Because those were her gifts to Cedrick–an unwavering symbol of one–of–a–kind love.
But now, with love gone, what’s the point of keeping these cufflinks?
Seeing this message, the assistant instantly connected it with Cedrick’s affair involving that so–called young girl. A pang of sadness washed over them as understanding dawned.
Lucille was about to slip her phone away and head to the rehearsal hall when Cedrick’s another message popped up.
Cedrick sent over a photo this time, of one of the coats: this one’s a bit tight on the shoulders, I need it altered.
Lucille felt annoyed: I’ll talk to the studio when I have time, set up an appointment for alterations.
Cedrick sent another: I need this one altered too, the sleeves are short.
Lucille: ?
?
?
Impossible, they’ve made over a hundred suits for you, you never said they didn’t fit when I brought them back, now you want every one altered?
Cedrick: Yes, I do, and this one too, take a look.
He directly sent a photo of himself wearing it.
It clearly fits perfectly!
Lucille: Isn’t this fine?
Cedrick: No, I don’t like the style, too dull, needs altering too.
Lucille: ?
?
?
Who said: I’m a company head, my image needs to be steady and reliable, clothes don’t need to be too fashionable.
Lucille: Cedrick, it feels like you’re deliberately picking a fight today!
Cedrick: Say what you want, they all need altering anyway.

Lucille: Take them to the shop yourself, Helen will alter them for you.
Cedrick: No, you tell him, I’m busy, whatever they say, you relay it to me.
Lucille: ?

Sorry, I’m busy too, if none of these fit you, just give them away, or if that doesn’t work, donate them directly.
Cedrick: No, I’m keeping these sets, just alter them, I’m not giving them away.
Lucille: Fine, if you want them altered, take them to the shop, no need to tell me, if not, even less need to tell me, be- tween us, no need to message me except to discuss divorce terms.
Cedrick was still editing his message when Lucille suddenly sent another: Blocked, I’ll unblock in a week, hope by then you have no objections to the divorce terms.
Cedrick hadn’t finished editing when he saw this, his unsent message was: Don’t always use divorce to threaten me into cutting ties with Maricela.
He tapped send, but it was a red exclamation mark.
Lucille put her phone in her pocket and went straight to the rehearsal hall.
Aydan was already inside practicing, and it looked like he’d been at it for a while, sweat on his forehead, seeing her come, his face lit
“Lucille.” up,
Lucille, who had been practicing continuously for days, actually felt the effects, her body flexibility improved, basics slowly recovering, but the biggest problem was still her foot.
Audiences see dance as soft and light, but all lightness and softness ultimately rely on strength for support.
Without foot recovery, there’s never strength.
“Lucille, I video–called the old gentleman again last night, he gave me a new set of videos specifically for foot rehab, let’s try them today.”
Aydan stopped his own practice to help her.
“Mm!”
Lucille nodded, she knew the rehab process was tough, but she wouldn’t back down.
Their time in Germany was almost up, moving to the next stop, but due to a car rental issue, they couldn’t leave the next day, so Meredith gave them a day off to go out and explore.
Luckily, at each stop they didn’t perform immediately, there was a day to rest, so it wouldn’t delay the next show.
