Chapter 15: White blood pack

Alpha Marcus was addressing his soldiers to use his wedding as an opportunity to attack Alpha Nathan's pack. And they all held to his orders. Elena came in there wearing a fierce look.

"Your Majesty, I would like to see you privately" she said, with a little hoarseness in her voice. He ordered the soldier leader to take over and took his Luna into a private chamber.

"Luna Elena, why the urgency? You could have waited for me in the throne room" he said, trying not to raise his voice at her.

"It demands urgency; that's why I needed to see you. Is it true that you are trying to attack Alpha Nathan pack tomorrow while the wedding is going on?" She asked, trying to figure out if what her maid told her was the truth about his intention to attack the pack while the wedding was on.

"Haven't I warned you not to put your mouth in my business? he thundered angrily.

"This is our business, not only yours. I am the Luna of this pack, and the safety of our subject is my priority. Why can't you see that this is going to resort to war, which will cause a great disaster that we might not be able to resolve? I am not going to allow you to do that because you are my husband, and I will not follow that path with you" she shouted back at him, looking straight into his eyes.

"I never knew you'd grown wings so much that you'd dare challenge me. But let's see how you keep people safe tomorrow" he threatened, and she burst into a rancorous laughter.

"I should be scared, right? Aren't you surprised I am not scared? Let's see how it goes, because I am going to be there tomorrow with your beta and some of the elders from your cabinet to attend his wedding in respect of this pack. And if your soldiers tried to attack, I would give myself to them as a slave to redeem your sin. So better stop whatever you have in mind and look forward to saving your beautiful and stubborn Luna" she said, and she walked out on him. He was speechless to hear that from her. How could his beta and Luna with the elders plan to attend his enemy's wedding without his concept? Maybe they no longer respected him as the Alpha of this pack to have taken such a decision without him knowing about it. He hurried out of the chamber and headed to the throne room. He ordered his guards to summon Luna, Beta, and the elders of his cabinet with quick urgency.

Soon all the elders and his Beta and Luna were sitting in the throne room. They're all wondering what makes his majesty feel such urgency, except Luna, who knows all the details, and she's ready to face her stubborn Alpha, who had decided to choose the wrong path all because of his greed for power. He's seeking this power, and he's already crossed all the limits. He stood up angrily, his face brimming with anger..

"On whose order have you people decided to go to the wedding of the royal wolf pack Alpha"he asked, his voice filled with venom, sending shivers down their spines except for Luna and Beta, who looked at each other, trying to reassure each other that they got this. One of the elders rose to his feet.

"Your majesty, I was against this idea, but it's so unfortunate that they've made up their mind due to the support of her majesty. "He bowed his head slightly.

"And why do you all fail to inform me?" He asked huskily:

"We are sorry, your majesty, but her Majesty told us not to; she said she's going to inform you herself. And our going there was to honor this pack" another of the elders said.

"Is this the truth, Luna Elena?" He asked, facing her.

"Your Majesty, she was just trying to do the right thing as the luna of this pack, and I am not against the idea because you will never agree if we've told you In the first place," Beta Bryan finally spoke up.

"And who said I can't stop you all from going now? I am the Alpha of this pack, and no one dares question my orders; otherwise, you will all have to face the result." He Thundered with an intimidating order.

Luna Elena stood up, facing him.

"I am sorry, my Alpha; we've already sent them our message that we are going to be present at the wedding. And you know that that means there's no going back, your majesty. We have to attend the marriage at any cost, and moreover, the Royal wolf pack holds no grudges against us. So, my Alpha, I will like to tell you to stop this attack and be prepared to attend the wedding. Stand up like a real king so you don't end up ruining your image in front of the other packs. I am sorry that I will have to excuse myself from this gathering. I have a lot to attend to; I am getting the gift ready. "Luna Elena bows her head slightly before leaving the meeting.

Alpha Marcus was so speechless; he couldn't believe what just happened. Maybe she's lucky to be his mate. Because anyone who dares do that will have known what it tastes like to disrespect him.

"I can't believe this is happening under my control and no one bothers to tell me about it, not even my Beta. I thought I was supposed to trust you, but what's this? He thundered, venting his anger at his beta.

"I am sorry, maybe I was just trying to follow the right path. I am not supporting the idea of causing trouble for everyone just because of power, so I think I am on the same page with Luna Elena. There's still time to turn back; they are ready to speak with us amicably, and then everyone can be at peace without any fighting for dominance," He said, his voice meek and his head slightly bowing.

"Guards, lock him up" he ordered, and the guards rushed to them.

"Alpha Marcus, since you've decided to lock me up all because I am standing for the truth, then you should know I am not going to be involved in any disaster you cause in the future. You are an Alpha; why don't you behave like one? Your father was never like this. I know how your dad was before his death. He never wanted power in this way. But you've become so greedy all of a sudden, fighting for something that's not ours. How greedy could you be, Marcus?" he shouted, staring into his eyes. The elder tried to intervene but chose to stay back for their own good, But the oldest among them stood up.

"Your majesty, I think you should calm down, and considering what he said, I have served under your father for years, and he never called for war. He Even resolved this case of dominance with Alpha Nathan's father, and they both came to a conclusion that has kept the two packs in good shape for years. I don't think this should cause any issue between the two packs," The elders said, against his ideas.

"That was my father, not me; we are two different people, and everything about us is different. I am not going to stand so low like my father did and beg for what belongs to us. I am going to take it with force, and they will be under our pack. Iam going to be the one giving the orders." His voice echoes in the air.

"Alpha Nathan is right. If our late Alpha wasn't so soft, it's possible we might have gone beyond being under the royal wolf pack. This Is the only way to reclaim the respect that our forefathers lost after a lifetime with them." Elder Steven said in supportive of him, and then their was disagreement between the elders. The guards wanted to force Beta Bryan, but he warned them not to lay hands on him because he's not a tyrant. He walked on his own while the guards followed suit. The meeting was discarded without coming to a certain conclusion, as few were in support of the Alpha while some were against it.

Alpha Marcus was in the resting room, still trying to digest everything that happened in the meeting, when Luna Elena walked in, her face brimming with anger.

"Why do you lock your beta up? Do you know he has as much right as you do? He was just trying his best to protect your ass, but you seem to be an ingrate. I am Sorry that I will have to go against your order again." She Walked out of the restroom angrily, going towards the palace cell.
