilled from the side, losing her composure.
Her voice broke, “And at this point, where I stand as his wife, as his dangerous obsession, as his highest point- I want him with equal desire,”
Slamming the glass down, she roughly wiped the smeared drink. Her grip on the glass tightened, jaw clenching while staring at William.
Helena asked in disbelief, “After everything…. You want him back?”
“Yes.” She responded with sheer determination.
“And for it, I will do anything. I just want to call him mine once, Helena. Don’t I deserve to love and be loved by him, at the very least once?”
After everything, her heart was impotent to eradicate him from her heart, she couldn’t leave him. It was no longer an option.
“Did he give you a hint or something on what to do?”
She nodded, “He said I must do something soul-shaking in order to revive the love he killed,”
“Soul-shaking?”
“Hmm,”
“Oh Lord, what the fuck is wrong with my brothers? What path are they leading?” Helena groaned, pouring herself some more drink.
Arabella muttered, “Not everyone is as lucky as you to marry their high school sweetheart, Helena,”
“I thank God.”
Helena smiled at her husband who blew a kiss at his darling, loving her deeply. Arabella glanced at them first, then to her husband.
The man who had offered his devotion, his affection, his obsession, everything except that one feeling she honestly wanted from him- Love.
She got everything but love and it was suffocating her.
“You have no idea how excruciating it is to watch the one so close yet so far from you, Helena,” She gulped, keeping her emotions at bay.
Helena forced a smile, giving her shoulder an assuring squeeze.
“I can only pray that all of you guys’ troubles end one day,”
“Me too,”
Before Helena could provide her dearest friend comfort and raise her spirits for a better future, Luke appeared from behind.
Standing next to his sister, his hatred filled eyes connected to Arabella who was staring at her drink, incapable of confronting the man.
“Even when one doesn't deserve it?” He taunted her.
“You…”
“What happened? Did it break your heart to watch William talk happily with me but not once smile at you?” Luke leaned closer, clicking his glass against hers to piss her off.
She hissed, “Stop stinging my scars, Luke, I am warning you,”
“I will make them sting over and over again,” He hissed back.
“I will show you that everyone in this world will have their love with them… except you,” Luke declared heartlessly.
The fact she merely used him to forget William while he lost his personality, his identity was too painful.
He couldn’t forgive her for her actions. If there was a way to induce the same hurtful sensation, he would do it.
“How can you be so cruel, Luke?”
Her mouth gaped in disbelief, regretting sharing her deepest secret with him at this point.
“I am as cruel as you are selfish. When you can use me to forget my brother, why shouldn’t I hurt you back?” He growled, pointing his finger contemptuously at her.
“Fuck you. I don’t want to listen to your nonsense,”
“Luke, please-”
Helena extended her hands out to stop them from creating a scene.
“You don’t interfere, Helena. You have supported this woman enough. She doesn’t need any.” Luke scoffed.
But then a vile smirk came to his lips, mocking her, “She has her William with her after all,”
“Go to hell,”
Snarling, she showed her middle finger to him and walked away, not wanting to spend a single second with him.
In the upcoming years, she forgot how he once used to be an insensitive asshole and his side of his was re-awakened.
Rolling his eyes when he walked away, he went back as well to enjoy the party too, staying by Peach’s side.
But, he had sworn to not grant her a moment of peace in his presence. The second he saw her with William, he shifted down to Peach’s ear.
“Peach, can you do me a favor, please?”
She smirked, blowing a kiss at him, “Anything for my baby,”
“I…”
Inhaling sharply, he acted hesitant while gripping her shoulders. Forming her lips in a thin line, she lowered her gaze shyly.
His lips pressed against her ear, breathing heavily, reflecting the manipulative personality that made him a notorious playboy.
“I can’t stand Arabella’s presence in ‘our’ party. I don’t want to start a commotion and ruin our time.”
She shivered with satisfaction, innocently turning to her fiancé, “Do you want me to make her leave our party?”
“Mhm. Will you do this for me?”
Swaying in his compelling power, she glared at Arabella, blindly following his words.
“Sure. Just watch,”
