Chapter 32 Camilla’s Pov.

Chapter 32 Camilla’s Pov.
I sat huddled behind the storage boxes, my entire body shaking. Dried tears stained my cheeks.

Maybe Àlvaro must've noticed by now that I wasn't in my room but I couldn't bring myself to move. I didn't know that woman but my heart bled for her. I could only imagine how I'd feel if Àlvaro had done that to someone I knew.

Àlvaro truly was a soulless monster.

I glanced down at the tattoo on my wrist, the black mafia insignia was a symbol of who I was now and I hated it.

I was about to get up and return to my room when the garage door opened and a black SUV pulled in. The garage door remained open.

A way out!!!

I crept over near the door, remaining hidden as I looked for the best way out. The door to the sleek car open and men piled out. I heard the screaming immediately as they dragged a figure out of the car.

Oh God! Not another poor victim!

"Let go of me you fuck head!" I heard a shrill scream as they pulled a girl with a bag over her head out of the car.

I squinted as I saw blonde hair poking out from under the bag.

"You little cock sucker! You won't get away with this!" She roared and dread suddenly pooled through me as I recognized that voice.

My heart raced. My entire body froze.

"Shut up you stupid greedy bitch." One of the men growled as he kicked her legs out from under her and sat her down in a chair.

Her voice muffled as he ripped the bag off of her head.

Oh my god.

It's Chloe.

Àlvaro's Pov.

"Sir. We have her down in the garage. Would you like us to bring her into the interrogation room?"

I shook my head. "No, that's okay. There's already blood in the garage. Keep her in there."

After I took Camilla, I took care of her friends by paying them off. I could easily have killed them too but four missing college girls would definitely be investigated as opposed to one and that's attention I really didn't need at this time even though I had most of the Miami police department on my payroll.

I paid off her friends pretty generously to keep Camilla’s disappearance a secret. Now, one of those bitches is demanding for more.

So much for friendship.

I was more than happy to show her how I treat greedy bitches.

I walked with my men into the garage where the little bitch sat screaming a string of colorful curses.

"Enough." I growled at her.

There was no denying that she was a fairly attractive woman, with bleach blonde hair and a face full of makeup. Her full breasts heaved as she stared daggers at me, her eyes flaming.

"You're the little Oliver twist, yeah?"

She said nothing.

I grinned mercilessly at her. "It's a shame that your greediness has to be the reason you die."

Her eyes widened in panic. "Y–you can't kill me! We concocted a story to explain Camilla’s disappearance and no one questioned it. Imagine the attention if I go missing too. You'll be arrested within seconds you monster!"

"You really are stupid as well as dumb, aren't you?" I smiled mischievously.

Her eyebrows shot up as a tear streamed down her face.

"You see, blondie...." I said slowly as I brought out a switchblade and walked around her. "Paying you guys off was only just a courtesy. I have most of the Miami PD on my payroll." I took the knife and trailed it along her facial features.

She blinked away another tear.

"I have every intention of killing you to send a message to the other bitches if they so much as think about coming back to extort me. It would give me the absolute pleasure to remind you guys what shitty friends you are."

I stopped the knife at her throat, pressing the tip slightly in, until drops of blood trailed down her neck. She inhaled slightly.

"Fuck you." She said strongly.

My temper rose. How dare this bitch speak to me like that.

I took the knife away from her throat and with a smug smile, I smashed my fist across her face. She screamed as my fist connected with her flesh, blood sprayed out of her mouth from the contact, a cut opened up by the side of her mouth.

"You do not speak to me that way, blondie."

"Why does it matter? You're going to kill me either way."

I nodded in agreement. "How very true. But you'll go down still showing me the utmost respect." I said as I raised my gun. She lets out a scream and just as I was about to pull the trigger, I heard another scream.

A familiar scream.

I turned towards the noise, the gun still pointed at the blonde.

Camilla stood about twenty feet away, tears streaming down her face. I cursed under my breath as I nodded for Santiago to take care of it.

I hated that Camilla had to see this side of me. She has seen me kill before but I've never been this way to a woman in front of her before. I was surprised to realize that I felt a little bit ashamed.

"No!" She screamed as she ran past Santiago.

"Àlvaro." She sobbed as she ran towards me. "You can't kill her. She's my friend."

"If you still think this girl right here is your friend, then you must be even more stupid than I thought." I growled as Santiago grabbed her.

She struggled against him, tears pouring down her face as she kicked and scratched Santiago. Three of my men ran to help Santiago but he waved them off and I stood with my gun still aimed at the blonde.

"Àlvaro, please!" She begged as Santiago began dragging her away. Her eyes pleaded with me and I couldn't help the intense guilt that flooded through me.

Fuck!

Why does this girl have such an effect on me?

I raised my hand for Santiago to stop dragging her. I walked to Damien who had been watching with wide eyes as the scene unfolded.

"Take her to the dark room, don't touch her, don't say anything to her. Await further orders." I said, referring to the blonde.

"Yes sir." He said.

I walked over to Camilla. She looked so fierce and strong, yet so vulnerable. How long had she been watching? Had she seen my other violent interrogation?

One look in her fear filled eyes and I had my answer.

"Please, Àlvaro, don't kill her." She begged, her lips quivering.

I nodded my head for Santiago to let her go as I gathered her in my arms. She fought me as I crushed her to me, her small body no match to fight me.

She cried into my dress shirt and continued to fight me as I walked out of the garage and made my way down the halls.

Eventually, she dropped all of her weight to the ground and I caught her with ease, bundling her small frame in my arms. I carried her up the stairs and whisked her into my room, her tears dampening my shirt.

She clung to me as she sobbed and I hated the fact that she was like this because of me. I should've just killed her when I had the chance, then maybe I wouldn't be battling with these confusing emotions.

"Shhh, chica. It's okay. I'm not going to hurt her."

She raised her head to look at me, tears clinging to her eyes. "But I saw you. That other woman. Y-you, y-you—"

I nodded quietly. "I know, chica. But that's who I am. I just wished you hadn't seen that. I'm not going to hurt your friend if she means that much to you but I'll tell you something, those girls are not your friends."

"I heard everything but I couldn't just stand by and watch you kill her." She said quietly. "They're all I have left of who I used to be."

I nodded and silently cursed myself for coming off too vulnerable because of her. I had spent years building walls that were supposed to keep everyone out but from the moment Camilla literally crashed into my life and the moment my dick entered her pussy, those walls were slowly beginning to crumble.

Fuck!

I knew I should've killed her the first chance I got.
