Chapter 51 Camilla’s Pov.
We got to the club with Rizzo right behind me. I tried to ignore his presence but it's next to impossible when he's twice the size of me. I spotted Chloe's long blonde hair in the distance as she walked towards me in a navy blue mini dress and cute black heels.
We obviously didn't come with any clothes but whoever Àlvaro got picking out our clothes is one hell of a shopper!
"Hey!" I greeted her, enveloping her in a hug.
She wrapped her arms around me. "So good to see you again Cam."
"You too." I nodded and beckoned towards the club where people were already queuing.
As we walked past the head security, my eyes caught a pair of dark ones. "Camilla?" Antonio's voice caught me by surprise. "I didn't know you were coming down tonight. Does Àlvaro know you're here?"
"Does he have to be?" I shrugged as his eyes flicked to Chloe beside me.
"Come then." He finally said after a few seconds, allowing us to cut the queue. "I'll get you girls...and guy a table in the VIP section."
Chloe turned to me with wide eyes. "Wow." She breathed in my ear. "I wasn't expecting that."
"Well, Anthonio and Àlvaro go way back. I'm sure he's just trying to please us."
Anthonio offered us a busy table in the VIP section where the music was flowing. He have us a bottle of champagne on the house and who was I to complain? I had no money to even pay for anything in the first place. Rizzo doesn't sit with us. He just stood nearby, probably observing potential threats.
"I don't know how you managed to get a phone but I'm so glad you texted me." I grinned at Chloe.
Her lashes fluttered open to meet mine. "Well, I guess we both know how being in on a Saturday sucks."
I raised my glass towards her and clink. "You can say that again." I drank down a big gulp. I took a look at Rizzo who was busy pacing in front of us.
"What's up with him?" Chloe asked.
"Àlvaro insisted I get a bodyguard." I muttered before I finished my glass completely.
"How come I didn't get one? I'm jealous." Chloe pouted and I couldn't help but laugh out loud.
I laughed out loud, filling up my glass and Chloe's too. "Trust me you don't want one. See how easy it was for you to sneak out? I literally had to blackmail Rizzo before I could come here."
Her mouth fell open slowly. "Camilla! Okay, you blackmailed him with what?"
My eyes took a subtle glance around. "Yeah, I probably shouldn't be saying that out loud."
"That doesn't answer the question."
I laughed as I grabbed her arm. "Come on! Let's go dance."
Chloe beamed at me, completely forgetting her earlier interrogation. "Okay."
Rizzo huffed out a sigh when we made our way to the dance floor but he doesn't protest. We walked down the steps to be met with a room full of people having the time of their lives.
I took Chloe's hand and planted ourselves in the middle of the dance floor underneath the biggest disco ball I've ever seen. Different colored lights flashed across the floor and our faces as we danced to the fast paced music, everyone moving in different directions.
My feet ached in my shoes but we didn't stop. Our drinks finished but we carried on dancing, singing the lyrics to each other and at one point, hugging.
Chloe's body moved and rolled in a different way to mine. She looked like a goddess as she danced, so effortless and carefree.
"Hey." I pressed my lips to her ear, shouting over the loud music. "You truly are a really good dancer."
She pulled back and beamed at me. "Are you just realizing? You should've seen me on the night of your birthday."
Showoff!
When we decided we needed a break from the dance floor, we head back upstairs to finish our champagne. It's safe to say that my head is a little steaming right now. Chloe seemed a little more composed but we were both giggling and talking fast for no reason.
"You know, we could get another drink and pin it on Àlvaro. I'm sure he'd have a tab in his best friend's club." Chloe said.
I nodded, following her lead, completely forgetting that Àlvaro wasn't supposed to know that I was here.
We stood at the bar, waiting to be served when a man with dark blonde hair and tan skin approached. He's dressed down in a smart suit and has a short glass of whiskey in his hands. I could smell it from here.
"Hey, pretty lady." He smirked in my direction.
"Hi." I said to him and then looked back at Chloe.
He wrapped a hand around my wrist gently and tugged my attention back to his. "What's your name?"
I stared up into the bluest eyes I've ever seen. "Stephanie." I mumbled.
His eyes narrowed in my direction but he smirked anyway. "Stephanie, huh?"
"That's right."
We inched closer to the bar and I perched on one of the stools, Chloe beside me. The stranger leaned on the bar beside me. "Well, I'm Colin."
"Cool." I said, disinterested in whatever his name was as I turned my attention to the bartender. "Hi, could I get another bottle of champagne, please?"
Colin, or whatever his name was, moved in closer until I could feel the breath on his face. I pulled away slowly. "You wanna come dance with me, sweetheart?"
"I'm okay, thanks." I shook my head. "Girls night."
"That's a shame." He licked his lips. "I could've shown you a good time."
I opened my mouth to speak but someone approached us from behind. The hairs on the back of my neck stood straight and I sucked in a breath as I glanced over my shoulder. My eyes landed directly on Àlvaro's and boy, he doesn't look happy. He looks furious.
He looked like he was about to tear down the entire club. I gulped at his presence, ignoring Colin as he tried to inch closer to him, not even noticing the dilemma I was in.
"Oh fuck." I whispered under my breath.
My blood turned cold as Chloe scooted closer to me. "We're fucked, aren't we?"
"That man is about to punish the shit out of me."
Suddenly, I realised what a silly mistake I've made because the look on Àlvaro's face isn't welcoming or warm. It's from the depths of hell and I know I've fucked up. The guy whose name is Colin was still trying to talk to me. Rizzo was somewhere at the bar and hadn't noticed Àlvaro yet or the dilemma I was in.
"He looks freaking angry." Chloe whispered to me.
"Yeah, we're totally screwed."
Àlvaro took two steps towards me as I swivel in the chair, feeling my blood run cold within a matter of seconds.
oh God, oh God.
His dark eyes narrowed towards me, shoulders tense, and his stance...he's about to show me who's boss.
When he was within hearing distance, he paused. "Get your ass off of that fucking chair right now."
His words were sharp and lethal yet my thighs clenched together at the way they washed over my body. I know I've been up to no good without telling him where I was going to but I should be allowed to go out when I fucking want. He once said he didn't want me to feel like a prisoner but how come he keeps treating me like one?
Besides, Rizzo has been here all night watching my every move. I've been safe.
Colin turned to a fuming Àlvaro. "Back off dude." He grunts.
Àlvaro's pitch black eyes turned to the stranger besides me. He grabbed a fistful of his shirt and for a second, I thought he was about to headbutt him but he doesn't. "If you don't get out of here within the next five seconds, I'm gonna spray your brains across these walls and I don't give a fuck who sees it." Àlvaro growled through his teeth.
The guy's eyes shot wide and he scrambled away from his seat like a coward and I resisted the urge to roll my eyes. "Stand the fuck up now." He said again. "Both of you." He turned to Chloe too.
I pressed my teeth into my teeth as Chloe stood up fast but I was still sitting down.
"Camilla." Àlvaro groaned. "Don't make me tell you again."
