Chapter 58

Eros Robinson’s POV

"Just look at Eros, your rotten plan will never be achieved! Hit me all you want! That won't be enough to make you happy because you will always lose the people you love." Martin said when his shirt collar was still in my hand. Hearing what he just said made my emotions boil even more.

“Who do you think you are to decide my life, huh? Damn you, Martin!” I growled and subconsciously grabbed his neck tightly.

I heard John, who was standing not far next to me, calling my name, which made me regain consciousness instantly, and saw Martin who looked weak as he tried to release my tight grip on his neck. I stared intently at the eyes that had the same color as mine. Instantly a feeling of hatred that was so great again took control of my heart. Then I immediately released my stranglehold on him and threw his body until he fell right in front of my feet.

“Don't talk carelessly, Martin. I won't hesitate to kill you, even if you are my younger brother." I said slowly, but full of emphasis on every word that had just come out of my mouth.

After that, I immediately turned around to leave that place. I don't want to look him in the eye or deal with him anymore. “Clean up this mess!” I ordered my men before actually moving from where I was standing. I decided to visit Freshia to check on her situation. Besides, I need to see it to neutralize and calm myself down again.

When I was going up the stairs, I saw Ivanka standing in front of me. He bowed his head as I passed him. "Sir, should I prepare a change of clothes and warm water in the bath for you to clean yourself?" He said to me.

“Yes, please prepare. But before that, I will see Freshia's condition first.” I answered as I continued to walk past him.

“But, I'm sorry, sir,” Ivanka said again, making me stop my footsteps and turn to her. I saw her brow furrow in surprise. “Didn't you tell one of the servants to take Miss Freshia to a safe place? Because earlier, one of my men who was assigned to take Miss Freshia back to her room, was stopped by another servant who said that he was assigned to take Miss Freshia somewhere. So that they don't take Miss Freshia to the room, sir.”

"Stupid!" I snapped in a loud voice. “I told those servants to take her back to the room! Where have I ever told you anything other than from my mouth directly?" I exclaimed then in a voice that was no less loud than before.

I immediately took my cell phone out of my coat pocket to call John. “John! Stop Martin's vehicle or his men now!" I exclaimed when I heard John's voice on the other end of the phone.

"But, their car just left the yard, sir."

“Damn! Freshia was taken away, John! Chase them until you can! Then order some of you to check all sides of the house. Make sure you don't miss anything.” John immediately complied with my order. I hung up the phone and my focus returned to the servants who were still standing in front of me with their faces down. “How long have you guys been working with me, huh? To the point where you can get caught so easily like this. Who did I assign to take Freshia to her room?" I shouted at them again.

Not long after, four servants separated themselves. I stared at them closely. “Take me to check Freshia's room. If she really isn't in her room, then I don't want to see you two in this house anymore." I snapped at the four servants.

Sure enough, when I arrived in front of Freshia's room and opened the door, I didn't find anyone inside. I immediately stepped in to check all parts of the room but to no avail. Freshia really doesn't exist.

“SHIT, FUCK, FUCK! Get out of here all of you!" I shouted loudly at the four servants who had been silent by the door, too afraid to face me. Then they immediately left when they heard my order just now.

I can't take it anymore. I slammed everything in front of me and made the room very messy. “I begged her to stay here but she still left. Just look, Freshia. Now, I will destroy anyone who helps you to leave here.” I said to myself.

Freshia Ava's POV

This journey takes up to three hours. The car I was riding in finally stopped in front of a minimalist-style house located in a cluster housing complex in a village. There are only about ten houses in the cluster. Amara and I immediately got out of the car. We immediately walked to the terrace of the house with Amara leading in front of me. During that time, my gaze scanned the surroundings, which at that time were very quiet.

“Let's go in, Freshia,” Amara said when she managed to open the door. I, who had just been standing quietly where I was, immediately followed her into the house.

"Whose house is this, Amara?" I asked as soon as I set foot on the floor of the house I had just entered.

"Martin said, this was his home before he left and lived abroad for his mother's treatment. No need to worry, Freshia. Martin also said that it wouldn't be easy for Eros to find this place."

I sighed in resignation. “What I'm more worried about is you and your family, Amara. Living with him for a long time made me get to know Eros quite well. I'm sure he won't stay silent once he finds me running away from his house. I'm afraid this will harm other people."

"We'll think about all that later. The important thing is, you've managed to get out of there. Don't worry too much about what might not happen, Freshia. Let's just enjoy what we have now, okay? I'm glad I managed to get you away from that house. So, let's have a small celebration. While waiting for Martin to arrive, how about we just cook dinner tonight?"

Amara looked so happy. So I can only agree to her wishes and try to forget about the problem of Eros for a moment. Isn't this what I want? Let go of the people who have locked me up and restrained me. I thought. But in reality it's not that easy. The shadow of Eros still continues to haunt me. Like when Amara handed me a glass of hot chocolate in the middle of us preparing the ingredients for dinner.

“I made your favorite drink, Freshia.” She said followed by a smile.

“Thank you, Amara,” I replied. I looked sadly at the glass of hot chocolate in front of me. My memory returned to the last moment that night when I enjoyed hot chocolate with Eros in front of the fireplace. Eros again. My body was no longer in that house, but half of my soul seemed to be left there.
