Chapter 12: It Wasn't Me
I had barely taken two steps into the science corridor when someone suddenly grabbed my arm and pulled me into darkness.
I opened my mouth to scream but a hand covered it, preventing me from trying. He even caught both my hands behind my back with his other hand. So I tried the only thing I could—I stomped on my assaulter’s foot.
"Holy shit!" That person cussed and I instantly knew who he was.
I didn't stop fighting, trying to hit him as he tried to dodge my attacks and keep me silent at the same time. But suddenly, I found my back hitting the wall hard enough to momentarily stun me and the heavy weight of his body holding me in place.
“I’ll let go, but you have to promise not to—ow! You bit me!"
“You, you, you...bastard! Lowlife! Son of a—" He covered my mouth again.
“Don’t you dare bring my mother into this! And keep your voice down!” he whisper yelled, accidentally releasing my hands from his grip.
This time I simply removed his hands from my mouth and pushed him back. To my surprise he actually stumbled back a few steps since he had the lean muscular built of an athlete while I looked like an assortments of sticks.
“What the hell!” I whisper-yelled back at him, fisting my hands at my sides. Hitting him will only hurt me.
“It wasn’t me,” he cut straight to the point.
“Yeah and I’m the Tooth Fairy!” I deadpanned. “You expect me to believe that? Especially after you told me, I have to beg you to fuck me!”
“You’re going off topic,” his tone was hard, his eyes turning a darker green. “That notice out there, it wasn’t me. I don’t know who did it, but I intend to find out.”
“Why? So you can intimidate me for sexual favors again?” Was it me or did that sound kind of desperate?
“You and I both know that I don’t have to do anything. I’m the ideal sex god of your novel.” He smirked.
“So what? At least I put that good-for-nothing pretty face of yours to good use. And FYI, I didn’t use the same features in all of my books!” It was out before I could stop myself.
“All, huh?” His smirk stretched from ear to ear, making him look a bit creepy in the darkness of the classroom. He took a step forward.
“N-no...n-not all! D-definitely not all o-of my b-books!” I stuttered as he kept on advancing with slow deliberate steps, making me take small cautious one backwards, only, I had nowhere to go.
He trapped me with his arms on either side of my head. And as soon as his green eyes locked with mine, I was a goner.
He didn’t say anything for a while, just stared at me with an unwavering gaze. I watched mesmerized as the calm green slowly turned to molten emerald, a shade that indicated his arousal. And then, suddenly, his lips claimed mine in a hot, wet kiss. His lips were so soft, I wanted to bite it.
One of his hands came to tangle in my hair, while the other went to my waist to pull me flat against his chest. Without thinking I found that my hands looped around his neck. There was hardly any space between us.
I felt his hand shift from my waist to go under my shirt and rest on the bare skin underneath. His hands felt large and warm and deliciously rough on my soft skin. I broke away once to collect my breath, but his mouth was on mine a second later.
He gave my hair a rough tug, making me gasp and took that opportunity to put his tongue inside my mouth. He tasted of coffee… and cinnamon. It felt delightful enough for me to tangle my tongue with his in a wet caress. I wanted more. I wanted everything. I tried to pull him closer, felt him do the same. This time I didn’t hold back and bit down on his lower lip, hard. The next instant I felt him thrust his pelvis into my stomach in surprise, his erection evident through his denims. I think I tasted copper, but the thought was lost as he bit me back on my lower lip, and then licked it to soothe the pain. My hands instinctively tightened in his hair, earning me another thrust.
What pulled me away from the addiction that was Ethan Whitmore was the loud echo of the school bell, signaling the end of first period. Someone up there must really hate me.
Regaining my senses at last, I pushed him away hastily before someone entered the room. Both of us completely out of breath. His hair was tousled, his shirt hanging out of his jeans as he leaned his back against a nearby desk to steady himself. His eyes a blazing inferno of passion and hunger. I doubt I was any better.
“Oh, my god!” I gasped, correcting my clothing and running my hands through my hair to make it presentable. My lips, however, were a bit swollen when I touched them. And as memory stirred, I saw that the corner of his lip was indeed swollen and deep red.
“Your—” I started out breathlessly, but he cut me off.
“It wasn’t me. Just think about it. If I wanted you to myself, then why would I give away your secret and make you a walking target to all the horny bastards?” He spat out, his eyes going from passionate to murderous.
“B-but why?” I stuttered out, my heart thundering like a machine gun.
“Because you matter.”
