Chapter 91 SLAUGHTERED

Chapter 91 SLAUGHTERED
WARNING: This chapter is brutal: Full of abuse, violence, and bloodshed. Please proceed only if you can handle it.

“Um, Miss Esme!” Giselle gasped, stepping forward and yanking Esme into a tight hug.

“What are you talking about?” Esme asked, eyes flicking between the two girls. Aurora’s lips parted like she was about to speak, but Giselle’s face was already pure panic.

“My goldfish died!” Giselle muttered, burying her head in Esme’s shoulder. “I was sad… but honestly? It was for the better it died.”

Esme didn’t look convinced at all.

“Her goldfish was suffering,” Aurora jumped in smoothly. “She didn’t notice early enough, and it hurt a lot. When it finally died… it was like its soul could finally rest in peace.”

Esme’s lips parted. “Oh.” She purred out soft. She reached up and gently stroked Giselle’s hair. “Don’t feel sad.”

Giselle’s smile stretched wide. Yeah, she still hated Celina with every fiber. But the one person who could make her melt like this was Esme.

The way she moved her hand, so soft, so careful… nothing but raw envy twisted in Giselle’s chest. She envied the way Celina got this kind treatment before she died.

Aurora just stared. Then her phone dinged.

She glanced at the screen, her face hardening, she walked straight out.

“Yes!” Her voice sliced through the line cold like ice.

A manic laugh exploded from the other end. “Yes?! That’s how you fucking answer me?!”

Her father’s voice was pure venom. Aurora inhaled sharp.

“I sent 2000$ last week. If it’s money you need, I di—”

“Shut up, you little bitch!” Then came the crying. Her mother’s broken sobs bleeding through the speaker.

Aurora’s grip crushed the phone. “If you lay a finger on her-”

Her father’s laugh rolled deep, sick. Her jaw locked so tight she tasted blood. She slammed the call off.

Drew a ragged breath.

Her heels clacked hard against the floor as she stormed away.

Her PA spotted her, and rushed over “Miss, you can’t leave, the photoshoot is in hours!”

Aurora’s face was midnight. “I’ll be back before then.”

The PA bit her lip hard, looking like she’d just signed her own termination.

Aurora slid into her car. “Get out,” she barked at the driver. He scrambled.

Her hands strangled the steering wheel, the engine roared, tires screamed out of the lot.

She whipped the wheel into a brutal curve, blasting past the market. Horn blaring nonstop. People jumped, screamed, scattered in terror as her car past through. Cops? Not today, not an option that's was why she used the short cut.

Her breath jagged, she tapped the screen and dialed.

“Helloooo-” A lazy, groggy voice answered, like a female mid-party high.

“Go home. Check on Mum.”

The girl clicked her tongue. “Why would I? Go yourself.”

Aurora let out a dark, hollow laugh.

“You little whore. I fucking pay for that apartment. I don’t care what party you’re at. Go. Home. Now.”

A chuckle escaped her lips. “No.” with that, the line went dead. Cut off.

Aurora froze, she lifted her gaze, her eyes widened.

Up ahead, a kid on a bike. Too close, her car almost crashed into him, she jerked the wheel.

Crash.

The metal screamed, and glasses exploded

“Hey! Are you blind or drunk?!” The street vendor banged on her window, furious.

Aurora’s forehead rested on the wheel, hair wild. Thin trickle of blood slid down her temple.

“Hey! You dead? Pay up or I’m calling the cops!” Slow, deep yawn in his voice.

She squeezed her eyes shut, shook her head once, then blinked her eyes open.

Blurred shapes. Moving figures. Everyone staring, the visual all felt hazy.

“Did I hit anyone?” she asked softly, barely a whisper. The knocks rained harder. She turned, his angry face filled the window.

“Call the cops!” he barked at his daughter, but snatched the phone himself and dialed.

Aurora’s eyes snapped wide.

Flash.

Flash.

Flash.

Memories slammed in, she gagged, the door handle yanked open and the seller’s phone flew, landed and smashed on the concrete.

He raised his arm to scream, but cash rained into his palm. Thick stacks, more than thousands.

He froze, and licked his lips.

Aurora was already gone, leaving the wrecked car smoking behind her.

She paused one second and wiped the blood streaking down her cheek.

She needed to get home. Ducked into a shop, bought a black scarf, wrapped it tight around her face, hiding the blood.

Called a cab. “Go.” the engine hammered a and she stared at the window breathing ragged and heavy.

“What did I tell you to do?!” His voice cracked like thunder.

The belt hissed out of the loops. Middle-aged weakness didn’t stop the violence.

Whip.

The leather landed in her, his wife shivered, clinging to the couch, no fight left in her. She had tried earlier, but ended up with a black eye and bursted lips.

Another lash landed, her flesh bled and a tear slipped free.

He stalked closer. His hands cracked across her face. “Where’s the stash, you fool?!” he yelled, gripped her collar and shook violently.

“It’s my money. Why should I give it to you?”

He laughed wet, ugly. “Still daring to open that filthy mouth?” he yanked her hair. Hard her scalp felt like they were burning.

“Please stop…”

He only laughed louder, enjoying it“That money is ours. How the hell is it yours?”

Slap

“Our daughter’s money is ours!”

Another slap. She took it, every sting.

Aurora had sent him 2000$. Sent her mum the same, still he came crawling back, greedy.

He Gambled it. Drank it, even fucked strangers on their matrimonial bed. She had heard the moans, but didn't raise a voice.

Now he wanted hers. “Please…”

Wrong word.

He dragged her by the ankle. Off the couch, his boot slammed her face, her nose was hit and blood dripped down.

Stomp.

“Useless woman!”

Stomp.

“Why didn’t you just die then?”

He remembered, about nine years ago, he beat her to the edge of death, yet she survived, hospitalized and breathing.

That’s when Aurora finally called the cops on him. She was sixteen then, luckily he got out early due to lack of evidence.

And went straight for Aurora. For it wa slaps, then kicks, yet his stupid wife tried to shield her, so he beat them both, but Aurora’s eyes were filled with pure vengeance, it made him laugh dark, snapping him back to reality.

“You even turned my daughter against me!” he shoved the wife off, and trailed off to the kitchen

Talking the kitchen knife, it gleamed as the sun rays peeking through the curtain hit it. He smiled staring at it, like it was a trophy and rushed to the leaving room but..

She was gone, only blood on the floor welcomed him.

“Wife… are you hiding? Just a little cut! Wouldn't kill” he cackled, his crooked teeth came into view.

He spun, but froze.

Aurora’s face, full of anger, murderous intent, before he could speak-

Smash.

The bottle smashed onto his skull, he dropped to the ground, the knife skittered and landed next to her boots

Aurora laughed low and dark“How’s this? Do you like getting beaten up?”

He yelled, jabbing his fingers at her "You bastard child! I raised you!”

And a chuckle ripped from her throat.“So? You fed me. Does that make you a good father?” she ran her hand through her hair smiling.

“I paid you off. Told you to divorce my mum. Did you?” she stepped closer, picked up the knife. “People like you need lessons.”

Siren calm and deadly.

He shivered, crawled backward ignoring the glass shards that dug into palms. He wanted his safety.

“I’ll call the cops!”

Aurora laughed. "Cops? Dad… I would happily murder you and turn myself in.” revealing a sweet smile with dead eyes.

He crawled faster. “Stay away!” but her Laughter tore out loud. No one could hear, not even the neighbors, they were all gone celebrating the monthly town festival.

“I gave you a chance.” she muttered

“You ungrateful wretch. Without me—”

Chuck. The knife whistled past his arm, buried in floor. The sweat in his forehead dipped to the ground.

A scream tore out from his lips. She dragged it slow, letting the blade cut through his flesh.

He howled in pain, but then!

Smash.

The hammer landed up his head. The brain matter sprayed around, thick and red.

It splattered on Aurora’s face, she froze, the blood dripped slow, pooling the ground.

She lifted her gaze, two trembling hands still gripped the hammer.

“I’m so tired of you…” the voice came out weak and cold.

Aurora stared “Mum…”

Her mother stood there, small, shaking, covered in
bruises, yet a satisfied smile curled in her lips, her eyes were hollow like they lost their shine.

The hammer slipped and clattered to the ground.

Silence swallowed the room, only their ragged breathe could be heard.
