**Sara**
The audacity of this man to show up at my door after everything that had happened was truly astounding.
"Matt, I don't want your flowers, and I certainly don't want you back," I said, my voice flat and emotionless.
His face fell, but I couldn't bring myself to care. I pushed past him, fumbling with my keys to unlock the door. All I wanted was to collapse into bed and forget this whole mess for a few hours.
As I stepped inside, I heard footsteps behind me. Before I could react, Matt followed me in, closing the door behind him.
"Sara, please," he pleaded, his eyes wide and desperate. "I want you. I need you. We can work this out."
I whirled around, my fatigue forgotten in a surge of fury. "Are you kidding me right now? Get out, Matt. I mean it. Don't come here again."
He took a step closer, his hands outstretched. "Baby, come on. You know how good we are together. Remember all those nights? The way I made you feel?"
I couldn't believe what I was hearing. Was he seriously trying to seduce me right now?
Matt's voice dropped to a husky whisper. "I can satisfy you in ways no one else can. Remember that thing I do with my tongue? The way I make you scream?"
I held up a hand, feeling a hysterical laugh bubble in my throat. "Oh my God, Matt. Are you for real right now? This isn't some cheesy porno where you can just waltz in and magically fix everything with your magical penis."
His face flushed red. "Sara, please. I know I messed up, but-"
"Messed up?" I interrupted, my voice rising. "You cheated on me, Matt."
"That was a mistake. It didn't mean anything. You're the one I want."
I shook my head, feeling a strange mix of anger and pity. "You know what? Why don't you go give all that pleasure to Victoria? I'm sure she'd appreciate your 'skills' more than I would right now."
His face contorted in confusion. "What? No, Sara, you don't understand-"
"Oh, I understand perfectly," I cut him off. "You thought you could have your cake and eat it too. Well, guess what? This bakery is closed. Permanently."
Matt's mouth opened and closed like a fish out of water. "But... but..."
I pointed to the door. "Out. Now. And don't come back."
He stood there for a moment, looking lost and pathetic. Part of me almost felt sorry for him. Almost.
"Go on. It's over, Matt. We both know it."
But Matt, ever the persistent one, took a step closer. His eyes were wide, pleading, like a puppy who'd just been caught chewing up a favorite pair of shoes.
"Sara, please," he said, his voice cracking slightly. "I still love you. I want you. Can't we just talk about this?"
I let out a laugh that was more of a bark. "Talk about what, Matt? How you couldn't keep it in your pants? How you lied to me for months?"
"It was a mistake. A stupid, horrible mistake. But what we have is real. You're the one I want to be with."
"I'm going to say this one more time. Leave. Now."
But apparently, Matt had decided today was the day to audition for the role of 'Most Persistent Ex-Boyfriend in the History of Breakups.' He took another step forward, his eyes taking on a different gleam.
"Sara," he said, his voice dropping to what I'm sure he thought was a seductive purr. "Remember how good we were together? The way I could make you feel?"
I stared at him, slack-jawed. Was he seriously trying this right now?
"Matt, I swear to God-"
He cut me off, moving even closer. "I want you so badly, Sara. Let me show you how much I've missed you."
I backed up, bumping into the kitchen counter. "Matt, stop. This isn't going to happen."
But he wasn't listening. His eyes raked over me in a way that made my skin crawl. "Come on, baby. Remember that thing I do with my tongue? How about we go to the bedroom, and I remind you?"
I burst out laughing. The absurdity of the situation was just too much.
"Oh my God," I gasped between fits of giggles. "Are you auditioning for a low-budget porno? Because let me tell you, you're nailing the 'creepy ex' role perfectly."
His face flushed red. "I'm being serious. I know you still want me."
I wiped tears of laughter from my eyes. "The only thing I want right now is for you to leave. And maybe a strong drink to forget this whole ridiculous scene."
He reached out, trying to grab my hand. "Sara, please. I need you. Let me make love to you one last time."
I dodged his grasp, moving around the kitchen island to put some distance between us. "Make love? Is that what we're calling it now? Because from where I'm standing, it looks more like you're trying to scratch an itch."
He followed me, his movements becoming more desperate. "It's not like that. I love you. I want to show you how much."
I held up a hand, stopping him in his tracks. "Let me make this crystal clear. The only thing you'll be making love to tonight is your hand. Now, for the last time, get out of my apartment."
Matt's face contorted into a bizarre combination of puppy dog eyes and determination. It was like watching a toddler try to look tough while begging for ice cream.
"Fine, I'll go. But this isn't over, Sara. I'll be back. I'll win you over again. You'll see."
"Win me over? What, are you planning a romantic comedy montage? Gonna show up outside my window with a boombox?"
"If that's what it takes, then yes. I'll do whatever it takes to prove my love to you."
"Oh my God," I groaned. "This isn't a movie. This is real life. And in real life, when someone cheats on you and lies to you for months, you don't get a second chance."
"But Sara-"
"No buts," I cut him off. "Look, why don't you take all this... energy... and direct it somewhere else? Why don't you go use your magical penis on Victoria?"
"Victoria? But... but I don't want Victoria. I want you!"
"Well, tough luck, buddy. This ship has sailed. Actually, no. This ship has sunk to the bottom of the ocean and is now home to a family of very judgmental clownfish."
"Clownfish?"
"Yes. Clownfish. Because this whole situation is a joke, and you're the punchline."
He opened his mouth to respond, but I held up a hand. "Nope. We're done here. Go home. Or go to Victoria's. Or to the moon for all I care. Just go."
With a dejected sigh that would put a soap opera star to shame, Matt finally turned and walked out the door. I slammed it behind him, leaning against it and sliding to the floor.
"Well," I muttered, "that was an interesting way to cap off the last 24 hours."
I sat there for a moment, letting the silence of my apartment wash over me. It starkly contrasted the chaos of the past few days - from discovering Matt's betrayal to my unexpected night with Tom and now this ridiculous confrontation.
My head was spinning, trying to process everything that had happened. The quiet felt almost oppressive after all the drama, like the calm before another storm. I closed my eyes, taking deep breaths to center myself. Part of me wanted to laugh at the absurdity of it all, while another part wanted to cry. Instead, I just sat there, my back against the cool wood of the door, feeling utterly drained and wondering what fresh hell tomorrow might bring.
