Chapter 104 get them out
RAELYNN'S POV.
The sound of another man running down the hall distracted me and I turned while time slowed down.
The man jumped in my direction morphing into a wolf in the air and landing on four paws just feet away from me. It's glowing eyes took in the fallen body at my feet and beast growled in my direction. These were the werewolves that choose darkness and I was going to teach them a lesson.
My body fell into a crouch until when l was eye level with the wolf. I opened my mouth and white smoke came out of it. The air in the hallway grew impossibly colder and in seconds before the wolf lunged at me, l released a burst of power and spikes of ice burst from the walls and speared into the beast before me.
Blood poured from the wounds and pooled onto the floor. The coppery scent of him only fueled me further. Killing this dark werewolves was fun. The ice holding the wolf's corpse dissipated into mist and another body slumped to the floor.
A moment passed and when I thought there were no more wolves coming, l stood straight and moved towards the exist's direction. The corridor led upwards and l could feel though the ice in the earth that l was nearing the surface. After a couple of more twists and turns of looking around in the cage, l finally sighed in defeat.
Zara was no where to be the seen. I looked in every cell and she wasn't there. I now had to leave.
I came upon another metal door that was the same with the ones in the hallway l had originated from. My hand shot out and a wave of ice blasted from palm into the door. It went flying away with a clang. As soon as it did, sunlight immediately burst into the hallway. The scent of fresh air and the nearby ocean washed over me and l stepped into the light.
Immediately the sounds of more wolves met me as they heard the door blasting away. Brian had a gang of dark werewolves and they all existed their underground dungeon. Men shouted and wolves growled before the beasts on the compound rushing in my direction. Some stopped in there tracks as they got a good look of me. They were all shocked just like me. I didn't know what to do but my body was freezing more.
I was both scared and excited to see what I was turning into. That didn't stop the wolves though, they slowly began to lung towards me. I didn't care about them, l just walked away from them. The cold from the dungeon kept following me into the warm sunlight. I sighed when the cool air kissed my skin and whipped my hair into a frenzy.
I rolled my head around my shoulders and stretched. When my arms reached into the sky , l felt myself lifting them with the magic fully enveloping me.
It felt like pure ecstasy as the cold spread from my frozen hands over up my arms before spreading over the rest of my body. I looked down to see an armor like layer of ice spreading across my entire body together with my swollen belly. It was damn unbelievable and l stared in awe as coldness covered my outfit.
Despite the hard and cold ice, l felt like l was moving with the fluidity of the water. All the wolves briefly stopped in place as my body became encased in the ice armor.
However a howl from somewhere else on the compound, echoed through the air and it sent the beasts in a frenzy. It was a command from Brian.
The magic pulsed strongly and ice kept forming, nails also elongated more. Time slowed to a near halt in my eyes as a buffet of blood came right for me.
IDRIS'S POV.
The explosion rocked the building as the guards rushed out to the detainment center. "Are we being rescued?", I heard someone say, Dust and pieces of the cement above the cells crumbled onto the floor around us. Turning into the floor above me. I heard the guards shouting as they ran around.
"That beast deceived us, he has the bitch",
"Why did he betray us?".
"We need that bitch for experiments"
"I don't care about those other useless supernatural creatures, go look for her and kill that son of a bitch"
Down in our cells, we heard everything that was happening on the floor above us and l knew it well. They were talking about my Raelynn. All the last days, they tortured me , beat me but I had no answers to their questions.
"They are looking for your mate", l turned my eyes to the cell in the left side. It was Alpha Jackson. After killing the little vampire, the scientists put him in that cell. As old as he was, he was unfortunately reduced to number 127.
"They are looking for her", l responded to him.
"Now it's time to break the chains", l added.
"And how exactly are you planning to do that?",
I gave him a smirk in response then l pushed my muscles and veins out. I felt the familiar pain run through my body as the bones grew larger but l didn't stop. This was the only time l had to go and save my mate. I growled loudly when l felt the metal resist against me. Finishing the shift in a full wolf, l pulled my arms forward.
There was a small tug before the metal ripped from the cement wall. Bringing my wrists forward, l wrapped my claws around the clasp and snapped it into two. Snapping the leg shackles too , l moved to the door of the cell.
The silver burned me as I pushed against the bars but l focused my thoughts on my mate - my pregnant mate. I pushed the bars again and again without giving up. I was slowly weakening and l growled in pain whenever it burned me. I didn't stop until when the hinges broke off and the door clattered on the ground with a deafening bang.
"Damn", Jackson murmured while staring at me.
Relaxing my body , l began the process of shifting back. I felt my bones and muscles contract as l moved towards the hall.
"Hey l thought you getting us all out", Jackson called down the hall. "I am", l growled as l moved towards the door.
"Are you going to get us out too?", I turned my head to the male vampire then nodded my head. I was weak because of the wolfsbane but l had to do it.
Crushing the door knob in my hand, l threw open the door. I noticed the control room for the cell was empty. I made my way over the set of computers then quickly pulled up the command screen. l scrolled down to the cell lock controls for a moment. After hitting a few buttons, l heard a light chime as a pop up entered the screen.
