Chapter 7: 6-2
"Where are—" I squeak like an excited baby when my legs find the bed. I fall onto it, face first, and don't move. I hear the boy chuckle. I moan and groan drunkenly as my head remains smushed into the bed. "Noona~" Jaewook sing-songs. I feel the bed sink down as he sits beside me. I just grumble in response. "I have something for you," he continues to sing. I turn my head up to see him holding a bottle of water and a package of strawberries. I immediately sit up, staring at the red fruit. I reach out to grab it but he pulls his hand back. "Ah ah, first water." I whine as he puts the bottle in my hand. He opens the cap for me and leads the bottle to my mouth. I take a few big gulps, but then my throat refuses any more and a steam of water falls down my chin. He pulls the bottle away quickly. "Noona, you're making a mess." He puts the bottle down and wipes the water from my chin with his thumb. And then all of a sudden, it kicks in. I scooch over so that I'm right beside him, and my arms clutch around his arm. My head lays on his shoulder. "Jaewook~" I sweetly say. "Uh." The boy looks down at me in shock, dumbfounded by my change in character. While I'm, admittedly, a bit of a stuck up female dog, when I get drunk I turn a complete 180. I crave touch, cuddles, soft things, and all the cute stuff one can puke out. It's caused a lot of public misunderstandings in the past, since usually my brother is my cuddling target. "Jaewook!" I squeeze his arm and nuzzle my head against him. "Noona? Are you okay?" I look up at him, "yep." "Here, eat this." He hands me a strawberry, staring at me peculiarly. I unwrap my arms as take the fruit. With both hands I nibble on it. My legs move so that they drape over his side ways and he just about has a seizure. "Do I make you nervous?" I giggle at him as my eyes blink very slowly. He observes me for a moment before answering. "Not at all." And I think he means it. The strawberry drops from my mouth as I stare at him in disbelief. But he's always nervous around me when we study? Is he lying? But he sounds very serious and even now as he looks at me, he doesn't falter one bit. He picks up the fallen strawberry and places it in his mouth, his eyes still pouring into mine. "Jae-Jaewook?" I stutter nervously. What's happening? It's like the roles have reversed. "Yes Noona?" He deviantly smirks at me. Smirks. Something I've only seen him do today. He grabs another strawberry and puts it into my open mouth. Instinctively I chew on it, eyes still glued on him. I point at him and he points at himself, eyebrows raised playfully. "You," I drunkenly say. "Me?" "You're different." "I am?" He smirks again. And then he puts his hand on my bare thigh. It lies there, casually, as if it's the natural thing to do. I begin to fake cry, in complete shock by this new person in front of me, but not knowing what to do about it. "Aw why is Noona crying?" "Stop it!" I whine and close my eyes shut. He laughs at me and now his other hand lays on my shin. I have an insane urge to cling onto someone as my mind turmoils in complete and utter confusion. But of course, there's no one here except me. So my drunken self shifts and sits on his lap, wrapping her arms around his torso. Without hesitation, his arms wrap around my body. My head snuggles into his chest. I sigh in happiness at the human contact, my hands clutching onto his shirt. "You're a little otter when you're drunk," the boy says. "Otter?" I look up at him in confusion. "Otters love cuddling." "Ah," my eyes light up like a child, "I love cuddling!" He snorts in disbelief, "Wow, I should record this and show it to you tomorrow." "Okay," I reply innocently. He shakes his head at me and begins to stroke my hair. "Who knew Noona could be such a baby," he coos at me as I stare up at him. "I like hugs," I slur. He chuckles again, "This is priceless." I squeeze him as hard as I can, but his body is more solid than I thought. The goofy smile on his face makes me smile back at him. "I would kiss you right now." My heart begins to beat rapidly from these uncharacteristic words. "But I can't. Not when you're like this." "Why not?" "Look at you." "I can't," I say as I go cross-eyed. He laughs again. "Such a baby girl." He reaches beneath him and pulls out his phone. "Hyung? Yeah she couldn't remember the password. She's like a completely different person, it's incredible." I play with the hem of his shirt as he talks on the phone. "She's acting like a child right now, she should go to bed, so please tell me the code. You can change it tomorrow." "Okay, thanks." And as my eyelids grow heavy over my eyes, I feel myself get lifted up into the air and carried away. I barely remember being placed on my bed, but I catch the glow of his eyes as he tucks me in before leaving. ...
