Chapter 1030: I Have Been Married for a Long Time

The two chatted and laughed for a while, and then Ralph suddenly seemed to remember something. He quickly said, "Hey Mary, are you and Felicity the same age?"

"Yeah," Mary nodded. Their birthdays were only two months apart.

Ralph grinned, "Well, let me tell you something, just perfect—"

He was about to continue when there were two knocks on the door.

It was Timothy, coming in with two nurses for rounds.

As usual, he flipped through the patient records, barely acknowledging Mary, not even glancing her way.

Mary, on the other hand, felt uneasy, fidgeting on the sofa, not daring to look at Timothy.

Felicity watched the two of them and couldn't help but find it amusing.

She asked, "Dr. Reed, how's my dad doing? Can he be discharged soon?"

Timothy asked without any expression, "Has his blood pressure and blood sugar been normal these past two days?"

"Normal," the nurse nodded.

"Dizzy? Is the wound still painful?"

Ralph thought for a moment, "Occasionally a bit dizzy, but nothing serious. The wound's basically not painful anymore."

Timothy nodded, "Keep his blood pressure and blood sugar stable. Come back for a check-up in three days. If everything's fine, he can be discharged in two days."

"Great," Felicity said happily, "Thanks, Dr. Reed!"

Timothy's medical skills were truly impressive, she had to admit.

She glanced at Mary, who looked like she wanted to disappear into the floor. If it weren't for the fact that they didn't want to go public, she would have bragged to Ralph already.

Not to mention, the nurses would have to give them some respect. Imagine Mary being surrounded every day—just thinking about it was hilarious.

Felicity, free from pressure, let her curiosity and gossip take over.

Timothy, unaware of her thoughts, continued discussing the patient's condition and follow-up care with the nurses and caregivers.

Ralph remembered what he was saying before being interrupted, "Mary, my nephew, Felicity's cousin, is quite a catch—talented and handsome. How about I set you two up?"

What?

Mary was stunned, not expecting Ralph to say that.

She didn't know how to refuse without revealing her marriage.

"Dr. Reed? Why aren't you saying anything?"

A nurse suddenly spoke up, snapping Mary out of her daze.

Felicity quickly turned to see Timothy standing silently, looking quite awkward.

What was this situation?

Introducing a date to Mary in front of her husband.

Anyone else would have started a fight.

"Dad, why did you bring this up?"

Felicity quickly interrupted.

"What's wrong with that? Can't I say it? Mary is such a good girl; she'd make a great wife for your cousin."

Great wife? Trying to steal someone's wife right in front of them.

Just now, he was talking about arranging a meeting, and now he's directly saying she'd make a great wife.

They say women gossip as they age, but men can be unbeatable in gossip, too.

Mary felt extremely uncomfortable, forcing a dry smile, "Mr. Miller, thanks for the offer, but I'm really busy with work and not considering this right now."

"Alright then," Ralph said, feeling a bit let down.

But he glanced at Timothy and couldn't help but comment, "Actually, Dr. Reed is even more impressive than my nephew."

Timothy raised an eyebrow. "Mr. Miller is recovering well."

If he had the energy to play matchmaker, he must be feeling fine.

"Thanks to Dr. Reed's excellent skills."

Ralph didn't catch Timothy's underlying meaning and asked, "Dr. Reed, you're so young and accomplished. Are you single? How about my daughter?"

"Dad, what are you saying?"

Felicity, who had just sat down, jumped up as if her seat was on fire.

Mary was speechless.

"No way, no way, no way," Felicity shook her head, feeling frustrated. Ralph was crazy today, introducing dates to a married couple.

Timothy calmly said, "I've been married for a long time."

Everyone was shocked.

Mary quickly looked around, seeing that the nurses had just left, but her heart was still racing.

What was going on? They were almost divorced, and Timothy wanted to go public?

Timothy noticed Mary's expression and frowned. Did she really not want to reveal their relationship?

Ralph didn't notice their reactions, feeling regretful, "Looks like I can't introduce any dates today."

"Dad, it's a good thing you didn't open a matchmaking agency, or the world would be full of chaotic marriages."

Felicity joked.

Timothy put away his pen, ready to leave. As he reached the door, he turned without looking at Mary, "Mr. Miller should rest well and avoid talking too much. Unrelated people shouldn't stay here long."

Mary was stunned, staring at the closed door, unable to react.

What was this? He was definitely taking it out on her, right?

Telling Ralph not to talk much was one thing, but asking her to leave?

She had been here for days, and now she was considered an unrelated person? He was too much!

The next morning, Mary picked up the jewelry she had ordered from the production department and personally delivered it to Catherine at the hospital.

Hospital, surgical outpatient room.

Catherine looked at the exquisite jewelry box in front of her, filled with a set of jewelry that matched the design perfectly. The materials were top-notch, and the craftsmanship was meticulous.

She smiled and took out her phone to transfer money to Mary, "Mary, this jewelry set you designed is perfect. I love it."

Mary quickly grabbed her hand, "No need, I promised to make these for you. Just cover the cost, no extra money."

With that, Mary packed up and headed out, "I have things to do, Dr. Levin."

"You!"

Catherine didn't have time to say anything before Mary disappeared through the door.

She frowned slightly but didn't say anything more, staring at the jewelry box for a while before suddenly remembering something. She picked up her phone and called Timothy.

"Timothy, are you busy right now?"

The phone rang once before being answered. Catherine smiled warmly at Timothy.

Timothy put down his book, "What's up?"

"The birthday gift I asked Mary to make is ready. She just delivered it. Can you come take a look? She said it can be modified if needed."
