Chapter 10: Attempt to rescue the captives
The tycoon’s spouse is impatiently waiting for her husband to return, oblivious to the fact that he was engaged in an unrelated campaign. Mark departed the car where he had left his crush, Sandra locked in his Bugatti, and headed around the mall parking lot to the armored car. The Melon security agency observed that the tycoon had abducted the spy, agent Cruise. That was just one more immature move on the part of the tycoon, illustrating his lack of maturity. Gwen, the tycoon’s wife, decided to get in touch with the Melon security firm she had hired to spy on Mark. Ham picked up the phone when she found him.
She exclaimed, “Ham, I must meet with your boss. I need to find out where my husband is too.”
Ham answered, “My boss will be in the office shortly. He was still not here. The cause is unknown to us. Your spouse is in his armored car, parked outside the Melon shopping mall. He had taken our colleague hostage.” Gwen was astounded by what Ham had reported. She managed to make herself some coffee, though, and then she just hung up the phone and went to relax on her home’s terrace. The tycoon’s wife gave off the impression that she was alone and was thinking about her husband, who had committed a stupid act, as though he were just another person. Sandra had gone into a deep sleep while locked in a Bugatti and the Melon Security Agency was working feverishly to devise a new plan of action to save their fellow security guards, including their private investigator, Agent Cruise.
“Looks like we’re in trouble, but not the right trouble.” After ending his chat with the tycoon’s wife, Ham said to his colleague. Seated in the surveillance studio, they attempted to record all that came into the view of their agent, who had been dispatched to the Melon Mall to spy on Mark. They saw that agent Cruise needed to be rescued from the tycoon’s armored car, so they had to send their security guard to help.
“Should we dispatch our defense troops to the scene?” Wayne, the second chief of security for Melon, expresses his worries. The other security officers expressed their concern about the situation, which they expected to get worse, by nodding their heads. Sandra’s father, Joel, their commander, wasn’t present in the room at the time. He showed up at the tycoon’s house gate. While she was relaxing on her home’s veranda, Gwen caught sight of Joel. She was relieved that Joel had made it to her home because she had been considering how to get in touch with him to inquire about her husband’s safety. She got up from where she was sitting outside and went to the gate to meet Joel. Still, he made the decision to drive in and pulled into the gate. He moved in closer to give Gwen a hug after getting out of his car. He started to kiss her, but Gwen stopped him.
She then told him to resolve the issue between Sandra, Joel’s daughter and Mark, The tycoon’s wife. “She’s too young to be played by a womanizer.” Joel chose not to respond at that point since he didn’t want to influence his child’s decisions. Gwen assumed Joel would comply with her request. That’s why she went to sit on the veranda with him and relax. She went to make him some tea and left him relaxing on the chair. Returning, she sat down beside him, hoping to discuss her safety with him. But, his security guard considered calling him, the head of the Melon security agency, to ask about the new plan to save their colleague.
“Boss, we’ve caught the agent we sent to spy on Mark. Right now, he’s near Melon Mall.” At the time, the inquiries were being handled by Ham, the head of security guard. In an attempt to get authorization to send his security personnel to the mall in order to save agent Cruise, he informed Joel about the incident.
“Take any action that occurs to you. You’re welcome, sir.” Joel replied, carrying a glass cup of coffee that Gwen had made for him at the billionaire’s home. Like the head of the household, he sat. conversing as though they were husband and wife while sitting on the billionaire’s wife’s porch.
“I’ll take my army to the mall.” Ham suggested picking up the phone with Joel once more. He took this action to reassure his boss that he was leading the security company and ensuring the safety of both the city and agent Cruise, his colleague.
“Okay.” Joel answered the phone and hung up. He was reluctant to inform Gwen that Mark had captured his spy. After taking a sip of the coffee, he turned to face Gwen. Ham was now gathering his team of security personnel to dispatch to Agent Cruise for the rescue.
“Your security agency has my respect.” During their conversation at Mark’s opulent estate, Gwen gave Joel praise. As if they were husband and wife, they sat.
“Many thanks for that.” When we bring your husband’s soiled linen, prove it to us. Joel responded by sipping and admiring the billionaire’s wife, who looked as though she needed her husband back home.
“You seem as though you were prepared to give me something.” Gwen said, glancing at Joel through her sunglasses. The day was sunny and pleasant. A day to unwind in the shade and take in the breeze beneath the tree with the family. It was an empty nest, so anything could happen. The tycoon wanted a family but was without kids shortly after he married his wife.
“Now that you know your spouse is having multiple affairs, what are your plans?” Joel asked, his eyes focused on Gwen’s stunning legs that she had placed in front of her on the coffee table as she sipped her beverage. As Joel and Gwen carried on their dialogue, Ham called for his security personnel. He was prepared to use them.
“Guys, prepare yourself. We are going to take a stroll into the mall. Take caution.” Ham persuaded security that he was getting ready to deploy to the mall in Melon in order to get their fellow agent back. They left their station and got into their security van, heading for the mall. He then informs his boss of the situation.
“I’ve prepared my defenses.” they said as they headed to the mall. Joel appeared oblivious to the report that the head of his security company had given him, even though Ham had told his boss about it. The tycoon’s wife’s beauty captivated him; she seemed to be in need of a man who could look after her.
“Well done.” Just before hanging up, Joel said. Then, curious to learn more about Gwen’s plans, he turned to face her while posing a question. Three armored vehicles were dispatched to the mall in order to protect agent Cruise and provide assistance. But it seemed like there was a hiccup in their interaction, as they were unable to locate the agent Cruise’s whereabouts. Although Ham was hesitant to notify his boss after realizing that Joel was preoccupied with other matters, he considered doing so.
But before he could even attempt to call, he yelled, “Buckle up boys,” at his security guards. There is no longer any signal. It seems like they damaged his tracking device. Joel, his boss, was called, but he did not pick up. Ham assumed leadership of the campaign as a result. He only expected him to deliver the results of their investigation.
“Regardless, we have to get there. We will also be able to enter the restaurant.” Joel seemed to be ignoring him, so Ham told his team. Ham appointed Wayne as the campaign’s leader as they were approaching the mall. He thus took the lead for the other team.
“We’re headed to the busiest shopping center in Melon. Exercise caution.” He told his security to get dressed with their protective vest and he let them know he was in charge. The “Melon Security Agency” reflectors were put on after they had all put on their bulletproof vests. This had to be a sign that they weren’t there to carry out the law; rather, they were at the mall to enforce it. Joel carried on talking with the tycoon’s wife, Gwen, while his security team made their way to the mall. The woman felt comfortable with the head of the Melon security division. She arrived at the house, finished the coffee, and brought out the champagne, as though she intended to spend time with Joel. She popped it and continued to stand, pouring for Joel and herself. When they were talking, she sat down and drank.
“Handling your partner after they have cheated on you is difficult. Later, I’ll see what I can manage.” Tears filled Gwen’s eyes as she spoke. She thought she was losing control of herself because the wine was making her so emotional. As she awaited her husband’s return, she saw Joel standing by her side like a rock.
“I agree with you. Divorce is a reasonable option.” Joel guessed out loud as he filled a cup with champagne for himself. But the tycoon’s wife found his suggestion to be a bitter pill to swallow. She and Mark are connected in so many ways. Even though Gwen made everything seem like Mark’s possessions, they share shares in every business that Mark has invested in. Eighteen billion dollars are in the family bank account, which is linked to Mark’s net worth. The billions will have to be divided if the two disagree. Gwen would become a different billionaire as a result. Regretfully, that’s not what she wanted right now.
“I don’t believe it, even if we just decide to part ways and carry on as friends. I am his, and I am one with Mark.” Gwen’s words didn’t make sense even as she was speaking. This is after she carefully considered the benefits she would receive after her divorce. She started laughing at herself to make it look like she was drunk to Joel.
“What did I say just now?” Trying to remember her previous debate, which even Joel found confusing, she said out loud.
“You should have said that you didn’t want to wreck your husband’s life.” Joel corrected Gwen, but she didn’t understand what he was saying either. Gwen gave a head nod. By the time they had finished talking, Wayne and Ham had reached the mall. Rifles out, they step out of their armored cars with the security team following them. Gwen was still having a good time at this point.
“My mind is disorganized. Everything seems nonsensical.” She laughed so hard that she started crying as she said this. She glanced at Joel, but his attention was glued to the champagne-filled glass cup. He gave the impression that he was unaware of Gwen’s focus on him.
“I need a favor from you.” Gwen said, giving Joel a quick glance. When he was told to stand up, he did so as though ready to go anywhere. This is the proprietor of the security company that has been spying on Mark after being hired by the billionaire’s wife, Gwen, to look into Mark.
“Would you kindly lead the way to my room? I need to rest; I’m tired.” Joel was standing up and getting ready to help the woman when Gwen spoke to him. After getting her up, he led her to her room. Then, as she swooned over him, he turned to face her. Joel pulled her close, kissing her. As he started to undress her, his personal phone rang, and he recognized it as his wife.
“I’m heading there, I say. I’ll hear it all when I get there.” Joel said as soon as he picked up the phone. After hanging up the phone, he sat on the bed and started to consider the news he had just received. Gwen sensed he was in discomfort, so she started giving him a back massage. Joel was trying to look sad for the reason he thought his wife had figured out where he was. He was aware that his security personnel might notify her.
“An accident occurred. It is unclear if Lear, the youngest daughter, is involved or not.” Joel sounded as though he was grieving the loss of a loved one. Joel was called home by his wife, Anne, but not due to something was wrong. Sandra, who is currently locked up in a Bugatti, and Lear, who is at the salon, are his two daughters. Joel has no idea what has transpired with Sandra.
“I’m sorry about that. You’re free to attend. Alone with myself, I’ll be fine. You can go back if you’d like.” The man became calmer as Gwen spoke in a seductive tone. He looked at her, a smile on his face. Subsequently, he slung his jacket over his arm. Gwen kept staring at him. Faking a smile, he left the room, made his way to his car, and drove off. After Joel left, the tycoon’s wife was left to think back on her botched attempt to have sex with the father of the girl her husband was crushing on.
“What did I do? What the heck was I thinking?” Following the security guard’s departure, Gwen’s mind was racing with inquiries.
“I don’t know if my husband is cheating on me, so how can I cheat?” She thought to herself, but said nothing. She went to her gaming studio to kill time by playing video games as a result. She wasn’t drunk anymore. She’s been clean for a while now.
