Chapter 30 he felt like he must have been going crazy!

His hand holding Harper's wrist didn't loosen at all. Instead, it tightened slightly.

Joseph had a feeling that Harper would leave with that man if she found him today.

Harper was both angry and anxious, and he shouted directly, "Let go of me!"

Olivia next to them looked at the two of them with a puzzled expression. "You guys..."

Her eyes involuntarily brushed over with a hint of darkness, a speculation growing unchecked in the depths of her heart.

What exactly was the relationship between the two of them?

Various doubts surfaced in her mind. Olivia was almost certain that the relationship between them was not as simple as it appeared.

Harper glanced at her and didn't want to explain much to her.

She then shoved Joseph straight back violently and ran toward the door without looking back.

Joseph furrowed his brow, instinctively wanting to catch up.

Olivia gently took his hand and whispered, "Since we're already here, why don't we go see Benjamin first?"

Joseph didn't move a step, and she added, "After all, it's not very nice to leave like this the first time you brought me to see him."

Joseph glanced back at her, eventually retracting his step forward, and entered the cemetery with her.

The black Cayenne was driving on the road, with Brian sitting in the back seat, his demeanor a bit more subdued than when he had arrived earlier.

Ethan saw Mr. Lewis pinching his forehead in the rearview mirror and couldn't help but ask, "Mr. Lewis, are you okay?"

"It's nothing."

Brian looked up and cast a deep gaze at the cemetery in the rearview mirror.

The car window slowly rolled up as Brian, rubbing his forehead, closed his eyes.

He didn't see the figure that dashed out from behind the cemetery gate.

When Harper came out, the black car had completely disappeared.

Harper only managed to catch a glimpse of the license plate of that car from afar.

She ran a few steps, anxiously calling out his name, "Brian Taylor!"

Eventually, she futilely stopped in place, bending down, and gasping for breath.

After a while, she stood up and stared blankly in the direction where the car had disappeared. She could hardly regain her composure.

After a moment of silence, Harper murmured, "Brian, is that you?"

In the cemetery, Joseph brought Olivia to the grave of Benjamin Taylor, where two bouquets were placed side by side on the tombstone.

He looked at the cluster of camellias, his dark eyes squinting imperceptibly.

Olivia didn't pay attention to his expression, looking at the photo of Benjamin on the tombstone, sounding melancholic. "Benjamin was such a good person. I never thought that an accident would happen to him."

Joseph remained silent, his gaze fixed on a spot in front of the tombstone, lost in thought.

Olivia looked at his exquisite profile, unsure of how to articulate her thoughts.

What exactly was his relationship with Harper?

"You were Benjamin's most accomplished student during his lifetime. Now that Benjamin was no longer here, we should help take care of Harper more." Olivia tentatively probed, but Joseph didn't even look at her.

Suddenly, he looked up and said, "I have some things to take care of, so I'll be leaving now."

They each drove their cars here, so they didn't need to go back together.

Without waiting for Olivia to speak, Joseph had already walked out far away, looking quite anxious, as if he had something urgent to attend to.

Olivia stood still, watching his back, her fingers slowly tightening around her handbag, feeling a tinge of melancholy.

Harper didn't know how she had made it back home. She sat on the sofa, feeling lost and empty inside.

Did he come back?

Where would he go after watching his dad?

Where did he come back from?

Harper was completely clueless. She finally saw him today, and now he disappeared again?

Before long, the sound of the door opening rang out, and Joseph's tall figure walked in, exuding a cold and frosty demeanor.

He looked at the woman on the couch, who seemed lost in her thoughts, and he couldn't help but feel furious.

"Joseph!"

Harper turned her head woodenly. Upon seeing him, she suddenly got up and ran over to grab his arm.

"Can you help me? Can you help me find him?

"I noted down his license plate number. Can you help me look up that license plate number to find him?"

Joseph couldn't help but sneer as he looked at the woman clinging to his arm.

Before he could settle the score with her, this woman asked for his help first.

Help her find that man?

Joseph sneered.

Harper didn't pay attention to the expression on his face.

Not hearing a response from the man, she continued urgently, "It must be his car. He's back! I recognized his figure! Please help me find him!"

Joseph looked down at Harper, only to see her looking panicked, with red eyes filled with tears.

She looked just like someone who had lost their beloved.

Joseph, however, felt like the anger in his heart was about to consume him.

He closed his eyes and sneered coldly, "Are you really that unwilling to let go? What’s so good about him that makes you unable to forget him?"

Harper inexplicably looked up, then exclaimed indignantly, "What nonsense are you talking about! Are you going to help me find him or not?"

She just wanted Joseph to help out a bit. Harper couldn't find anyone else to ask now. It was as if, without Joseph's help, she would never have another chance to meet that person.

After being missing for so many years, he finally came back. If she didn’t go find him now, he might just disappear again like a dream.

Joseph wore a gloomy expression, tightly pursing his lips without saying a word.

"Answer me!" Harper saw that he was not speaking again, becoming more and more agitated. Tears were streaming down her face intermittently. "If you won't help me find it, I'll go look for him myself!"

Suddenly, Joseph grabbed her face and kissed her passionately.

He felt like he must have gone crazy, as soon as he heard that man's name from her, all self-control vanished into thin air, wishing he could devour this heartless woman.

Harper struggled desperately, using both hands and feet to slap Joseph, bite him and pushed him away.

"What’s wrong with you?"

Harper raised her hand to wipe her mouth, glaring at Joseph.

She had never thought he would be so unreasonable!!

He suddenly got on his nerves for no reason!

"What’s wrong with me?" Joseph pushed his tongue against his upper molars. "Have you forgotten who you are married to? Huh?"

Harper looked at him incredulously. confused about why he mentioned this.

Wasn't she just asking him to help find someone?

She was already so anxious, and this man was thinking about these unreasonable things.

Harper no longer wanted to talk to him. She turned around and was about to walk out. Since this man wasn't willing to help, she would find a solution on her own. She was sure she could find that person.

Joseph grabbed her wrist and asked, "Where are you going again?"

"None of your business!" Harper yelled, giving his hand a shake, but it didn't shake off.

"Are you that concerned about him?" Joseph's face turned cold, like a wild beast on the verge of erupting in flames.

Harper was also quite provoked by him, so she pushed his hand away and said, "Yes, I do care about him. Does it have anything to do with you?"

She said, seemingly indignant, and chuckled coldly, "You went to see my dad today with Olivia without my consent, didn't you? I can't be bothered to deal with you. What authority do you have to talk about me? Who are you to control my affairs?"
