Chapter 143 Together
"Am Raelynn, nice to meet you", l retorted while rubbing my sweat hand on my dress.
"Raelynn, that's a nice name but l don't smell any seed on you, when are you going to give birth to our heir", He shockingly swung his arm on to my shoulders until when his entire weight was thrown unto me. "Can you please remove your hand from me", l snarled out finding it unbearable. "I like being this close to you, Raelynn I feel like I have known for all my life", He replied warm breath fluttering the hairs on the back of my head.
This is what I meant with these werewolves, they were all arrogant and act as if they possessive everything in this world. I stepped forward but he pulled me back , this time closer than before. "This isn't a crime, come on Idris is gonna do nothing to you", He chuckled while gripping me tightly.
"You my brother's...", He instantly trailed off when a woman made her way to us. The stiffling atmosphere instantly changed with this woman's appearence. She was the same woman who was in the photos, the mother of Brian, Idris and Zara.
. "Mother", Brian instantly pulled away from me and smiled mischievously at her. "Brian this isn't the time for this", She swept a sharp warning glance at him before she turned her attention to me.
"Pardon my rudeness last time, lam Marlene , Brian, Idris and Zara are my children", She reached out and hugged me in her warm bear hug that l tried so hard to return. "It's nice to meet you too , am Raelynn",l replied when she finally released me from her arms. "Yes sweetie, l would like to have a conversation with you but right now , let me take Brian to help me with some work", She smiled but it vanished from her face as she dragged Brian away.
With them gone, l shook my head, sipped my wine then continued to watch the different people. They were all werewolves enjoying their lives. I just wanted to be lonely, the odd man out. "He used to be our Alpha", l couldn't help the shivers that wracked my body when I heard someone say that behind me. It was no one else but Zara.
"Why are you telling me that?", I turned my cold look at her. "Don't be cold, am your friend, you know that", She spoke before refilling my glass with wine. "Okay what happened?",l asked sweetly, trying to be her friend. "He lost his position a long time ago", She replied. At the thought of him being an Alpha, made my skin crawl, just imagine if I was forced to be his mate. I really didn't like him.
"This all happened because of his true mate", She was so talkative but at the mention of his true mate, l was down to the story. "Was his mate someone in this pack?", I asked as if I knew much about werewolves. "No his true mate was a rogue , her name was Lillian", She said with the slight emphasis on the word rogue.
She didn't sound like she liked this Lillian a lot. "Our pack was a lot bigger than it is right now but Lillian worked with hunters and killed almost half of the pack in the trap", She spoke. " The sad is Brian who was our Alpha at that time was nowhere to be seen during the fight. The only person who helped us was Idris",
"Idris caught Lilian but Brian chose his rogue mate over the pack, over his family and over me", At that l was shocked. Who knew it that a bastard like him would leave everything for his true mate. "So where is Lillian , what happened to her after", l was so curious. "Idris forgave her at first but killed her on spot when she leaked out information to the hunters again", Zara wasn't sad when she said that.
"Idris and Brian were close friends before but as soon as he killed Lillian they went into lethal blood rage , am on Idris's side that bitch was serpent", She answered. Now I did understand everything, this whole attitude Brian had towards me was all because of the whole incident with Idris. I just had a bad feeling now , l knew it in my heart that he might try to sabotage again.
"They once had a fight and Idris lost his arm", My mouth instantly fall open at that. "Love an arm! Huh but now he has two hands.. how is that earthly possible", l asked in disbelief. "Strong Alphas are capable of regrowing limbs or other body parts in decades",She explained and that sounded pretty magical ,just like a rainbow and unicorns.
"I wish I had that ability",l murmured more to myself as l recalled the way Idris's hand turned back after stabbing him. "You the ability like that Raelynn too, your womb is capable of healing and regrowing almost ten times faster than that of humans or shewolves , you the only one chosen",My moods ruined up when I heard her say that.
I didn't care whether l had the ability or not. I wasn't ready to give birth to beasts.
"Can a gun made by you be able to kill a human?", I changed the topic. "Huh! Let's save that topic for tomorrow, let's have fun tonight",. Her words made a frown to appear on my face. "Where is Dr Tracy?", I asked after gulping down the glass of wine. "Do you mean the obstetrician?, She is blonde haired and tiny", She explained and a smile formed on my face.
"Where is she?", I asked eagerly. "Dr Tracy is in the pack's hospital, she deals with the pregnant shewolves", Her response made me to feel over the clouds. Idris was right, Dr Tracy was still alive.
"Raelynn let's go have dinner", She disrupted the train of my thoughts.
