Chapter 120 Experience Camp

Chapter 120 Experience Camp

Evelyn hadn't slept well for days, and she even got sick with a high fever.

Arthur was very worried about this. After arranging things at the company, he came home early to take care of her.

"Mommy, are you okay?"

The four children stood obediently by the bed, looking anxiously at Evelyn's flushed face, their hearts filled with worry.

"I'm fine..."

Evelyn weakly forced out a smile, trying to comfort them, "You guys go play, don't worry about me. I'll be fine after some sleep."

But the children weren't in the mood for that. Seeing Evelyn's forced appearance, they were almost in tears. "Mommy, we want to stay with you!"

John and James ran to get water and fever medicine. Julian helped treat Evelyn, while Ella ran to get her favorite teddy bear and tucked it into Evelyn's arms.

"Mommy, please get better soon!"

Watching the four children looking at her with such concern, Evelyn couldn't help but smile gently, feeling warmth in her heart.

Although being sick wasn't good, having the children by her side and caring for her still made her feel happy.

"Alright, I know how you feel."

Arthur finished his phone call and walked to the bedside, touching Evelyn's forehead with concern.

He had already called the family doctor earlier, who had prescribed medicine for Evelyn. But the fever would take some time to break, and no matter how anxious they were, there was nothing they could do but wait patiently.

"Evelyn, feeling any better?"

Hearing Arthur's gentle inquiry, Evelyn smiled and nodded.

"There's been too much going on lately, and it's all very tricky," Arthur sighed slowly, saying with concern, "But I didn't expect it to turn out like this. If I'd known, I should have been the one to respond, not let you become their target."

Evelyn was quite open-minded about it, saying lightly, "Whether it was you or me, the result would be the same. They just want to see us defeated. The process doesn't matter to them; they only care about the outcome."

Even if Arthur had been the one doing the interview that day, he would have been targeted by the public just the same, criticized beyond recognition.

Arthur gazed at her deeply, understanding that Evelyn had a point. He was about to tell her to sleep some more when the doorbell rang.

He got up to answer it, only to find it was Theodore.

Theodore glanced at him and walked straight into the house, saying as he went, "I heard about everything. Where's Evelyn? What are you planning to do next?"

The children saw Theodore and rushed over. Evelyn heard the commotion and struggled to sit up, leaning against the headboard.

"Theodore, you're here..."

Seeing Evelyn's poor condition and looking at the four children around him with complicated feelings, Theodore took the initiative. "Evelyn, Arthur, given the current situation, I suggest letting the children leave the public eye for a while. Otherwise, if this continues, not only will the children not be able to handle it, but you won't either."

He was stating facts. Evelyn's health had already become a problem. Although it was just a cold, it shouldn't be taken lightly.

If the external influence ended up dragging the whole family into the mud, it would be a huge loss.

"Theodore, do you have any good suggestions?"

Evelyn asked softly, thinking it over herself. She'd had the same thought, but in today's world, they were surrounded by media everywhere. Living constantly in the spotlight, it was hard to leave the public eye.

Theodore thought for a moment before answering, "I know of a special forces training camp that works with the military. It can provide a complete psychological and physical training environment."

"Going there would let the children rebuild their sense of security without interrupting their studies. Most importantly, the media can barely get in there, which would best protect the children's safety and privacy."

Theodore used to be in special forces and had worked as a military doctor, so he had connections and resources in this area. Getting them into this training camp wouldn't be a problem.

Arthur frowned slightly, seeming hesitant. "But the children are too young. That kind of training camp is too harsh, with very high intensity. I'm afraid the children won't be able to handle it."

The four children's situations were all different, and taking care of each one's feelings wouldn't be easy.

If something went wrong at the camp, he'd probably regret it for the rest of his life.

"The training will definitely be tough, but I think it's a chance for them to grow, and it can give the children a different life experience."

Theodore answered calmly, then looked at Evelyn sitting against the bed. "Evelyn, what do you think?"

Evelyn pressed her lips tightly together, silently looking at the children.

She had the same concerns as Arthur, but deep down she knew that Theodore's suggestion was indeed the best option right now.

Arthur turned to look at the exhausted Evelyn and finally agreed, "Alright, we'll do as you say. Our whole family will go."

He didn't want to see Evelyn looking so worn out from being caught up in public opinion anymore.

He hoped their whole family could get through this difficult time and continue living happily.

"Good, then I'll contact the person in charge of the camp."

Seeing that neither of them objected anymore, Theodore nodded in agreement.

Arthur also hurriedly arranged company affairs to prevent the Collins Group from falling into chaos when he entered the camp and lost contact with the outside world.

"By the way, for security systems, I hope your security company will continue to be in charge."

Arthur brought it up on his own initiative. He trusted Theodore's abilities. From how Theodore had protected Evelyn's whereabouts from being leaked, he could see Theodore's excellent performance.

"No problem," Theodore also took out the cooperation documents and signed readily, "I'll handle this matter well."

Since it was a business relationship, he certainly wouldn't slack off. Besides, for Evelyn's sake, he wouldn't let anything happen to Arthur and the Collins Group.

The two successfully signed the contract and discussed some details. Seeing it was getting late, Theodore left first.

"Goodbye, Theodore!"

The children waved to Theodore, then turned back to Evelyn's side.

Evelyn had taken the fever medicine and talked for a while, and now she felt sleepy.

Arthur helped her lie down, tucked her in, and said softly, "Evelyn, just get some good sleep."
