Chapter 125 Chapter 125: Morning Frost and Fever

I didn't remember falling asleep, but Kael’s warning about no one touching me remained buried in my mind. The next morning, I woke up in a strange bed. I was still naked, a heavy blanket the only thing wrapped around my body.
Panic surged for a second until the familiar scent of cedar and expensive tobacco hit me. At that same moment, Kael emerged from a black door—his bathroom. His hair was wet, and rivulets of water rolled down his chest, disappearing beneath a black towel hanging dangerously low on his hips. My mouth went dry. The remnants of last night’s memory plagued my brain, sending an immediate heat to my lower belly.
I quickly looked away before I could lose control and throw myself at him. I didn't want him to see me looking like a hungry vulture ready to devour him.
“Why am I here?” I asked, my voice huskier than I anticipated.
His room was a sanctuary of black, silver, and gold. A large mosaic was mounted directly above the king-size bed. A lounge set of black leather sat near a round table, which held a fruit basket and a coffee maker. A white carpeted floor led to a large arched fireplace where dancing flames kept the room warm.
In my peripheral vision, I saw Kael pour a mug of coffee. He leaned against the table and turned a quizzical gaze toward me.
“Why not?” he queried, taking a sip. “You fell asleep in my arms last night, and your room was quite... overcrowded.”
Right. The last thing I remembered was cuddling on his lap. My cheeks felt hot; I could only imagine the faint tint of red burning on my face.
“Where are my clothes?” I asked, desperate to change the subject. Even though last night was perfect, I couldn't forget that Val and I had kissed. Kael’s earlier threat echoed in my head.
“I left them at the poolside,” he replied nonchalantly.
I wanted to protest, feeling a wave of shame that someone might find them, but I swallowed my embarrassment and looked toward the floor-to-ceiling glass balcony doors.
“Winter is already here,” I sighed. The lawn was carpeted in a thin sheet of ice. The forest trees sparkled as the sun hit the frozen branches. The snow had accumulated rapidly overnight.
“Hmmm.” Kael moved to my side. His index finger hooked under my chin, tilting my head up. I stared into his mossy eyes, which reflected the white landscape outside until they looked surreal. He leaned forward and placed a gentle kiss on my lips. “Good morning.”
A soft moan vibrated in my chest, baiting me to open up, but I pulled away. I was too conscious of my unbrushed teeth. “I haven’t cleaned myself yet,” I admitted, cupping my palm over my mouth.
My timidity was rewarded with an intense frown. With one swift motion, he captured my wrists and pinned me down against the mattress, positioning his body on top of mine before I could protest. His eyes glinted with amorous mischief.
“Do you think I care?” he asked condescendingly. The towel around his waist came undone, gracing me with his nakedness on this glorious morning. “You could be covered in dirt and grime. I would still kiss you and take you whenever I please.”
He closed the gap and kissed me hungrily. Our tongues fought for dominance, tasting of coffee and heat. Kael let go of my wrists, his hands traveling to my chest to knead my mounds, his fingers tweaking my aching buds. I moaned, the fire between my legs intensifying.
He moved to my neck, sucking the flesh hard enough to leave a mark, before yanking the blanket away. His large hand cupped the back of my thigh, spreading me wide as he wedged himself between my legs. He attacked my collarbone with kisses before latching onto a nipple.
A loud moan erupted from my throat as he entered me flawlessly. He plunged in balls-deep without preamble, filling me completely.
“You’re so hot, Kukla,” he grunted, abandoning my breast to sit up. “Ride me.”
He pulled me up and flipped our positions so I was on top. My hands landed on his chest as I stared down at him, my mouth parted and my hair hanging like a curtain around my face. Kael reached out and swept the strands aside. “Move, Kukla. You’re killing me.”
I obeyed. He gripped my waist, his fingertips digging into my flesh as he guided my hips. I started to roll, sliding back and forth in a slow, rhythmic tempo until his grip tightened, urging me to move faster. My breasts bounced softly, my nipples erect and begging for attention. My essence coated his length, creating a slick, wet friction.
Releasing one hand from my hip, he slid his fingers down to find my hard little bud. My body jerked in response, my back arching from the sudden jolt of sensation as he strummed me faster to match my pace. My walls tightened around him as he swelled. My breath became ragged as the tension reached a peak.
Kael rose, catching my mouth with his to swallow the sound of my orgasm. Our teeth clashed. My hips bucked as he unloaded inside me, emptying himself with a guttural groan. I felt his cock jerk against my walls one last time before he pulled out. I dropped my head onto his shoulder, panting hard.
“As much as I want to stay, Kukla, I have to go,” he whispered, burying his fingers in my hair and kissing the side of my head.
“Aya will need my help cleaning my room. It’s a mess,” I replied, reluctantly pulling away on wobbling knees and snatching the blanket to cover myself.
Kael climbed off the bed and disappeared into his walk-in closet. He returned wearing pants, a black t-shirt dangling from his hand. He tossed it to me. “Here. Wear this.”
“Thanks.”
I pulled the shirt over my head. It was huge on me, falling to my knees and looking more like a baggy dress. Kael looked at me with approval, and I gave him a small smile.
“I’ve got to go,” I said, heading toward the door. Before I could reach the knob, a hand clasped my arm. Kael pulled me around for one more deep, lingering kiss, as if he didn't want to let me go. I felt the same, but his work demanded his presence.
I returned the kiss and then pulled away, twisting the knob and vacating the room without another word.
The smile on my face didn't fade as I threaded through the corridor. I could wake up like this every morning for the rest of my life. But I knew I wasn't living in a fantasy. Eventually, I’d have to face the reality that this peace was temporary. It could crumble in a blink.
My life with Kael would never be this easy for long.
