Chapter 218: Part 114 a

Since earlier, Olive's smile doesn't want to go anywhere. Her mother's wedding is held solemnly and very intimate. The guests attending aren't too many either. Most of them seem familiar with her mother and her stepfather. The joyful glow on their faces creates a whole different energy around them.

She never thought there would be a day when she would see her mother's beauty multiply several times. She also sees the man who never strays far from her mother giving glances. Maybe Olive has long been convinced that he is the right man whom God gave to be in her mother's life.

Unfortunately... she doesn't know why her mother took so long to decide for them to be together.

"Daydreaming, Bee?" Thomas asks, handing her a bottle of mineral water. "Don't forget to drink." He also immediately opens his bottle where Olive smiles widely to welcome her drink. The almost empty bottle signals that his wife is indeed thirsty.

"Tired?" Thomas asks softly while handing her a tissue from his pocket. This makes Olive blink slowly.

"I remember this tissue, oh my." She bursts into laughter. Instead of using it to wipe her wet lips or her sweaty forehead, this tissue that has changed hands is observed with a close gaze. But her laughter doesn't want to stop, which makes Thomas look at Olive in surprise.

"Remember what?"

"How could Mr. Thomas forget?" Olive gives an incredulous look. "Exercise, Mr. Thomas. You were so insistent on exercising with me even though I didn't want to, you know. Even met Mr. Matthew. And said Mr. Thomas was trying to get close to me. Did you forget, Mr. Thomas?"

Well... actually Thomas never forgets that. When did he forget their moments together? Since the beginning, especially Olive's salty coffee. How could he push that out of his mind, right?

"So mean to forget about the approach back then," Olive says sarcastically. "No need for a tissue! I can get a tissue myself!" Olive hands back Thomas's tissue. "Annoying!"

Thomas chuckles. Since morning, Olive has been difficult to approach. Not because there's a problem, but because the atmosphere sometimes separates them. Olive accompanies her mother faithfully until all the ceremonies are over. Initially, Thomas was a bit worried, but it seems Olive knows how to behave. Thomas's peripheral vision can also notice very well how Olive has been since his wife started accepting her pregnancy.

Indeed, what Olive says, she was just too surprised by this pregnancy. Even though if you think about it, the existence of the baby should have been predicted, right? Besides being without protection, they wrestled to enjoy the world's paradise rarely using the word "restraint". Always together until the end, right?

After that, Olive is so careful. She no longer stays up too late either. Since she likes milk so much, the change to pregnant women's special milk isn't a problem. Moving around is also no longer as fidgety, and she's watching her food intake. Although... sometimes her words are much more annoying than before.

"And you're laughing?!" Olive's eyes ball perfectly. "My husband is truly mean, huh. Doesn't he know what happens when his wife is upset?"

"I do," Thomas immediately embraces Olive. He kisses the side of his wife's head briefly while whispering, "I never forget anything about you."

Olive still maintains her sarcasm. Her hands are also folded on her chest. But when her eyes look towards the altar where her mother looks beaming welcoming her guests, the annoyance that was in Olive's heart disappears instantly. "Mr. Thomas, Mommy looks so beautiful, doesn't she?"

Wearing a white dress that showcases how beautifully God created the lines of her shoulder blades and her graceful neck. Its cut is much simpler than any gown or dress Seira has ever worn, but perhaps because the designer is so skillful with scissors and adjusts it to Seira's body shape, it looks elegant and classy. Moreover, the way the dress drapes also perfectly outlines Seira's well-maintained figure and weight. Her hairstyle is just simple. Her mother never liked excessive appearances, but know this, everything that is put on her body today radiates Seira's graceful aura.

"No wonder my wife looks so beautiful. Her mother is just as beautiful." Thomas gently pinches Olive's chin. His eyes can't be diverted from Olive's happily sparkling eyes. Thomas knows this happiness isn't just Seira's. Olive also feels the same happiness.

"Uncle Ro won't be mean to Mommy, right, Honey?" Olive asks, still smiling, but her tone carries a hint of worry. Olive has asked Thomas this many times, and Thomas always says the same thing.

"Can you see Uncle Ro's eyes over there?" Thomas points with his chin. Where Olive follows the direction pointed. Robert gazes at Seira intently. Occasionally, he hugs Seira's waist so she doesn't stray too far. Sometimes it catches Olive's eye, but isn't that normal? Just like how she doesn't want to be far from Thomas?

"Full of love, right?"

Olive's smile widens. "Yes." Then she turns to look at Thomas, who her husband is now looking at again. "Just like Mr. Thomas, right? His love for me is huge."

"That's right." Thomas gently lowers Olive's chin again. "No need to worry too much about Mommy and Uncle Ro. I'm sure, Uncle Ro is the right match. Just like your long-time questions, right? Why weren't they together earlier? You have your own conviction in your heart about the two of them, don't you?"

"Yes, Mr. Thomas." Olive chooses to lean comfortably on Thomas's shoulder. Since the place she chose protrudes into one corner of the shaded area, far from the other crowds, it also seems comfortable to talk together like this, Olive doesn't hesitate to be affectionate with Thomas.

But, Olive sometimes doesn't like seeing places to share affection. Although there were many events to attend earlier, she still had time to ask for her head to be rubbed, kiss Thomas's cheek carelessly, or just ask for a brief hug. Rather than Olive's mood plummeting, Thomas just follows along. After all, there's nothing wrong with all of Olive's indulgence today.

"I've noticed you've been all over the place since earlier. Now just rest. Sit here and keep me company."

"Sure thing, Bae." Olive rubs her nose near the corner of Thomas's neck. "But I want salad over there. Is that okay?"

Thomas laughs. "Did you eat rice yet?"

"We ate together earlier, Sweetie. Forget already? We had beef teriyaki, right?"

Thomas still hasn't stopped laughing. "Yeah. Afraid you want to eat rice again."

"I want salad." Olive stands up. "Come on, accompany me."

Before her steps could even move, Riana and Yossie approach. "You gotta try this," says Riana, offering some pieces of dim sum. "It's so good. I've tried it and deliberately picked the shrimp parts. You like shrimp, right?"

Olive's eyes sparkle even brighter! "You're the best, pal."

Darius scoffs. "I'm the one waiting, you know!" He pulls out a chair. "Sit," he orders Riana, making Olive grin meaningfully. There's food in front of her, so she postpones teasing her two friends for now. Besides, there's something else she'd rather do.

"Try it, Honey. Is it good?" She offers it to Thomas. She cuts a small piece and carefully brings it close to her husband. Smeared with sauce, which adds to the deliciousness, especially when it's still warm. Thomas can't refuse what Olive wants. So he just opens his mouth. "Good?" Olive makes sure again.

"Delicious." Thomas replies with a nod, as Riana adds teasingly.

"Don't believe it when he says it's delicious."

"Not that I don't believe you," Olive laughs. Then she takes a big bite of the remaining dim sum. "I need my hubby's authentic taste buds, you know. The two of you have weird tastes when it comes to deliciousness."

"Hmph!" Riana feels like she wants to smack Olive's head, but she doesn't dare. Even though Olive's husband seems laid back, looking at him makes her feel flustered. Instead of getting involved in trouble, she chooses to spar with words. "You only have two tastes, Olive."

Olive pouts.

"True." Darius gives two thumbs up. Which leaves Thomas puzzled.

"What do you mean?" Thomas is curious too.

"Delicious or super delicious, Sir," Darius quickly responds. "Olive's taste buds don't know the word 'not delicious'. Everything is delicious to her. That's why inviting Olive to eat is the most fun. Not much comment. Before you know it, her plate is empty."

Thomas chuckles. What Darius said is true, isn't it? It's rare to hear Olive comment on the taste of food that's already been ordered. Instead, she says it's a shame if it's not finished. A waste. It's a sin to waste food, she says. Better to go into her stomach.

The problem is, no matter how much Olive eats, her body doesn't widen sideways. She remains slim and unchanged. When Thomas first met Olive, his wife rarely exercised. Thomas is confused, huh.

"Shut up!" Olive glares, not pleased. "Instead of worrying about my appetite, you better tell me what you've tried at the food booths over there. What's good?"
