Emily Gordon
I hear the sound of the door slam when he leaves, the weird feeling of emptiness that makes me hug my body and run to the couch. My mind is still sinking... Shit, I'm in the house of a hybrid who saved me from being eaten by a hideous tiger.
I swore never to trust a man again and to hate them all, they are traitors, liars and perverts but strangely I feel safe here, as if I'm sure I can trust. I'm scared, I confess. You shouldn't trust him, you should even suspect his hair, men always hide their true intentions behind good deeds.
He is not a man! He's a male. My mind makes a point of remembering him saying that to me.
Well, that makes things very different and he was so nice to me...
I turn on the TV to mask the noise of the rain a little as he indicated. Remembering the careful way he comforted me and told me to make myself comfortable at his house, made me absolutely sure he wasn't like ordinary men, not at all!
Not to mention that opening my eyes and being faced with the most incredibly beautiful face I've ever seen in my entire existence, there's no explanation. The brown color and the distinctive shape of the cat's eyes had me mesmerized wanting to stare at him forever.
Its different face with prominent and higher cheekbones only makes it more attractive. He is all male, large and impressive in appearance, certainly the most fascinating being my eyes have ever had the pleasure of beholding.
I turn up the volume on the television and decide to take a shower, I run up the stairs to look for the bathroom, I pass by an open door with a large, tidy bed inside, I go through it, opening the cupboards in search of a towel and his shirt. Considering your height and broad shoulders, I'm pretty sure it will be very comfortable and show very little of my body.
A while later, already under the shower, thoughts dominate me. I always hear a lot about Hybrids and how they suffered from being held prisoner and being fined with animal DNA and how it was also extremely difficult for them to fit into society after they were released.
My heart aches for what they've been through and as if it wasn't enough they've suffered all their lives, there are still those damn hate groups that won't leave them alone. Clueless assholes. I hate them.
I get out of the shower, dry off and change. The shirt is really big and that's good because I'm without panties. My only clothes were inside my lost suitcase, I don't even know if I'll have a chance to get it back. Good thing what little money I have is in the bank.
I leave everything in order before going downstairs, I don't want to be accused of being a mess. In the kitchen, I put the dirty clothes in a bag I find on the counter.
An hour later, I took a shower, ate and now I'm lying on the couch wrapped in a blanket with the TV off after the rain has calmed down a bit, I try to sleep but sleep doesn't come, now it must be around three or four in the morning.
I start to get worried about his delay in returning, but at the same second the door opens slowly, I look up and see him enter. My heart automatically races.
- Good that you came back. Is everything OK? I stand up quickly studying him.
He has one hand on his right bicep.
“Get me the first-aid kit from the kitchen under the counter by the sink. I widened my eyes, going to immediately do what he told me.
- Here it is. What happened? Are you okay? Can I help you in any way?
— Don't ask a bunch of questions at once, it's annoying. And it's just a scratch. If you want to help me, take the serum and pour it on the wound. He extends his arm indicating the place and sits on the sofa.
Blood oozes as he removes his hand from the wound.
“It's not just a scratch. Don't you think it's better to see a doctor? What if I need stitches? I question, concern creeping into my voice.
- That's nothing. I don't need no doctor.
He's stubborn too.
- It's all right. Come on. - I nod nervously and pour the serum until I clean all the blood.
- Now pass some alcohol on the cotton and press lightly. — so I do.
— Does it hurt? Is my hand too heavy? — I blow over the cotton.
I look into his beautiful feline eyes but I don't find any trace of pain or discomfort, on the contrary, his lips curve in an amused smile.
- What's it? - I question.
- You are sweet. I feel my cheeks heat up.
- Why do you say that? — I'm curious.
“You're worrying that I, a male and large Hybrid who has a high resistance to pain, are feeling pain from a little scratch.
— Oh...
“Don't feel embarrassed about being like this, it's good. She speaks as if she can read my thoughts.
I feel ridiculously relieved.
I finish doing a basic bandage and put everything back in the bag, what I got dirty he goes to the trash and throws inside.
“Thank you, female.
As sexy as it is for him to call me that, I should introduce myself after tudo.
“My name is Emily, Emily Gordon. So... What happened to her arm?
“I'm Tyger. And that was a glancing shot.
“Perfect for you. — I smile — The name, not the shot.
“The DNA used on me was tiger DNA, like one of those that nearly swallowed you. I shudder remembering the moment of dread.
“Good thing you're not fierce or intimidating like him. I smile in a failed attempt at humor.
"Who says I'm not?" We have a lot in common. - frown.
- Yes sure. But I wasn't scared of you and him yes, if you didn't save me I think I would have died more from fear before it swallowed me.
"He thought it was an enemy." Humans hurt him too. The place we got them makes sure they don't eat human flesh, they puke. So do I Emily, when I come across my enemies I terrify them until they ask for death.
“I like that to be honest, especially if they're the ones who hurt you or those idiots in the hate groups. - I give a slight smile that surprisingly is reciprocated.
- I like your style. Hook was wrong about you, not all humans are bad and some of us must admit that.
“Who is Hook and what did he say about me?
“It's a hybrid with feline DNA like me, only panther to be specific. He said not to trust you, that he would betray me if I gave you shelter because humans are treacherous.
"I wouldn't do that, ever!" — I exclaim indignantly — It's true that some humans are pretty wretched, but not all are.
- I know. I feel it in you.
"Do you have that thing about sensing people's essences?" My eyes sparkle with fascination.
- Yea. I have a lot of the animal I was mixed with, I can smell fear, excitement, blood, sadness and more. However, not all of us have this ability.
- Our! This is so cool! I can't contain the excitement in my voice. "Do you have fangs?" — he nods yes — Can I see them?
"Do you want to see my fangs?" — he looks surprised but I sign frantically — Then come closer.
Tyger is standing in the kitchen, I walk over to him and lift my head to catch a glimpse of his face, his lips move and his teeth show, straight and perfect with sharp canines, I manage not to open my mouth in positive shock. It's amazing to see a person with those teeth, everything about Tyger is amazing.
Weird thoughts pop into my mind about what it would be like to feel those fangs against my skin and it makes something warm inside me.
"What's it like to have teeth that sharp?" Doesn't it get in the way of some things? I ask curiously.
I think about what it would be like to kiss him. Does it hurt? What should a hybrid kiss be like? Mind-blowing I'm sure, if everything about him is impressive.
"What sort of things are you referring to?" Amusement flickers in his eyes.
"Oh, I don't know... Eating a certain type of food or...
“Kiss?” My face feels very hot all of a sudden. Shit. "You want to kiss me, is that why you're asking this?"
“I was just curious what it would be like to kiss someone with sharp teeth. I say, feeling my heart hammering in my chest.
- Somebody? So anyone with sharp teeth would make you want to kiss? His eyes narrow.
- No! It's a curiosity, not a will. I look away to the floor.
— Do you want me to satisfy your curiosity? A smile softens his features making him even more handsome.
God, I really want to kiss him. Yea!
