Chapter 99 her time is up
I held my breath as I watched Idris continue to race in the necromancer's direction, mindingless about the weapon the wicked necromancer had. When the dagger was in reach, Idris flung out his hand and slapped the danger away from her. Vandeer's face curled into a disgusting snarl but quickly Idris wrapped up his hands around her throat.
One of her hands went to his wrists as he strangled her. Just as I watched, I realized late that her free hand was making unfamiliar signs. With a flick of her wrist, the smoke dagger that was flying away jerked to a halt and rerouted in the air until it was flying back in their direction.
"No", The scream left my lips too late.
The dagger rocketed through the air with a sickening thud and lodged itself in Idris's back.
Idris's body went still. His hands loosened from around Vandeer's throat and in that moment, a wide grin spread across her lips, peeling her lips back to reveal her grotesque teeth. I watched as Idris stumbled back from her with the black dagger still lodged firmly in his back.
He fell to his knees and I felt my heart shatter apart in my chest. The knot in my chest tightened up and despite the threat, I was burning with rage to go to him. I had to go to him. My scream got the attention of the purple eyed witch and the Vampires. They briefly turned from their battles to look in my direction before realizing what I was looking at.
At the same time, they turned to see Idris falling on the ground.
"Ha-ha, who knew that I would finally have you on your knees", I heard the necromancer's words and that was when my heart left my body and a blinding light erupted from me.
I couldn't see it or hear anything as this light encased my being and escalated into the surrounding area. This wasn't a storm.... This was something else. It was magic I wasn't familiar with. It left me and took over me. It was controlling me like I was now the puppet on the string.
However this power and I had the same thing in mind. Kill, destroy, Revenge, blood , cold
Light streamed from my mouth and eyes into the sky above, blasting through the dark clouds above us. It seeped through my fingers and palms and as my body began lifting up in the air, the light emanated from my feet as well. It was everywhere and everything.
As the light blasted from my core and into the sky, the dark sky blasted away and the sky brightened as though the sun was shining from directly above the island. The waves of the ocean at my back, created a wall of water taller than a skyscraper. The rush of wind, crashing waves and blinding light caught the attention of every living pair of eyes.
Many witches, vampires and Werewolves all had their eyes wide open but the necromancer had a sickening smile on her face as she watched my glowing body flying into the air, rising with the height of a surging sea water. Light stopped shooting from my eyes and it left me with white glowing orbs that covered over the hazel irises.
The being I had become was now flying in Vandeer's direction through the air. She crouched low to the ground to prepare for whatever attack was coming her way. My body halted midair and I opened my mouth, letting out a drumming scream that didn't sound like anything human vocal cords should have been able to make.
That burning light poured past my lips and the ground shook as it cascaded over the army of the dead. The bodies began falling in waves where they burst into ashes. Sickly groans and yells left the corpses as one by one burst into nothing under the force of the searing light.
The necromancer's smile twisted into a grimace of rage and shock. She stood from her crouch and I was aware of her shoulders shaking with fury. But it didn't matter. The necromancer took a step over where Idris lay collapsed on the ground. She smiled evilly in my direction and I knew what she was planning to do.
Quickly I opened my mouth to scream again but as white light escaped my lips, she formed a black wall of smoke that cocooned her.
"You will die for what you have done! I have spent years and years waiting for this day!", Several harmonic voices left my lips before I could stop them. The voice was loud enough to burst eardrums and Vandeer dropped her dark magic, totally shocked. I didn't know what had taken control of me but perhaps the necromancer knew it.
"You know I worked so hard to be on his side but look at him now, he is dead because of you. You refused to fulfill my wish and yes I have been waiting for this moment for years too. Am gonna kill you this time", Wisps of darkness crept up from the earth at her feet and shot out like vines trying to grab me in the air.
"Your time is up necromancer. We have let you live long enough and now your magic will not be enough to extend your life. Today you gonna fall and your body will decompose in the earth as it should have been centuries ago. You will join the devils in the nine hells and lament for whatever treachery you have wreaked on our earth", Those voices left my lips and I knew it that they were not my words.
When the necromancer tried to send her dark tendrils to grab me, they burned up and disappeared away. She couldn't win this time. The pantheon of the gods was working through me. This power flowing my body wasn't mine and now I knew why. They were using me as a vessel against the necromancer.
She had lived for centuries using the dead to do her bidding and stealing from others to retain her own youth but now her time was up.
