Chapter 95 CHEESE! SAY HI TO YOUR OTHER GIFT GISELLE

Chapter 95 CHEESE! SAY HI TO YOUR OTHER GIFT GISELLE
Erica's POV

I arrived at the orphanage. I finally would donate the money… they weren’t mine, but they deserved to go back to where they came from.

Carter had been so heartless. He had swindled money from this orphanage and taken everything. The thirty million that asshole actually gave me… did he really think I would let him go?

I smiled softly and walked in. “Please, come in,” the headmistress said, and I sat down, the suitcase still held in my hand.

“Why did you suddenly decide to visit us, Miss?” she said softly… her eyes shimmering brightly. Of course she knew who I was—who wouldn’t? But seeing her puzzled, I could tell from her gaze she wasn’t just excited… she was confused.

I gently placed the suitcase on the table and unzipped it, turning it toward her, and watched as she froze. Her breath hitched in shock, still confused.

“What is the money about?” she asked, trembling softly.

My smile widened. “I’m donating thirty million to this orphanage,” I said softly, and she froze.

“What!” she asked, still in shock, her mouth falling open. She couldn’t comprehend what was happening and licked her lips nervously.

“Un… how could you… what?” she asked again.

I reached for my phone. At that moment, a bodyguard walked in. He gently dropped a package of drinks by the door, and more followed in…

I watched as her eyes widened, and finally, tears escaped. I froze.

She immediately stood up and rushed to me. She knelt down instantly, and I stood up.

“Stand,” I said, but she still knelt.

“Thank you, child,” she said softly, smiling while tears streamed down her face.

“The orphanage has been having food shortages and money issues… to the extent that I was about to be fired. They said I swindled the money for my own gain, but I only have what I was given. This little gesture you did just now… it’s actually…”

She burst into fresh tears. “The kids would be so happy.”

I gently reached out and held her shoulders, lifting her up steadily.

“You don’t have to thank me. I’m simply giving back what was owed,” I said softly, and she smiled.

But then she rushed toward me and, in that second, wrapped her arms around me, pulling me closer into a tight hug.

“Thank you,” she said once more.

Finally, the office was filled, not only with food, but clothing and cash.

“Let’s go see the children!” she said and reached for my wrist.

I wanted to protest, but she had already dragged me out…

The kids were clearly in their classes; the orphanage had a school too.

I stared at the countless children without parents, and suddenly, I felt a sharp pain in my heart.....If my mother hadn’t wanted me when my dad left her… I would have been here or perhaps dead.

The door opened, and suddenly every child turned to stare.

The teacher and the headmistress exchanged quiet whispers and then turned to the class.

“It’s our benefactor here. You should thank her… she brought lots of gifts today!” she said, and the kids applauded softly, obediently.

A small smile curved onto my lips. “Hi,” I said softly, and they replied back in unison.

“School is cancelled for today! Everyone go assemble at the hall!” she said, and the kids screamed in happiness, rushing out… all except one.

The teacher went out with the kids, coordinating them, but she said one thing to me before leaving, “We’ll go assemble the others too!”

After she left, I stood there, staring at the girl by the window.

“Why isn’t she leaving?” I asked, and the headmistress sighed.

“She hasn’t said a word to anyone here for a long time… she really doesn’t want anything to do with anyone. The only words she has ever said are, ‘My mum, she will come for me…’ her mum left her here.”

Hearing those words, I felt my stomach drop. No wonder she looked so sad and distant.

I walked closer. “Hey, kid,” I called out, and she turned to stare at me.

Her doe eyes locked into mine. She didn’t say a word… it reminded me of myself. I looked for my dad, wanted him… but that urge died a long time ago.

“Your mum isn’t coming back for you,” I said coldly and directly.

She froze. The tears welling in her eyes were visible, and her lips parted.

“She will!”

“That’s a fantasy,” I said coldly.

Her tears finally slipped down.

The headmistress moved toward me, but I stopped her with a raised hand.

“Why wait for her when she won’t come back? Is it easier deceiving yourself that she will?” I asked.

She froze, just staring, but her tears said otherwise, and I crouched down to her level.

“Promise me,” I said softly, holding out my pinky finger.

She just stared down.

“I have hope in my mum,” she muttered softly.

“Child, if you hope, you’ll get disappointed over and over again… but if you want to hold on to that hope, then do,” I said softly, and she just stared.

“But you…”

“Swear to me you will work hard, be happy, and when you see her again, tell her—‘I waited. You just never came… why?’”

She paused and stared at my pinky finger. “She will come for me,” she mumbled softly, and I smiled.

Trust… pure. That’s how kids are. But I knew that when she grew older, she would realize everything was a blatant lie. Before she gets that hurt, I wanted her to know… but at the same time, I wanted her to have a little hope in people.

“Good girl,” I said, gently ruffling her hair.

She just stared, and I stood up, walking away… but then her hand finally gripped my pinky finger.

“Okay,” she said softly.

I turned to stare at her.

"Little angel," I thought inwardly… and walked out with her.

I watched as they handed things out to the kids, and the little girl stayed beside me.

“Miss, I hope you find someone who holds your hand like you did with me today!” she smiled, waved her little hands at me, and ran off.

I stood there, smiling… but could I be fixed No i can’t.

My phone rang. Staring at the message, my smile faltered and my eyes darkened.

“What do you want?”

Reading the message from Giselle, I smiled.

“Kill yourself,” I replied.

Giselle sent a laughing emoji. She must be going crazy right now.

“Giselle, are you testing me?” I typed back and attached a gift.

“Congrats, you became famous again overnight,” I added and logged out of the account.

Yeah… I had sold her video to a porn site and made sure every news channel got the details.

Giselle… this is just the beginning....Enjoy this little gift for now.
