Chapter 9: Elijah's p.ov... 9

All the drive home all i could think about was Violet and the things i wanted to do with her, finally i had found the one the moon goddess had chosen for me and despite Laura believing her sister was human there was more to their story and back grounds, or at least Violets because she had a wolf buried deep with in but there non the less and now i was more determined than ever to find out what had drove Laura to fiercely defend her this morning.

Brax wanted to know who had hurt his woman so Neanderthal of him, but saying that at some point she had been on the receiving end of a brutal attack, the scare down the side of her face had been savagely done, despite this it hasn’t diminish anything from her beauty, she was fierce tonight it was breathtaking, the speed of her reflexes the way she had dealt with that dick head tonight showed skill and training.

Just thinking about that bastard touching my mate now makes me want to hunt him down and rip his fucking head off, how Brax and i kept our cool as we watched the events play was beyond me, really glad we did though she was truly magnificent, she will be amazing to watch as she grows into her role as Luna. I will be using every excuse known to man to see her and make her mine completely.

I know i am smiling like a Cheshire cat in this moment in time because poor Violet does not know what is about to happen to her, but i can promise you this, i will win i have waited too long for her. Yes her world is going to be rocked and turned upside down and Brax and i will be relishing every god damn second of it!

I woke to the blurting, blaring sound of my alarm, which threw me for a moment trying to recognize the sound as it, bloody hell it had been so long since i had managed to sleep through the night, it seemed i was in need of my mate after all. The old fucking wives tales seemed to be true or at least have an element of truth them after all, i used to think the elders were old fucking busy bodies seems like i was partly wrong, i still think they are old scheming busy bodies but at least part of the old tales told to us as kids had some relevance of truth to them. I stretched the aches from my bones and lay there for a few minuets thinking about Violet and how she moved, elegant almost like she had been a dancer. I could feel myself getting hard for her as i thought more about her, Jesus i felt like a kid who had found his dick for the first time, i hadn’t woken up with wood for years. I couldn’t but smile to myself it seemed there would be alot of things on the rise from now on, i had no intentions in part-taking in a little self gratification because when i do actually get my first time with Violet it is going to be completely the first time, no school boy wank imagining what she will feel like, my memories are going to be filled with how she actually feels around my cock.

I got up and took a shower to wash away the cobwebs, i wasn’t going to go for a run this morning i wanted to talk to Felix and Jasper regarding Trent before i would be steam rolling Laura into taking me to visit Violet under the pretence of buying some of her art, little did she know that the commission she had spoken to me about was actually mine and was going to be displayed in the newly built pack house. I am going to enjoy all the subtle expressions she displays as we slowly discover each others quirks. I walked into the kitchen Felix and Sarah were already there, with Jacob and Chloe was cooking, i hated her doing anything while she was so heavily pregnant, i was still too protective of my sister, so if i struggled with it heaven knows how Jacob dealt with it. She smiled up at me when i kissed her on her cheek “sit it’s almost ready” she said gently

I poured myself a coffee and went to join the others at the breakfast bar in the kitchen. Jacob as usual had his nose in the night reports he was so diligent, i needed to tell him that he had nothing to prove to us, he was family but i could sense that he still felt like he needed too, because he fell in love with my sister, i know not fell in love with but mated but to us i guess it is like falling in love, the only difference we never leave our mates unlike modern relationships, something i am going to be looking into.

“we had another rogue attack last night” Jacob cut into my thoughts

“another, that’s the third this month” i replied

“yes, it’s not random” he looked at me i could see he was trying to fathom it out because he had obviously seen something but hadn’t been able to make sense of it yet.

“up patrols in that area, but don’t leave other areas short, maybe add some of the training teens to patrol for experiences” i said looking at him.

“already done” i couldn’t help but smile at him he was a brilliant beta and part of me felt guilty he lost his position because Jasper was mine. Although at times you wouldn’t believe it because he didn’t get too involved with pack affairs, hated all the squabbling that went on in the pack. So Jacob did the job without the title maybe that was something i should discuss with Jasper he clearly enjoyed the club and restaurant side of us, well until it came to the books then it usually fell to me the try and make sense of them before the end of the tax year. But i enjoyed that so it was no real hardship at all.

Yes maybe i will do that for Jacob, i sipped my coffee watching Felix there was something worrying him, i was watching Sarah like a hawk “Felix we need to add some additional security to the club, i’ve taken a look at the books, the discrepancies started no long after Trent started at the club” Jacob’s head snapped up “he’s stealing?” it wasn’t actually a question more accusatory making me look at him

“elaborate” i said

“it’s no secret that Trent and i don’t get on, but that’s because i have always suspected him to be a theft”

“why?” i asked

“things would always disappear on his patrols, break ins all on his watch, but because his mum was one of the old Alphas concubines he would always get away with it or it would be swept under the carpet, he is and always has been a god damn thief” then there was something in his eyes, almost like a kind of realisation

“what?” i asked again

“can’t be sure, but i am wondering whether the rogue attacks have something to do with him” i looked at him for a few minutes, yes he was good “lets put a subtle watch on him, see of we give him enough rope if he hangs himself” i said

“we are upgrading our computer system so i will add additional cameras here and around the bars and clubs” Felix added

“thank you Felix, is everything alright?” i asked him he looked at me gave me a faint smile “i think Sarah is in steady labour but will not go to the clinic because i don’t know what i am talking about apparently”

I watched Sarah for a few moments and i knew Felix was right for a human she could be incredibly stubborn. We would be having a new addition to the family in a few hours by the looks of things, Chloe giggled all excited running her hand over her bump, i couldn't wait to be an uncle i was going to be the best god damn uncle in history.

Caleb came waltzing in from his night on the town “morning everyone” his voice all bright and cheerful, he sat down next to Sarah which he probably regretted as soon as he opened his mouth “are you alright sweet pea, you look a little off this morning”

“oh you can fuck off” was her reply to him, shocking him completely mild manners Sarah was swearing now we all knew she was in labor despite her rebuts

I ate slowly waiting for Jasper and Laura it was killing Brax and i we wanted to go to see Violet desperately but without seeming desperate in any shape or form, what can i say it’s a macho thing.

It felt like Brax was doing somersaults when they both walked into the kitchen “morning guys” Laura softly spoke sleep still filled her voice Jasper did his usual grunt except for me we mind linked ‘morning bro’ he said i smiled at him ‘you seemed a little chilled this morning’

‘i think finding my mate has done that’

‘who would have thought it was Violet, plus she has a wolf’

‘have you told Laura about that?’

‘no not yet, thought we should look into a bit more first’

‘thanks, i don’t want to stir the apple cart just yet, just want to get to know her first’

‘yeah she isn't going to be easy bro’

‘i know’

‘we need to talk too, i found when the losses started’

‘okay’

He poured a coffee and tea for Laura and sat down by me, i didn’t really need to say much because the first thing he said was “Trent?” my brother did have his moments, Jacob smiled at us “why ask if you had your suspicions”

“proof, i don’t want the bastard to think he can come into our place and steal with no repercussions, slimy bastard” Chloe’s tea nearly went all over Jacob had she not grab the towel quick enough “tell us how you feel bruv” she said her voice filled with laughter

“at least we are all on the same page” Jacob added, which was good i was going to enjoy this hen hunt!

“Laura are you free this morning, Violet said i could go and see her collection of work and i would like to strike while the iron is hot as they say” there was no way i was going to leave any wiggle room for Violet to get out of seeing me. Laura smiled “you know her too well already” she said, i smiled not enough i wanted to know every inch of her.

“maybe we could pick up your passport too while we are there” Jasper added it seemed he wasn’t going to miss out on the entertainment, i guess it was his turn to give me a good ribbing after the ones i gave him about being a love sick puppy when he first met Laura

“don’t eat too much i will get Violet to cook for us she is an amazing cook and baker”

We finished out breakfast with Sarah admitting defeat and going to the clinic to give birth and Chloe fretting like a mother hen, Jacob taking some of the load from Felix while he would be at Sarah’s side, Caleb was going to bed and i was going to see Violet with Laura and Jasper of course i drove i couldn’t be going there in some knocked up old beetle. I knew the moment we pulled into the lane it was where she was, her scent lingered softly it was intoxicating and i wanted to roll myself all over in it. The instant i pulled into the drive i felt at peace, i hadn’t realised how close to Laura and Violet we actually lived, which meant the woodland at the far end of my boundary line actually belong to Violet, i knew one thing i would no longer be staying out of this particular piece of woodland now i knew who it belonged too.
