Those who originally thought that Renee was incompetent and even excluded her in the company had shut up.
On that day, Renee got off work early because she and Jeromy had an appointment to meet Jeromy’s grandmother.
Although the two had been together for some time, Renee had never dared to see Jeromy’s grandmother.
They could be together just because they liked each other, but the elderly would consider
more.
The moment the car drove into the Gilbert Family Manor, Renee’s heart had not yet calmed down.
Jeromy held Renee’s hand and comforted her softly, “Don’t worry too much, grandma is a very good person. She has seen your photos and likes you very much. You don’t have to feel any pressure.”
Renee did not say anything.
After seeing her photos, she liked to say that she was satisfied with her appearance. But if Jeromy’s grandmother knew that she was infertile, perhaps her attitude would be different.
When getting out of the car, Jeromy held Renee’s hand tightly, refusing to let go for a moment. The servants around them all said that the two were very much in love.
The Gilbert Family Manor was halfway up the mountain, so the temperature was lower than at the foot of the mountain. Renee did not bring a coat when she came, so Jeromy simply put his suit jacket on her.
Since entering the Gilbert Family Manor, Jeromy had been paying close attention to Renee’s expression and would pay special attention to any changes in her.
When she was with Jeromy, he would focus all his attention on Renee.
It was precisely because Jeromy’s eyes were full of Renee that she was even more afraid that Jeromy’s grandmother would not agree with them being together.
Passing through the small garden in front, there was a vegetable garden behind the villa.
Jeromy’s grandmother was squatting on the ground shoveling grass with a small shovel in her hand.
Renee had thought of many ways to meet, but this was the only way.
Jeromy came in and the servant beside Jeromy’s grandmother reminded her, “Madam, Mr. Gilbert has brought Ms. Jackson home.”
Jeromy’s grandmother slowly stood up, raised the corners of her mouth and the wrinkles on her face were revealed, but she looked more kind.
“You must be Renee, I’ve wanted to see you for a long time. It’s all Jeromy’s fault for

stopping me from seeing you.”
Jeromy’s grandmother’s hands were covered in mud, but she just kept pulling Renee.
Renee did not feel disgusted, but instead felt that she was approachable.
At the same time, Renee felt a little ashamed. It was obviously her who was timid and did not dare to see Jeromy’s grandmother, but Jeromy took all the responsibility on himself. “Grandma, it actually has nothing to do with Jeromy. I was the one who didn’t dare to come to see you before.”
Jeromy’s grandmother smiled and patted Renee’s hand as she asked, “What are you afraid! of? I don’t eat people.
“Oh, I’ve prepared dinner. I cooked it myself!”
While Renee was still in shock, Jeromy’s grandmother had already dragged Renee to the
restaurant.
There were not many dishes on the table and each one was very simple and you could tell that it was made by Jeromy’s grandmother herself.
Jeromy explained, “Grandma, likes to grow her own vegetables and cook her own meals.” Jeromy’s grandmother pulled Renee to sit next to her and kept putting food into her bowl, treating her like her own granddaughter.
After the meal, Jeromy’s grandmother drove Jeromy away and took Renee to her bedroom. Jeromy’s grandmother was so good to Renee that she felt ashamed of herself.

T’ve kept this bracelet for so long, it’s time to give it to you now.
“Felix lost both his parents when he was young and he is a loner. If he does something wrong, you should bear with him. But if he dares to bully you, tell me. Although I’m old, I can still teach him a lesson.”
Renee was filled with thoughts as she looked at the bracelet that Jeromy’s grandmother had stuffed into her hand.
After a long silence, Renee finally summoned up the courage to speak, “Grandma, I’m actually not as good as you think. I’ve had a lot of terrible experiences and I don’t have a uterus, so I can’t have children.
“I know you and Jeromy are both very good people. I have thought about hiding this from you, but you are so good to me that I can’t bear to lie to you.
“This bracelet is too valuable. I can’t accept it.” Renee pushed the bracelet back.
