Chapter 24 Chapter 24
Theodore
Cheers erupted in the room as I stepped out of the ring. I wiped the sweat mixed with blood on my face with my arm.
I won against one of Sergei's men, well I always do.
“Boss, that was an incredible match. You have to see Sergei's face. He is pissed as fuck.”
I collected the towel from whoever was speaking. Not bothering to look at him. He has to be one of my newly recruited men, and one who doesn't listen.
There were rules to follow in my organisation. Most of the boys knew I hated being spoken to after a match. If it was before, I had sent him out, but today was his grace.
“Theo, I must say you still have all it takes.” Michael’s face beamed with a smile. While it has been a month since I last fought here, I wouldn't have been here if not for him.
Michael was Uncle’s friend. Uncle had called in the afternoon asking me for a favour to entertain him. Apparently, the new goods are to come from him.
Though I would love to decline his requests, I wanted to let out some steam, and maybe return a favour of beating Sergei to shit. But the coward had backed out, replacing himself with his boy.
Michael placed his hand on my shoulder and I moved out of it. He raised his hands, smiling more.
“Your Uncle wasn't lying when he spoke about you. You are truly one of a kind. Thanks for the match, son. I’ll be leaving now.”
With that, I sighed.
“Boss, who is that? He isn't among the faces that wa—”
“Shut the fuck up, and scram.”
I looked at the fly that had been buzzing. As expected. he was young.
Who the fuck let a little boy serve me?
He looked frozen in place at my words.
“Go find Ethan, and ask him to get here.” My voice lowered. He nodded at that, running off.
He was excited because he didn't know how deep a bit he was in.
“As expected, you did beat one of my men again. Don't tell me you still hold hatred for me for kidnapping your man. Johnny had given me all the details, just for more money. He was greedy Theo. I was only doing you a favour.” Sergei appeared in front, his ugly face smiling.
I rolled my eyes, dropping the towel now covered in blood on the floor.
“ Why would I fight because of Johnny? He messed up, betrayed me. Even though he was tortured by your men to speak, he still gave the information out. He could have easily asked for my protection instead of bearing and betraying me. So the match wasn't his.” I took a step closer to him, leaning into his ears.
“Though Johnny is dead, I did value him as one of my men. I made his death fast with a gunshot. But that’s not the same for your men who tortured him.”
My lips curled into a smile. “ It has already been a month, aren't your men still missing?” I moved back and smirked.
“You should be caring for your man. I did hit his shit head hard on the floor. I doubt he had recovered from that.” I walked past him, but then something clicked in my head m, so I stepped back to face him.
“I know the referee was paid by you. What was that rod for? I would bet a perfect percent that it was poisonous. Are you seriously stooping so low? Stop playing tricks now, you are getting old. Don't let me come after you, dumbass.”
I walked past him to the locker room. Now that I was done here, I needed to leave, and visit someone.
“You were looking for me.” I heard Ethan's voice before he came to my side.
I pulled the shirt over my shoulders, wearing another black one, and then my shorts.
“Where did you go?” I looked at his face, and I think I knew.
“Don't tell me you went looking for Dulce again. Are you an idiot?”
Well, Dulce was the bottle girl here. Some said everyone had eyes on her, and she was touched by many. Not that I care to know, but Ethan does, and his silly crush on her has caused her more trouble than good.
“You should speak for yourself. You are completely in an obsessive role with an enemy.” He turned to his phone and his face hardened.
“Do you know about this?” He turned his phone to me.
‘For the reports of today, over five men were found dead. The cause is labeled as a new drug. But its identity is yet to be found.’
“It seems it has gone beyond our zone. Those cheap resellers. I fucking warned to keep it in our zone.” Ethan cursed.
“Call Blaze.” My hand clenched into fists as I waited. Blaze was in charge. It shouldn't go out of proportion, my drugs weren't for everyone.
“Second boss, where is boss? Lord, I was just about to call. Those stupid resellers just had to give it out to kids. Right now, the cops are on our backs. Those fucking newbies would definitely pee themselves at the sight of a stun baton.”
I took the phone from Ethan. “Listen Blaze. Withdraw all drugs in the next twenty minutes. Kill if you have to. And also, get all the resellers locked.” I returned the phone to Ethan.
“Returning all the goods will be nailing ourselves,” Ethan commented as we walked out to my car.
“Yes. But Uncle will understand. It's business afterall.” I opened the door. “Get the fuck out,” I said to Kane, he scrambled out of the car.
“From now on, deliver orders only from the higher up. All the other drugs should be kept in a container. Even a cut missing would be paid with blood.” I entered, and Ethan followed.
“You don't have to follow me, I’m sure, you want to search for your bottle girl, while I look for my obsession. So scram.”
Ethan shook his head and went out, making sure to slam the door.
‘Dickhead.’
I fired up the ignition, and took off, a destination in mind.
Selena Duvain.
I stopped in front of her building. Her room lights were still on.
What was she doing?
Would she be scared if I turned up in her room just like that?
I looked at my hands. Fuck I couldn’t.
But I wanted to. Selena covered in blood, under my white light would be breathtaking. And something told me she had liked it too.
Because I could tell under her innocence, there was something hidden. Something I wanted to ruin and claim for myself.
