Thorns Of Betrayal

What is the meaning of this! How can you all do this to my daughter! She’s carrying your baby—” “Are you so corrupt that even when the evidence is clear…you still choose to lie? Does your greed truly have no boundaries?” Savannah stepped forward, her face etched with disgust as her words pierced like spears. The cameras continued to flicker as the reporters waited for what would happened next. Suddenly, a reporter stepped forward. “Chairwoman Kyle, exactly what crimes are you all accusing the Hawkins of?!” Savannah glared at her stepfamily, her eyes falling on Richard, a man she once loved as her father, finally glancing back at the reporter. “Let’s start with the most obvious of their crimes…fraud.” The room fell silent as the reporters all turned back towards the Hawkins. Refusing to give up, Darma ran in front of Savannah, her eyes and voice feigning pleas. “Savie…why are you doing this! I’ve been your mother for over seven years! How could you betray us and lie like this! What fraud-” “You’ve never been my mother Darma. The lies have to stop.” Savannah scoffed, “You’re not even my stepmother…seeing as to how my so-called stepfather was still married to you when he entered into a marriage with my mother!” GASPS!! ------------------- Thorns of Betrayal is an anthology centered around THREE stories!
