Chapter 206
“Absolutely wonderful!” Meredith cut in. “Dance is technique, but it’s also emotion unleashed! It’s the romance of moving when inspired! It’s the courage to rise after countless falls! Welcome back to our world!”
“Professor…” Lucille longed to hug her teacher but glanced at her sweaty clothes. “I’ll shower first.”
“Go ahead. I’ll wrap up here.” Meredith returned to her work with a warm smile.
After Lucille’s shower, Meredith had nearly finished. They exchanged quiet words, each urging the other to rest.
But how could Lucille sleep? The day’s events still raced through her mind.
She studied Linda’s photos for a long time. The woman in those pictures felt familiar yet strange and utterly
beloved.
Meredith’s encouragement, Linda’s support, Aydan’s cheers all swirled in her mind until resolve crystallized. She posted that photo on Instagram with a caption: Decision made.
Yes. Decision made.
Whether she could still dance or not, this grand production would happen!
Likes and comments flooded in immediately.
She checked mere minutes passed, yet likes already filled the screen.
–
Comments overflowed with praise. Aydan even teased: Got it, senior.
Still awake!
Lucille chuckled.
High school friends commented too, including Billy: Our goddess remains eternal.
As Lucille pondered replying, another comment appeared: Wipe your mouth clean!
Cedrick.
Her comments section suddenly became lively – Cedrick and Billy were having a fight right under her post! Billy: My mouth’s clean. Purest admiration for our goddess. You’re the one stealing bites elsewhere!
Cedrick: Hope your body matches your mouth’s toughness!
Billy: Bring it on! Let’s see if your fists or your mouth win!
Cedrick: Waiting! Just landed!

Chapter 206
Lucille found it pretty boring and deleted the post immediately.
Then Cedrick’s message popped up, snapping her Instagram photo at her: “Tell me, what exactly have you decided?”
“What have you decided with that guy Aydan?”
If deciding to divorce counted as a decision, he’d find out when he got home.
Cedrick kept messaging nonstop–this intensity was something that’d never happened before in all these five years.
“I’m back in Seaston. Get home within two days, or don’t blame me for being ruthless.”
“I know you won’t reply, but get this straight: Who puts food on your table and clothes on your back? You can’t sur- vive without me. Keep acting this spoiled and you’ll come crawling back to me in tears!”
Lucille’s mind surged with the dance she’d just improvised. If arranged into a dance drama as Linda suggested, how should it unfold?
Countless ideas crashed through her thoughts like a storm, making Cedrick’s messages barely stir a ripple— mere droplets swallowed by towering waves in her mind, vanishing without a trace.
She didn’t even consider blocking him; it caused no disturbance. After reading, she simply returned to choreograph- ing.
The dance’s inspiration stemmed from The Legend of the Phoenix. Her vision expanded–cycles of rebirth, ancient legacies, epic grandeur. She envisioned a dance drama rooted in Mythic Atlas.
Excitement eclipsed all else. That night, her dreams brimmed with mountains, rivers, and phoenixes soaring amid dragon roars.
Cedrick couldn’t wait until dawn. With the last flight departing in little over an hour, he booked tickets, packed hasti- ly, and raced to the airport.
He hadn’t planned to bring Maricela, but she insisted on returning with him. Pressed for time, he didn’t argue. They flew back together.
Upon reaching Seaston, Cedrick rushed home without pause–Maricela trailing behind.
He didn’t know why he was hurrying; no one awaited him there. Yet an urgent impulse drove him homeward. When Maricela claimed concern and followed, he lacked the energy to dissuade her.
Maricela exited the elevator first. Her face paled instantly upon spotting an origami crane taped to the door.
