Chapter 114
Chapter 114
Naya's eyes widened, her heart racing as she slowly looked up to see Kael standing beside her, his usual arrogant smile softened by a hint of concern. A single tear slid down her cheek, and as Kael’s smile faded, his expression grew cold, especially when another voice cut through the air.
"Even until the end, you're still weak," Alfredo sneered. "I raised you, trained you, and you can't even complete your mission! If you're not going to do it, then I will! Men, kill the heir! Bring me his head!"
At Alfredo's command, the soldiers of the Light Shadow Pack, along with the remaining Midnight Seven, charged forward.
Zeke, knowing how much Luna Alicia wanted to protect Billy—Ruben—leapt into the fray, defending him and fighting alongside the Crimson Stone Pack soldiers. Kael soon joined the battle, shifting into his wolf form and tearing through the Light Shadow Pack members with lethal precision. The two brothers fought side by side until Kael confronted Alfredo.
"So, you're her father?" Kael asked, his voice laced with disdain.
Alfredo regarded Kael with contempt. "Get out of my way if you don't want to die."
But Kael pressed forward, his restraint evident as he fought, aware that killing Alfredo could push Naya beyond the brink. She already seemed on the verge of losing herself.
Kael paused, surveying the chaotic battlefield—wolves and humans clashing in a violent struggle, two packs tearing each other apart. All because of vengeance. His smirk turned into a cold laugh that grew louder, reverberating across the land, drawing the attention of every combatant.
The sun had set, and the rain had ceased. Kael stood with a dangerous smile, the rising blood moon casting a crimson glow over the battlefield.
Naya, disoriented and held by Luna Alicia, suddenly pulled away, her gaze fixed on the sky. The blood moon painted the heavens red, and amidst the chaos, a massive green, jewel-like comet streaked across the sky.
Far away, in the largest temple dedicated to the Moon Goddess, the Spiritual Disciples gathered, their voices rising in a sacred chant.
Sana Diana, the head follower, turned to the others. "The jade comet has come, just as the prophecy foretold. This means... the Alpha King's descendant has come to claim his throne."
As the battlefields across the world fell silent, all eyes turned skyward. The blood moon, now joined by a jade comet hurtling toward Earth, cast an eerie glow over the landscape. Wolves, in their primal forms, howled in unison, driven by an inexplicable surge of energy. Those in human form were equally mesmerized, trembling with a power that seemed to vibrate through their very veins.
At the Crimson Stone Pack’s tower, Kael stood, his eyes gleaming a dangerous red. The crowd around him, both allies and enemies, stared in shock. Even the warriors of the Light Shadow Pack began to drop to their knees in awe and fear. Kael’s power was undeniable, and as he moved forward, he headed straight for Naya.
Luna Alicia, despite the overwhelming energy emanating from Kael, struggled to speak. “P-Please, don’t hurt her…” Her voice was filled with desperation as she pleaded for Naya’s safety.
Naya met Kael’s gaze, sensing that something was deeply wrong. His eyes, once familiar and warm, now held a terrifying intensity. Just as he raised his hand to strike Luna Alicia, Zeke intervened, shielding her with his body.
“Get a hold of yourself, Kael!” Zeke shouted, though the pain in his voice was evident as he struggled against his injuries.
But Kael didn’t hear him. He was lost to the overwhelming power that surged through him, attacking anyone who dared to stand in his way. His strength was unstoppable, his aura lethal.
Jed, observing from the sidelines, clenched his teeth. “This is bad,” he muttered. “Prince Kael has been suppressing this power for a long time… I… I didn’t know he was the descendant until we went to the Moon Goddess temple. If only I had known earlier, I could’ve done something. Anything…”
Naya could feel Jed’s regret and her own heart twisted with conflicting emotions as she watched Kael fight. His ferocity was unmatched, leaving nothing but shadows and the glow of his now-red eyes in his wake.
Jed continued, his voice filled with sorrow. “All descendants bear the same curse. Anyone who discovers their secret is doomed to die. Prince Kael must have believed his mother’s death was his fault. Lady Alessandra, too… He hates his power, no matter how great it is. And before any descendant can rule, they must destroy their own heart and mind. To fully wield the king’s power, they must first relinquish their own…”
Naya’s eyes stayed locked on Kael as he tore through his enemies. Unable to stand by any longer, she began to move toward him.
“Where are you going? Naya!” Jed called out, using her name for the first time, but she didn’t stop.
As she moved forward, Alfredo blocked her path, his gaze cold and unforgiving. “You are going to finish your mission.”
But in a blink, Alfredo’s image vanished, leaving Naya gasping for breath. The world around her blurred, save for one figure—the tall shadow of Kael, who was fighting not only his enemies but also himself.
Summoning every ounce of strength, Naya continued on, her steps heavy with the weight of her confusion and pain. Finally, she reached Kael just as he prepared to drive his claws into Alfredo’s chest.
“That’s enough,” she whispered, her hand gently touching Kael.
For a brief moment, Kael seemed to snap back to reality. His fierce gaze softened ever so slightly.
When it wasn’t enough to fully reach him, Naya wrapped her arms around him, pressing her body to his back. She leaned into him, her breath heavy and fast. “I won’t die,” she whispered, her words filled with determination.
Just three words, but they were enough to make Kael pause. Slowly, he turned to face her, his once-wild eyes locking onto hers.
Naya held his gaze, as resolute as the day they first met. “Can you do the same for me?” she asked, her voice steady.
In that moment, Kael saw something in her eyes that he had never seen before—acceptance. Despite the beast he had become, this woman before him wasn’t offering to die for him; she was offering to live with him, to stand by his side.
She wanted him to live.
And that was all he needed. In a world that had only ever cursed him and wished for his death, Naya’s words were a beacon of light in his darkness. It was the only light that mattered.
Naya’s strength began to falter, and she swayed on her feet. Kael caught her effortlessly, his strong arms wrapping protectively around her, shielding her from the chaos of the world.
Leaning her head against his chest, Naya hid her face and whispered, “Take me away. Please.”
There was something in the way she nestled against him, or perhaps it was the first time she had ever asked for anything, but it made Kael’s eyes soften. His red eyes faded back to their natural forest green, and with a quiet, calm voice, he replied, “Fine.”
Carrying Naya, Kael began to walk away. For the first time, he tapped into the full extent of his new power as the Alpha King’s descendant. His voice echoed in the minds of every being on earth, declaring, “Anyone who trespasses another’s territory will be slain by their own blades.”
But even as they left, Alfredo didn’t heed the warning. He charged at Billy, desperate to finish what he had started. When he failed, he turned his wrath on Luna Alicia, but before he could reach her, Zeke intervened, ending Alfredo’s life.
Even from a distance, Naya felt the battle’s end. She froze, her heart sinking as if the world had stopped turning. When Kael asked if she wanted to look back, she remained silent.
The sounds of chaos behind them were drowned out as Naya buried herself further in Kael’s arms. Her small gesture was all the answer he needed.
Now, it was just the two of them—Kael, his fated mate, and their unborn child. Nothing else mattered.
The End

Author’s Note:
Hello, everyone. Author Cay here. I want to express my heartfelt thanks to each of you who read Unhinged Alpha’s Slave Mate. I love everything about this book, and it brings me so much joy whenever a reader shares their thoughts on each chapter. Your comments motivate me to keep writing. Thank you for sticking with Kael and Naya’s story until the end. Their journey wasn’t easy—they faced many challenges—but the important thing is that they chose each other in the end and found hope in one another. That’s the message I wanted to convey with this story: hope.
Both Naya and Kael started with sad and dark lives, shaped by the harsh environments they grew up in. They developed self-destructive tendencies, but together, they found light—symbolizing the hope they needed to break free from those destructive patterns. They inspired each other and realized that surviving in this world isn’t just about physical strength; it’s about having someone who will stand by your side no matter what. That support is what they found in each other, and it made them feel safe.
But is this really the end? Keep an eye out for a possible sequel. I’ll consider all your suggestions when I create the next book, so feel free to share your thoughts—whether it’s about this story or another one I’ll write in the future.
Once again, thank you so much. I hope you enjoyed this story as much as I enjoyed writing it. I wish you all a sweet life and a “Tree Nut” who will fight for you and protect you from the harshness of the world.
