Chapter 7: Oh, this glorious sight

Jelena:

I can’t believe what I’m seeing. One moment I’m about to be torn to shreds by a giant wolf, and the next, a gorgeous guy tosses the wolf-like a feather against a tree. He’s built. His body is golden with muscle. He’s at least a few inches over six feet. His hair is pitch black, and his eyes are the color of steel. I gasp in shock when he moves closer and peruses his gaze down my body. We stand there in silence for a few moments. I don’t know what to say. What I do know is that he’s the one that was watching me yesterday and today. My eyes roam across his body again. The only thing he’s wearing is a pair of black cargo shorts that fall low over his six-pack abs to the v of his stomach. I lick my lips at the sight of the large bulge between his legs. I want to lick him. My body heats, and my heart speeds up. I’m getting wet. The man sniffs the air in an animalistic way, then roams his eyes across my body possessively. His jaw ticks making me want to run my finger across his jaw and neck.

I swallow hard, forming words that manage to come out in a choked croak. “Thank you.” He nods his head in response and looks back toward where the wolf ran. Biting my lip, I release another breath to catch his attention. “I’m…, I’m Jelena.” He just stands there, not saying a word, which makes me very nervous. Moving closer because I can’t take the silence any longer, I lick my lips and open my mouth. His head snaps up at my gesture, and he takes a step back. His uneasiness somehow encourages me, though. Taking a cautious step, I move closer and stop in front of him. He doesn’t move. He’s as still as a statue. My hair falls like a curtain across my face. Extending my hand, I reach for his. He doesn’t respond. Cautious, I reach for his hand and lightly touch his fingers. He doesn’t move. He just stands there stiffly, never taking his eyes off me.

Feeling shy, I pull my hand back. I want to touch him, but something in me wants him to touch me first. I want him to touch me everywhere. Stepping back, I run my hands around my neck nervously and mutter. “I…I should go.” His face remains stoic, which ignites a spark of anger inside of me. What the hell is wrong with him? Without another word, I turn around and walk away. I only take a few steps before he’s in front of me again. He looks down at the ground, then back at me shyly. “My name is Traeger.” His voice is as beautiful as his face and body. It’s husky and male, which makes shivers travel down my back. I’m beyond aroused at this point. Taking in an erratic breath, I shyly whisper his name. “Traeger.”

His eyes heat at my words. I don’t even notice that we’re both nearly chest to chest. He extends his hand, mimicking my move. I, however, do reach back and take his hand. Electricity rushes through my body at the feel of his skin meeting mine, and his pupils dilate. Pulling our entwined hands close, he looks at them with wonder and sensually caresses my hand from palm to fingers. I swallow hard, feeling a constriction in my throat and sigh. My breathing is choppy and erratic with arousal. As if sensing my desire, he looks into my eyes and releases my hand. I want to hold him, but I opt to rest my hand back on my thigh. The spell is broken. Traeger looks around the forest, then back to me. “I’ll walk you home.” Not a word is said as we make our way back to the cabin.

He stops when we get close to the house. I turn back to question, but he moves back warily. Unable to contain it any longer, I walk up to him, reach up and kiss him on the cheek. His eyes close shut, and his body shudders as if he’s in pain. “Thank you, Traeger. I hope I see you again.” I whisper huskily. He doesn’t respond, which gives me mixed feelings. But I don't question it. Instead, I turn away and walk back to the house. As I walk back to the house, I can’t help but turn my head and look back at him. My heart is beating like a drum, and my palms are sweating. That was the most arousing experience of my life, and we barely touched. It makes me wonder what it would be like if we made love. Irritated by my thoughts, I slide my hands over my face. It isn’t until I reach my room that I realize that he is the man I’ve been dreaming of. It can’t be.
