Chapter 26
Her eyes grew wider. He was aware of it.
Her eyelids slid shut. I... I have no idea what you are talking about.
"This is what I'm talking about." He helped her off the couch and gave her a soft mouth kiss while holding her in place with one arm so she couldn't move away. She was sucked into his hypnosis as her eyelids closed and her heartbeat accelerated. Despite what she said, she wasn't immune to him. Her body's stiffness vanished as he continued to press against her, his tongue stroking hers and his fingers brushing across her cheeks as the heat from her body ignited his. He was meant to be with her in heaven, God.
To take a breath, she slightly parted her lips, but the invitation was too tremendous. Her hand was clutching his shirt as her eyes combed over his as he used his tongue to probe her mouth. He said, thickly whispering, "You are she.
She could feel how desperately he wanted her by the weight of his groin pressing on her mound. the intensity of his desire for her. He croaked out in need, "Lelandi," and bowed his head to touch her forehead.
Her eyes were a gem-quality confusion. He kissed her cheek one more and said, "You are she."
She bit her lip and groaned.
He softly cursed. "Are you hurt?"
She seems caught between being honest with him and tolerating the ache without taking any medication. He assisted her in getting back to her seat before noticing Tom, the glass of water, who had seen all. Tom's lips curled into a small smile, and he slightly arched his brows.
"Lelandi's painkillers are in Silva. Grab them for her and see whether Silva got lost, Darien said, while also getting them.
Lelandi grinned a little, but she had the same kind of profound expression in her eyes as Larissa. He questioned what had transpired with the sisters to cause such pain. As Silva's gift to her shirt, he assisted her in taking off her leather jacket. Vixen. Deluxe matchmaker The lace fragment that was pushing up Larissa's breasts was visible through the blouse in the subdued illumination of the overhead light. He had intended to tell Tom to get him one of his flannel shirts for Lelandi when Tom arrived downstairs carrying the medication, Silva, the blanket, and the pillow.
Sam stormed inside with pizza boxes in his arms as soon as the doorbell interrupted him. If anyone wants to help, I have a ton of pizzas and alcohol.
Larissa was covered by Darien's blanket. Silva, join her in a chair.
"You bet, man."
But, when he and Tom brought in an armful of drinks, he saw that Silva had assisted Larissa in taking off her trousers, which were now folded on the couch arm. He sighed in silence as he imagined seeing the rest of her almost completely undressed beneath the cover.
Silva drew a chair closer to the couch and spoke to Lelandi, "How do you do it?," as Darien entered the kitchen with his brother and Sam. Oh wow, I really thought Darien would just take you to the couch. I returned up the stairs covertly so Darien wouldn't see me. Tom's shocked guffaws were sufficient audience. Silva grinned. "Darien is most likely being strangled since his pants become so tight in the crotch when he is near you. But, I am unable to elicit any emotion from Trevor.
Lelandi could feel Silva's suffering and knew for sure that Darien was transferring her sister onto her. She couldn't help but crave his sensual strokes, though. There was nothing worse than a lupus garou wanting someone who didn't feel the same way. She was aware, though, that Silva would have to figure this out on her own based on her past experiences and observations of her other wolf packmates. Nobody could explain to her what Lelandi and the majority, she was certain, already saw. Trevor was a dickhead who took joy in having Silva drool over him while having no intention of returning the favor. He knew Silva desired him but gave her the cold shoulder.
Lelandi was not, and could never be, Larissa in Darien's eyes. He would need to locate a new partner. not a person who resembled her.
Lelandi took a deep breath and told Silva to "find someone else." She had to be a little sneakier in her strategy, but she really did mean it.
Silva's eyes grew larger.
"I'm not really saying it. Persuade someone to assist you make Trevor jealous, but be sure to make it apparent right on that you're just after his attention.
Silva's entire face glowed. "I know the exact person." Make sure he is aware of your motivation. Giving some poor man false hope is not something you want to do.
Silva vigorously nodded, letting go of some of the curls that were piled on top of her head.
So, who are you aiming for?
Silva chuckled. “Sam. He is flawless. He is ten years my senior, but when he wants, he can really lay on the charm. He is also accustomed to my flirtations.
I can picture you killing a lot of wolves, you know."
“Yeah.” Silva played with her unruly curls. "I have a bit of a joking nature. I suppose I ought to tone it down.
"No, not always. Simply direct it. the appropriate male.
Lelandi pondered whether Silva's need for Sam's assistance was due to an interest in him that she was too preoccupied with Trevor to notice. Also, the way she swooned over Trevor would be a major turnoff if Sam was interested in her. But if Silva had given Sam a chance,
Before she had to go, Lelandi would assist in teaching Trevor a few things. And perhaps if she could charm Silva, she could be more inclined to divulge other pack secrets that might help Lelandi figure out who killed Larissa.
What were your plans for the little lady? As Darien invited his troops to the leader's pack meeting, Sam questioned in the kitchen.
Lelandi was reclining on the couch and the medicine was making her drowsy once more, but she could still hear Sam despite his quiet voice.
Darien answered, "She needs to be brought up to the guest bedroom. She needs to rest so she can regain her strength.
"Tom has a ton of issues to talk about. Is he in good enough condition to discuss the issues? Sam enquired.
The container was filled with ice. “Yeah. He'll be alright.
"Heard Jake lose the copper-coated guy near the bank,"
Lelandi exhaled with relief. Her cousin was a beta, the baby of the litter. No genuine family ties. Nevertheless, the chief of the Bruin tribe would undoubtedly force her to mate with his brother Crassus, the idiot, if he brought her back home. There wouldn't be enough Wildhavens.
Silva whispered softly to Lelandi, "I was Larissa's friend." The sole female companion she had. Even so, Nurse Grey treated her well at all times. Yet, I don't believe Larissa trusted any of them. Larissa wasn't an alpha, but she was kind and seemed innocent. She didn't pursue Darien, but it was clear that she was curious about what it would be like to be with someone who genuinely loved for and wanted her. Darien appears difficult, yet he is still in mourning over her. Yet she revealed a few things to me.
When the noise in the kitchen subsided, Silva paused. Her lips slightly curled upward. "Sugar, let's go to the guest bedroom. We won't want to hear the dull pack business, says Darien.
Jake glanced in Lelandi's direction as he walked into the living room and slammed the front door. He appeared enraged. Probably because Ural had eluded him.
Lelandi tried to hold her lips still, but they lifted slightly. He gave her a headshake. He moved toward the kitchen after hearing Darien's voice there.
“Well?” Darien's voice indicated that he was aware of his brother's response.
"The man escaped. However, a number of our men, including Uncle Sheridan, are looking for him. I'll get
