Chapter 20: Really Mikkel?

Chapter 20: Really Mikkel?
Davyn:

“You didn’t answer my question: “Why were the Gods looking for them”?” Mikkel flopped his hand out in annoyance as Volos snarled lowly, dropping his head down so they were eye-to-eye.

“They were looking for vessels to contain the supernatural creatures they sought to create in their images. That backfired quickly when they realized the Unicorns were that of the “humans” equivalent to the “Four Horsemen”. That’s why the Gods decided to create their creatures in their own ways, but Nuwa was different in this aspect. She created “Tiamat” the “Mother of Dragons,” our mother.” Shehad grumbled lowly, snapping our gazes at Onyx lounging beautifully on Shehad’s scaly back, looking over my shoulder at Birgir and Mikkel’s evil smirks.

“Desmond and Hilo are in the vaults looking for the “Phoenix Archives”.” Onyx laughed softly as Shehad laid down with a heavy thud, purring against her jowl as Onyx rubbed her flexing neck.

“Well Shit! Pull out the lawn chairs and margaritas, we’ll have a small party in our subconscious.” Mikkel clapped his hands together, rolling his eyes in disbelief that Shehad and Onyx joined our little “shin-dig”.

“Mikkel.” Onyx crossed her arms over her exposed chest with a bright flicker of gold laced across her glowing orbs, watching the Cheshire grin creep along Mikkel’s lips as his eyes glowed to life with mischievousness.

“Sorry Angel, but do you really believe that the “Unicorns” are evil like the “Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse”? Don’t get me wrong here, I believe in a lot of supernatural shit, but they’re describing them as “Demons” and “Angels” in so many words.” Mikkel held his hand out in questioning, looking between the four dragons click and grunt in a silent conversation.

Classic Mikkel, questioning the endless possibilities of the unknown when we were walking, talking evidence that the supernatural existed, along with the rest of the extended family.

“Really Mikkel? You of all people, questioning our dragons and the basic knowledge of the supernatural because you don’t want to believe we have our own “Demons” and “Angels”? Which, in support to your claim, is kind of fucked up with their portrayals as beautiful fiery birds and graceful horses with sparkly horns.” Tilting my head with a half-assed sneer as his eyes glowed darkly, watching Birgir roll his eyes mockingly over his shoulder.

“Actually, yes. If what they’re saying is true, then what does that make Byron and Lea because they are the King and Queen of the Under Realm.” Mikkel lolled his head to the side as Volos grunted lowly, fanning his hot breath along our naked flesh as Druk and Ejder huffed green flames from their mouths.

“You’re a bigger pain in the ASS then we thought.” Shehad laughed darkly as Onyx slid down from her back, watching as her feet stepped gently against the silky blackness.

“Byron and Lea are exactly what their titles describe, “King and Queen of the Under Realm”. They collect the souls of the supernatural and direct them to their next location. Why is it that Lea turned out to be a Demi-God mated to the Shadow King, because a Demi-God balances the natural power between “Good” and “Evil”.” Onyx stood firmly, placing her hand on Mikkel’s chest as our bodies erupted in a strange pulsing, inhaling sharply as her golden eyes danced wildly with an internal inferno.

“Why NOW are you questioning the supernatural? Something else is going on.” Onyx narrowed her blazing eyes on us as our dragons leaned in like “Gooseneckers”, trying to see what was going to happen.

“Don’t look at me Gorgeous, I’m on board with everything.” Holding my hands up in surrender as Birgir nodded “yes”, looking over at Mikkel’s stone expression as her eyes slid back to his intense gaze.

“Angel, if what they’re saying is true, you’re in more danger then before and I can’t bear to lose you and these.” Mikkel placed his hands firmly on her stomach as tears slowly slipped down his cheeks, catching us by surprise as Onyx scooped him into her arms.

“Mikkel Silverfang, are you doubting our bond? You act like I’m going into battle blind, when I’ll have you three plus our dragons and the other realms, fighting to bring this all to an end. Our bonds go deeper than they realize.” Onyx pulled back with a bright smile as Mikkel placed a gentle kiss to her forehead, leaning into her neck with a heavy shiver as his eyes swirled brightly.

“So, what are we planning?” Birgir leaned in, placing a kiss to her cheek as she pulled back from Mikkel’s arms.

“Well, if you didn’t notice the strange black veins creeping along Mara’s limbs, then you need to know the dragon fetus in killing her from the inside-out. Shehad pointed that out when she decided to crash our party. Also, that female cyborg might come in handy when we invade “Mirror Castle” with a warm welcome.” Her eyes glowed brightly with Shehad’s as her arms snaked around her girthy neck, smiling up to the toothy grin that looked down at her curvaceous body.

Now’s not the time to think dirty thoughts.

“Back to these “Unicorns” and the “Phoenix’s”, what does this have to do with our current situation? Mara took our Foxes for a reason.” Looking over my shoulder with a questioning brow, smiling at Shehad as she slithered her broad horned head down into my palms, feeling her surprisingly smooth scales as they rolled and flexed along my palms.

“Kitsune’s were always unique creatures with their abilities to use the spiritual energy around them. Tricksters in fooling their enemies, but one important fact always haunted their lineage.” Druk rolled to his side, shaking out his girthy body with a purring grunt.

“Which is?” Mikkel hummed the words as he ran his hands over Shehad’s purring belly scales that glistened softly under the soft glow of our subconscious.

“It’s a form of spiritual explosion that results from an overload caused by stress. Most common thinking is death of their mate, or something closely related to their bond breaking. It’s not like we came with an instruction manual to the “do’s” and “don’ts”, we just knew subconsciously that our abilities were tied to something greater than our physical forms.” Ejder grumbled lowly as he flopped over to his side, purring darkly as Birgir ran his hands along Shehad’s golden horns.

Onyx laid casually along Shehad’s stretched back with her arms tucked under her head, humming softly with Shehad’s purrs of contempt as our hands roamed along her scaly girth.

“Is it me, or are they all acting… strange?” Looking over my shoulder at our dragons lying peacefully on their sides as our hands glided and caressed Shehad’s magnificent body.

“Just keep rubbing.” Shehad grumbled lowly as Birgir stroked along her jowls, receiving a clicking purr as her golden eyes drifted closed under his palms.

“With as much shit as we have gone through, especially Jun and Dirk, becoming stressed to that kind of “spiritual explosion” would take a lot. Don’t you agree?” Onyx spoke softly as her swirling golden starburst eye opened enough to freeze time.

“Baby don’t look at us like that. It’s dangerous.” Birgir laughed softly, licking our lips in sync as she rolled over to her stomach, exposing her jiggly ass and bareback to the soft glowing atmosphere.

“Well, what would happen if I did this?” She smiled darkly as Shehad grumbled in laughter, pulling her head back with a sooty exhale in Birgir’s face as they misted away against the black backdrop of silky darkness.

Staring at my empty hands as our dragons grunted in laughter, sitting back-up with heavy thuds of their spiked tails.

“Oh, COME ON!” Mikkel shouted with a pouty face as Onyx and Shehad’s laughter echoed through the darkness.

“Cockblocked by our own mate.” Druk roared in laughter as we stood dumbfounded staring at them enjoying our torture.

“Joking aside, what would happen if this “spiritual explosion” occurred?” Running my hot palms through my short locks, feeling my body aching for our mate’s touch but nervous about our situation with Mara and these “Unicorns” and “Phoenix’s”.

“Not a lot is known but last time this happened, it wiped out the conflicting emotions of the “humans” and vessels, resulting in a “reset”. Mass panic followed because all memories were wiped clean. Vessels freaked out when their beasts spoke to them and “humans” revolted against us, because the vessels began shifting uncontrollably. It was a disaster until the Royals stepped in, creating the First Supernatural Realm.” Volos clicked in amusement as Mikkel waved his hand wordlessly.

“Exactly how old are you?” Birgir perked an amused brow as Ejder nudged his snout into his side with a sooty exhale.

“Eh! We stopped counting a long ass time ago, but to give you an idea; we witnessed the erection of Stonehedge or at that time, Waun Mawn. So, give or take eight thousand years.” Druk rolled his scaly lip over his razor-sharp teeth like a scary lizard version of Elvis.

A pin dropped from the other side of the World.
