Chapter 98: Part-86-1

"And we are done with the custard too." Sanyukta informed Vidhushi, keeping it in the fridge while Vidhushi with the help of Kaustuki was setting up the tables. "Thank you so much Sanyukta." Vidhushi said genuinely as Sanyukta made her way to the table and took a seat. "All this have not been possible without you two." It was four in the noon when all the three ladies were done with 'make-the-house-presentable-and-cook-something-anything-awesome' task. Yesterday only Parth parents told him about their sudden arrival. Parth knew they would coming soon after hearing the news but the date wasn't confirmed. His parents took care of all the things they had to back in London and book the earliest flight possible to meet them. It was just matter of time till they were done with work there. Parth delivered the news to Vidhushi making her go all panic. The house was a mess. Blame her morning sickness and the pregnancy hormones that she was being a lazy bum these days. She knew her in-laws will hardly care how the house look. Her health will be more of a concern for them. She love them. They had filled a void in her life. The parent love she always craved for. There was no doubt the Harsh and Renuka loved her life their own child but the truth is no one can replace of your parents. She vividly remember the news of her parents car accident. She was just ten. A lot to take for a ten year old. Back to the current story, there was a lot to do before her in-laws arrive. At least she has to make house little presentable and Parth was of no help. But again she can't blame him. He already has lot to handle office, meetings and her pregnancy mood swings making him all exhausted. The only help she could get was her cousin and her sister-in-law. So here they were. Helping her to prepare the meal and make the house good enough. She can't thank them enough. "You don't need to thank us." Sanyukta waved her hand dismissively taking a sit opposite Vidhushi in the dining area. "We are family and families always have each others back." "But still I'm grateful." Vidhushi gave a genuine smile. "Another way to say thank you." Sanyukta rolled her eyes. "Let's just drop this topic and you tell me how are you feeling these days? How long this morning sickness stay?" "Why are being so questioning Sanyukta? Are you and bhai planning something?" Kaustuki smirked wiggling her brows. "Shut up Kaustuki." Vidhushi rolled her eyes before diverting her attention back to Sanyukta who was already blushing. "I'm fine. Nothing serious just mood swings and morning sickness. One minute I'm like I want to eat something sweet and the very next minute I'm like I hate everything sweet. The thing about morning sickness doctor said it will remain for first few months." "Sanyukta, why don't you and bhai plan a baby too." Kaustuki again piped her opinion. "I'm becoming  a maasi I want to become a bua too." She pouted. If Sanyukta was not blushing before than she was definitely blushing then. She looked at Vidhushi, may be she will help her again and will shut Kaustuki big mouth. Instead of being  a help Vidhushi was also looking at Sanyukta with a suggestive grin on her face. Oh my God. Even she was not taking her side this time. Traitor. "I..ac..." Sanyukta was trying to form a proper sentence when Vidhushi interrupted. "Aren't you both ready for the child yet?" Vidhushi could see the hesitant look in her eyes. "No." Sanyukta denied too quickly for her own liking making Vidhushi raise her brows indicating her to tell what's the matter. "I don't know." She sighed. "I mean like we talk about babies, our future as parents but it was never like 'let's plan a baby thing'. We want a baby or two in future that is sure but we don't know which future the near future or a future little later. The baby talk always makes Randhir enthralled but again it was never like 'let's make babies'. You know the first time we did it, he did used protection and I don't know when I started taking precaution too and before you both start assuming let me make it clear Randhir is well aware of it." Both Vidhushi and Kaustuki nodded. "So I don't know what future have in store I'm just going with the flow and I'm loving every bit of it." She grinned. "I understand your condition but tell me one thing do you want a baby now?" Vidhushi asked. "Honestly, no. Don't get me wrong or anything, I want to be a mom but before being a mom I want to be a wife. Before starting my mom phase I want to enjoy my wife phase first. I know it's nothing like being a mom will hamper my wife thing. It is just that I want to enjoy each phase of my life with Randhir to it's fullest before going to the next one. I want to take things slow. Last few months were disturbing and now when everything is fine I want it to be like this only. I want to conquer being the wife responsibility to the best before adding up to be a parent responsibility." Sanyukta smiled as she explained herself and before being a parent she was to experience something else too. That was the conversation she was planning to have with Randhir today. "I understand Sanyukta." Vidhushi kept her plans on hers giving it a light squeeze. Of course she understand her views because she know her back story. "But in the end if Randhir wants a baby now then we will have baby now. I'll talk to him about this because I know how much he love children. Every time we talk about babies the smile on his face is something else only." She smiled to herself thinking about Randhir and his goofy smile. Anything for that smile and that man. "You should definitely talk to him once." "Now enough about me." Sanyukta said putting an end to all the serious talk. "Wasn't it awkward for you two to discuss about your brother love life?" She twitched her lips. "It's fine as long as it makes you feel better." Kaustuki smiled making Sanyukta smile grew wider. At times she thinks how can she be so lucky to not only have Randhir in her life but this amazing people too, the ones she refer her family now. --------------------------------- "I'll drop you home and then I'll go meet Randhir. Cool?" Sanyukta asked Kaustuki as she settled herself on the driver seat, buckled up her seat belt before starting the car. She was excited as she accelerated the car. A tingling feeling setting in the pit of her stomach. In the morning it was Kaustuki that drove the car. This was the first time she was driving without Randhir keeping an eye on her. Randhir did taught her the art of driving the car and from past few days he even let her drive to smooth her skills but it was always in his presence. She was excited to surprise him. She wanted to look at his reaction when he will come to know that she drove without his guidance that to perfectly and safely. All she wish then was to see the proud smile on his face and hug him, may be kiss him too. "Actually Sanyukta can you please drop me to dream delight cafe?" Kaustuki said fiddling with her fingers. "Jignesh wants to meet me and it is on your way." "Sure." "So another date huh?" Sanyukta asked. "If you like to put it in that words or in normal words we are just meeting here to spend some time together." She winked. "Mm.. Can I ask you something?" Sanyukta spoke hesitantly biting her lower lips. "Yeah."  Kaustuki gave her a encouraging smile. "See it's nothing like I'm invading your privacy.. I'm just.." "Worried for me." Kaustuki completed the sentence. "Chill Sanyukta. I know you so just ask me and don't think anything rubbish." "I'm just concerned for you. Worried isn't the correct word. You are mature enough to make your own decisions." Sanyukta explained. "I know. Now come on ask me what you want to ask." "Have you met his parents?" "No but we are planning this weekend."
