Chapter 107: 2: Chapter 38

As we finished up lunch, I headed over to the mages, helping them go through the books we had acquired. Our veil holding for now, but it would end draining me and my stones if the storm didn’t let up within the week. The mages helped by sending power filled stones but this would only hold us over another two weeks, and the amount of snow falling around the veil, our world would be taken out by the avalanche of snow by then. I wen through book upon book, finding nothing. Sitting back in my chair I growled with frustration, there just had to be a way.

“Oh think Anya, think.” I mutter to myself in frustration. Going over my notes once again as I run my hand through my hair in frustration. “Darkness, electric, snow, wind, what could possibly help stop them, without making the other grow? Darkness was light, electric was wind, snow, frozen water, would be earth, and wind would be fire. To counter I would need light, wind, earth, and fire. Having those elements inside me, I could do it but being drained from the veil, I wouldn’t have enough for this large of a storm, unless…” I jumped up, causing my chair to tip backwards and clatter to the floor. Running full sprint to the meeting room where the mages and the kings were all scrambling their brains to figure out a plan. I ran to the Centree and shot up the stairs, I had no time for the elevator. Finally reaching the fifteenth floor I flung the door open, hands on my knees panting as all eyes spun to me.

“I think I have figured it out.” I panted as Shura and Rugan were at my sides fussing over me.

“What is it?” Granny hushed everyone.

“Rugan, you control wind, fire, and shadow correct?” Rugan nodded. “Lazarath you control earth and nature correct?” He nodded. “Ok next question, can you control one element at a time?” Rugan looked to Lazarath, both nodding. “I have light and so does Elre, if I and Elre cast that then Rugan you cast wind, Lazarath earth, then back to Rugan for fire, we would need your help Alastar to form it into a storm. Shura we would need your assistance to keep us going with lending your energy or even pulling the energy stones. But we make a storm of our own, swirling it together, we should be able to neutralize the black hurriblizzard.”

“That would work, we can use your ceremony platform to make a focal point, once the elements are swirled in place Alastar can push it up and create a storm.” Granny’s face brightening as I smiled. Feeling a heavy pull on my energy, I swayed slightly.

“We need to hurry, it’s getting worse.” I hold my head. Rugan scooping me up as we all rush out of the room. Shura scooping up granny causing her to chuckle as we all head down and to the ceremony platform. One of the mages placing a large orb on the center pillar, we hurriedly begin. The ball spinning as we each cast our elements, making a wild looking spiral of chaos. Alastar watched as he began lifting the mass up, and through the veil. Pouring our energy in as we watched the storm swallow up ours, not giving up as the ball we all aimed at, now shot the elements straight up.

I began to waver, Elre pushing himself harder as I began to sway. Shura rushing to my side as I feel his energy flow through me. We pushed until something flickered through the mass of clouds, our storm was growing and neutralizing the black storm as it touched and spread out the black storm was dissapating. Hours of Shura and the mages pushing their energy into us, hours of us pushing out the neutralizing elements, and finally nothing was left of the storm. We eased our elements down, causing the storm we had created to diminish with it. Finally able to release the veil safely, I smiled looking at the beautiful blue sky above us, the sun was starting to set, and the guys and the mages yelled in triumph. I, on the other hand, felt my world tilting and spining. My energy spent on the storm and maintaining the veil had left me nearly on E, my pains of the bars shooting through me as a reminder I was not fully healed, and just like that I fainted hard to the ground. Darkness enveloping me, this time though, was much different. This time I was floating in what seemed to be the sea. Light trickling in from the surface, as I looked around. I listened to the peaceful quiet, fish swimming in schools, dolphins clicking and chirping happily, a whale sang it’s hellos. What in the world was I doing here? A strange figure swam towards me, the outline of a man soon forms as he just casually walks through.

“Hmmm, daughter of Lucian and Lycanista, it seems you are in troubled waters.” He smiled at his own little joke. I chuckle a bit at his pun. “I do not come to you dreams to bring ill will, however, things are stirring in our realms. Rumors of some gods and goddesses helping a certain black archmage. I, for one, aren’t to happy about being plunged in a world of constant peril, power hunger, and chaos. So I am here to offer you my help.” He held out his hand.

“I am sorry, but who are you? I am not trying to be rude but there are so many gods and goddesses I can’t recall them all.” I flinch slightly as I wear a pained expression.

“Oh where are my manners? Manannán is my name, god of the sea, warrior of the Nether.” He bowed his head. As he stood up I bowed my head.

“Well Manannán, it seems we have a budding alliance.” I smiled as his grin grew.

“Others will come to your aid, here, this stone will help contact me. If you need it, rub it and I shall come. For now, it seems you have some mates who are squabbling over the bed getting wet. Until we meet again Anya Dragoness.” He waved his hand as a gush of water hit me, curving up and out of the water into the light. Sitting straight up as I panted from the encounter. Opening my hand to a small stone of glowing blue, swirled with a beautiful green. I was soaked head to toe and seven sets of eyes were on me.

“Goodness child where have you been venturing in your dreams?” Granny chucckled.

“Anya, what happened? You were dry and then all of a sudden you became soaking wet, I mean just look at your hair and clothes. You’ll get sick if we don’t get you changed.” Liz fussing over me as she helped unstrap my shirt, Rugan handing her a towel, Shura grabbing fresh sheets, as Alastar held me. I was still awestruck by the tiny stone I held in my hands.

“Granny, can you make a plaque of sorts, to hold this stones, and when I place it in it, the name appaears?” I said as I rolled the ball between my fingers.

“Yes, I believe one of our mages could. Anya, how did you acquire it?” She questioned a mischevious grin on her face.

“Manannán visited me in my dreams, he spoke of a dark archmage gaining gods and goddesses on her side.” I glanced up from the stone a serious expression worn by me. “He came to offer himself to me.” I smirked as the men stopped muttering and all eyes were set on me again. “I’m kidding, he came to offer his alliance with us.” I smiled as Granny snickered at the mens faces ranging from a pale color to the color of a fresh strawberry. They sighed in unison when I finished what happened.

“So, it seems we have figured out what they’re up to. It also explains why the storm had other elements in it. You said dickhead was of alpha blood no magic correct?” Rugan asks gruffly causing Shura to tense.

“Yeah, however being deceived for over a year, I don’t know what he actually can do. I do know his wolf has completely severed himself from him, so he is no longer a wolf shifter.” I softly speak.

From the looks of sadness I receive someone has informed the others of my past and Vladymir’s actions. Hearing his name no longer brings me sadness, just regrets, and anger of being so delusional I didn’t see any of the red flags. I glanced to the side at the floor, pain etching my face. Cool fingers tip up my chin as Shura’s beautiful blue and white eyes lock onto mine.

“You were in love, love blinds us to many things, however, the love of your children helped open your eyes and helped free you of that dangerous bond.” His voice cool and serious. “Now you are truly loved by five fated mates, ones who would lay down their lives for you, ones who would rather eat a thousand knives than hurt you or our children.” He spoke confidently.

“You have your family no matter where you go, we will follow.” Liz spoke lovingly to me. “He will never feel that joy, never feel loved again, and only see misery and pain.”

“We aren’t going anywhere, unless you order us to. Even then we may throw up a fight because we want to be by your side.” Elre added.

“We will gain more alliances, kingdom, village, god, or goddess. We will conquer that scum and that pond sucker mother of his as well.” Lazarath smiled gently as he spoke encouragingly to me.

“No matter what it takes, Anya, we will be here beside you, defending you, fighting for you.” Rugan nuzzled against my neck.

“Even if it pushes near the brink of death we won’t stop fighting for you. Even your guardians lay down their lives for you, see you as a sister, and wouldn’t change it for the world.” Alastar’s serious tone giving way to a more compassionate one.

“Then, it’s time we do some studying, we have alliances to build and a war to fight.” I smile confidently.

“Yeah, well, after you get some sleep.” Liz scolded with her hands on her hips.

“Yes moooom.” I scoff with a smile on my face, she smirks as she swats my toes playfully.

“Seriously though Anya, you could pack a week’s luggage with those bags under your eyes. You need rest. Let’s not mention the healing from being impaled twice, casting the veil while impaled, being drained constantly for a few days, AND” She was using her mom voice, and had cocked an eyebrow. “you all just conjured a storm by pushing elemental energy into the sky for hours. It is time for you Queen to rest.” She smiled.

“Okay, okay, okay.” I smiled as Rugan laid me in bed, Lucian and Edna crawling in beside me and giving me hugs and kisses before I fell asleep. Pulling the blanket around me as I had so many times for them. Lucian rubbed my forehead as Edna hummed her own little song softly. Levi scrambled around Liz as he crawled in with us for his Eskimo kisses and his hug. Rubbing my hair away from my face. A smile laid gently on my face as the men whispered to the children and the room became silent with a click of the door. Sleep finally sneaking in and taking me away.
