Chapter 1
The day my boss cornered me in his office, Owen Pierce kicked down the door and castrated the bastard on the spot.
The revenge came swift. Owen lost his leg. When I asked if he regretted saving me, he only smiled. “You’re worth everything to me, darling.”
Later, we clawed our way to the top, side by side. CEO Pierce. CEO Blake. A power couple that owned this city.
Even after our wedding, he worshipped the ground I walked on. Or so I thought.
Love has a way of revealing itself, doesn’t it?
She appeared at my office door–young, glowing, one hand protective over her swollen belly. Her words cut deeper than any blade: “Owen says he needs someone clean. You’re just… damaged goods.”
That’s when I knew. Owen Pierce and I were finished.
If he wanted to play games, I’d teach him the rules.
How about… Starting with that little problem she was carrying?
I struck fast and hard.
So fast the girl didn’t even see it coming.
She clutched her stomach, staring at me in disbelief as blood poured down her legs.
“Are you fucking crazy? You killed Owen’s baby–he’s gonna destroy you!”
“You don’t know shit about how much he loves me!”
That pale little face was truly pitiful to look at.
Too bad I had a stone–cold heart.
I signaled to my bodyguard, and he threw another punch straight into her belly.
This time, she couldn’t even scream.
“Get her to the hospital. Don’t let her die on us.”
I looked at her coldly, like I was staring at a corpse.
When I got home, I smashed everything in sight.
So when Owen got the butler’s call and rushed home, he walked into total chaos.
He calmly watched me shatter the vase he’d just bought last month into pieces.
“You’re gonna end things with that woman.”
I was breathing hard.
Only when I stopped moving did he leisurely light up a cigarette.
“She’s just some young girl who likes to act up. She can’t touch your position.”

Chapter 1
“You’ll always be Mrs. Pierce.”
That indulgent tone, like he was telling me just how much she meant to him.
ng like nothing happened, right in front of me–his wife who’d weathered ten years of storms with him.
Acting
I laughed.
As he looked at me confused, I showed him a photo.
“A side piece is still a side piece. When she comes for the wife, she needs to be put in her place. Don’t you think?”
The words “miscarriage due to violence” hit Owen Pierce hard.
This man who’d kept his cool for years suddenly grabbed my throat.
“Nora Blake!”
“She’s just a girl–why did you go so far!”
The last time he lost control like this was when my boss had stripped me naked and tried to force himself on me.
He’d destroyed that animal of a boss.
Seeing him lose it made me feel even better.
“Because she was pregnant.”
The grip on my neck got tighter. I heard a cracking sound.
“Daddy.”
Our son Mason’s voice brought him back to his senses, and his grip loosened slightly.
I seized the moment and kicked him hard in the chest.
“Nora Blake!”
He clutched his chest, staring at me in disbelief.
“You never learn, do you.”
I told the maid to take our son back to his room.
Then I pulled out the divorce papers.
“Sign these.”
Owen didn’t even look before tearing them up.
“I told you, you’ll be Mrs. Pierce for life. Not one day less.”
He said helplessly, “Ivy won’t compete with you. Why are you being so petty?”
“Let’s just forget about this time. I’ll make it right with her.”
Then he stormed off to be with Ivy Wells.
He completely missed the last words I spoke.
