Chapter 73: Settling monetary disputes

Sandra then went back to her house and relaxed in her bedroom while Mark went to his house in Melon City to meet Gwen, his ex-wife. He called out her as he approached the house.

“I’m getting closer to home. I’m hoping you’re not where you said you were because I want us to go to the office of Ladino and sort this finance issue out.” he said over the phone to Gwen.

“I’m in my car. My body is no longer prepared to receive you. You’ve messed up my affections for you.” Gwen responded, but Mark didn’t trust her because he was aware of her misbehavior. He didn’t want to have sexual relations with her, despite the fact that she had expressed an interest in giving him her body. When he noticed the two armored cars belonging to the Melon security firm, he dropped the conversation, but Gwen didn’t notice Joel outside of her Yard. Joel came out of one of the cars to meet Mark as he approached the armored car. He spoke with Mark, who was inside the car, while standing outside with the window open.

“Should we follow you inside or wait for you outside? I mean, the Melon security agency and Gwen’s problem can be resolved the next day.” Joel inquired.

Mark replied, “I will call you if there is any need for you while I am inside the house.” Ham stepped outdoors onto the veranda. He spotted Mark conversing with the Melon security agency’s head. He also viewed the firm’s armored vehicles. He dashed to the house to warn Gwen but found her primping herself in the bedroom. He walked in and noticed her boss was preoccupied. He then turned and approached the door. Gwen sensed that something was wrong outside. She dashed over to her freshly appointed bodyguard.

“I can tell there’s something fishy going on outside. Has the billionaire arrived?” she inquired, waiting near the door, and Ham nodded.

He further stated that “the army of Melon security agency is stationed by the gate.”

“This means Mark is under Melon security agency’s protection. I invited Joel so that I could end my contract with his security agency. His daughter makes it difficult for me to work with him because she took my husband. Allow them to enter. I’ll be in the living room.” She addressed Ham, and he hurried outside to meet Mark, only to discover that Joel had returned to the armored car. Only Mark drove in once he opened the gate. Joel remained in the armored vehicles parked outside the entrance. Mark arrived and parked beside Ham. he stated as he opened the car window, “I’m hoping I’ll be safe inside the house. Is your boss lady lingering in the indoor pool?”

“She is waiting for both you and Joel in the sitting room. This is the day to settle any disagreements. I’m hoping she’ll deal with Joel once she’s dealt with you. You are just a security officer, not her advisor.” Mark mocked Ham. Don’t strive to establish yourself as the great guy in the house.”

“I honor your word but get ready for me when I take your room tomorrow.” Mark was enraged, as Ham responded. He then assumed that Gwen had already replaced him with Ham as her boyfriend. He got out of the car and followed Ham to Gwen’s sitting room. When Gwen spotted Mark, she sprang up and ran through the door to embrace him.

“I was afraid Sandra wouldn’t let you come. I only wish you serenity in your life. It’s for my personal benefit. I just want to move on with my life.” While Ham was watching, she stated this while still in Mark’s arms.

“I know you’ve moved on. You picked the average man over the billionaire.” Mark said before shifting out of Gwen’s embrace. She smiled and stared at him as he sat down on the couch.

“I just did it to look like you. Sandra, after all, is a regular girl who simply opened her legs for you on the first date. I am a billionaire as well, which is why I chose the average man who will provide me with the children I desire. I can tell we weren’t meant to be together, Mark, let us make that clear.” She said, amusing Ham.

Mark said to Ham, “Congratulations.” He then turned to Gwen and said, “Let us begin the talk so that you can move on freely with your life.” Gwen appeared in front of Mark, wearing a miniskirt, to seduce him once more. He only looked down as Gwen phoned Ladino, her Broker.

“My ex-husband and I have decided to split up and present you with our personal bank information.” We have also decided to divide Mark’s shares. As a result, fifty percent will be sent to my personal account, while the remainder will be paid to his personal account. I believe we can complete all of this virtually. As a result, there is no need for us to visit your office.”

Gwen addressed Ladino, who replied, “I will email you the form that you must fill out and sign. You will then return it to me, along with approval forms from both of your lawyers.”

“What is the purpose of consent? There were no lawyers at the time we chose you as our broker.” Gwen yelled at Ladino, and Mark looked up to see Gwen staring at him while she was on the phone. He chose to rise up and fold his hands in front of Gwen.

“You have brought the case to the authorities. As a result, both of your lawyers must sign the consent that legalized this act. You can just contact your lawyers and request the consent form. They will not keep it hidden. You’ll then send it to me together with the form I’ll provide you.”

Gwen responded, “fine!” as though she was upset with her broker. She then hung up the phone and stared at Mark.

“Call your lawyer and request the consent form” It is required. Make haste, for your face is revolting to me right now. I just want you to be gone.” Gwen yelled at Mark, and the way Gwen spoke to him made him feel ashamed. He contacted his lawyer and informed him of the consent paperwork mentioned by Gwen.

“I will send it to you right away.” He responded, and then Mark hung up the phone. As soon as he hung off the phone, an email arrived with the necessary consent form. He took it out and showed it to Gwen.

“Fill it and then send it to my email so that I can send it together with my consent for which I have to request from my Lawyer.” Gwen responded, and Mark performed as instructed. Then Gwen called her lawyer, Dyna, and informed her about the consent document.

“I might not be able to give you the consent form at the moment.” she said over the phone while she was in her office. However, I will contact your broker and discuss it with him so that he can make the necessary arrangements. Have you made a deal with Mark?” She inquired after her response.

“He’s standing right next to me. We are eager to complete this divorce so that we can move on with our lives. I mean, he’d already impregnated another girl while I was still his wife. In any case, I just want him to be happy.” Mark became entangled when he overheard Gwen telling her lawyer about Sandra’s pregnancy as though she knew everything. He waited for her to hang up the phone.

“Please contact Ladino right away. I’ll email back the form he just sent us to fill out.” She then hung up the phone when she observed Mark staring at her.

“This look does not frighten me. I am aware of both your strengths and limitations. Just tell me what I’m doing wrong and let it go.” Gwen replied to the way Mark gazed at her after noticing that something had angered him.

“Are you going to tell the entire world about Sandra’s pregnancy as if you know her life better than she knows her own? Who informed you of her pregnancy?” Mark yelled at Gwen, but she pretended not to notice how he chastised her.

“I mean, everyone knows how Sandra embarrassed you when she puked in your face when you were attempting to engage her in Simma’s jewelry store. Let us get down to business and quit talking about things that may aggravate this conflict.” Gwen hushed Mark with her statements, proving that she had seen the footage of him while he and Sandra were at the jewelry store. He remained silent and sidelong while she rubbed his smooth chin.

“Please bring me my laptop from my office so that we can do business with my business partner.” Gwen told Ham as she dispatched him to retrieve her laptop. Ham went into the office and returned with the laptop. He passed it to Gwen, who looked for the emails. She did, in fact, find it and electronically fill it out alongside Mark. They also included their personal banking information. She signed and handed it to Mark after she finished. Mark electronically signed it. As a result, she added the form to Mark’s consent form and forwarded it to Ladino. She then called him to double-check everything.

Ladino responded, “Your lawyer has just called me about the consent form that I requested of you. Your side has been settled. I also received the form I emailed you to complete. Everything will be in accordance with your desire during the following twenty-four hours.”

“I appreciate your hard effort. What we ask is that you split the shares that Mark owns.” Gwen’s response.

Ladino remarked “I will do that as well. I’d like to ask you a question. What about the eighteen billion dollars in your family’s bank account?” As he inquired, Gwen smiled at Mark.

“We’re now discussing the money in our family account, baby. May I get my nine billionaires so that the city of Melon may now refer to me as a billionaire like you?” Gwen asked it as though she was both excited and detested Mark.

“Instruct him to split the money. This is what we’ve come to terms with.” Mark reacted while seeming to be joyful although his heart was filled with rage at seeing himself decrease from eighteen billion to nine billion dollars owing to the divorce issues.

Gwen chuckled, then turned to Ladino and said, “Split the money and send it to our personal accounts.”

“This process will take twenty-four hours for the money to reflect into your personal accounts as well as the splitting of shares will happen withing this period as well.” Ladino replied.

“This means we’ve resolved the problem. We are able to carry on with our lives. Thank you,” he continued, to which Gwen responded, “and thanks to you as well.” She then hung up the phone and hugged Mark.

“You are free to leave. Blessed is the woman who won you into her arms. The only thing left to do now is sign the divorce papers to end the marriage and be free to live your life. Are we really enemies?” Gwen stated as she embraced Mark.

he said with a smile, “Thank you. If I have found Favor in your eyes, kindly show me the way out of the house so that I can return to my place in peace.” He then walked to the door, and Gwen followed him, followed by Ham. When Mark got into his car, Gwen noticed the gate and recognized the Melon security agency.

“Are they now your security guards?” She inquired of Mark, who nodded.
