414- Taming the Wolf Inside Her

414- Taming the Wolf Inside Her
POV Viktor Averwyn:

Seraphine did not let go of it and threw her head back, opening herself wide to me.

I held back my wolf and her beast. I used my body to give pleasure, thrusting and sucking, nibbling her skin. Shoving my cock all the way in, making her tremble and contract completely, rubbing her little bud with my thumb.

The orgasm came devastatingly for Seraphine, but I held mine back for hours.

I sucked her clit until she came again with two fingers buried inside. I slipped another into her anus. I tired her out. Only then did I fuck her again and spill myself across her belly.

She nestled in my arms, spooned, all sweaty and flushed. Tired. Then she passed out, and I remained awake, nervous.

I feared that in the following nights that balance would be lost, that Seraphine would transform when I was away, for some reason. The full moon affected us and was doing the same to her.

I squeezed her against me and was surprised when she said softly:

“How can anyone call you cursed?”

“I thought you were sleeping.”

“I only dozed off. Your scent won’t let me pass out. But don’t let me go. I’m fine.” She still held the pendant. “You protect everyone you love, Viktor.”

That was not true. Thinking of my daughter killed by Lucian filled me with despair, with the feeling of having failed.

As if she sensed it, she almost melted into me, caressing my arm.

“You did everything you could. And you keep doing it.” She placed her hand over mine and stopped it on her belly. “Are you sure it’s really a girl?”

“I am. It seems they insist on coming into my life. The baby Jasmina killed was a girl. As was the one I found in the forest, Adelina. And now ours.”

“Will we ever have an alpha in the future? Alzira said our family will be large and happy.”

“We have centuries ahead to ensure that.” I caressed her belly, kissed her neck, emotional. “We will fight together for our daughter, for our happiness. No more losses.”

“Yes. And I will love each of our children as I love you, Viktor.” She turned her face slightly, her eyes fully green in mine. “My father would have loved you too, if he had met you. He would understand that, that time he visited the village as a wolf, he wasn’t threatening me, but saving me. That’s why he sent me away. And only returned when the time was right.”

It was destiny, and it was fulfilling itself.

I kissed her lips and only calmed down when she slept. I did not let go of her a single inch, watching over her sleep.

POV Seraphine Valerian:

“Do you want another one?”

Daciana watched me devour the second juicy, rare steak, juices dripping as I sliced off large pieces and brought them to my mouth.

“I do.” I swallowed and attacked another bite, delighted. The taste of blood filled my taste buds with pleasure.

“Here.” She placed another one on the plate and sat down. “Slow down or you’ll get sick.”

For her to ask me that, I really must have been overdoing it. She was always the one trying to make us eat beyond our limits.

I tried to control the hunger while something inside me pushed me to keep chewing. I fought it, just as I had been doing for the past two days.

When I looked at her and saw the worried expression on her face, I forced myself to put the fork down. I remembered Viktor tying the cord around my neck, telling me to control my instincts.

Tense, I grabbed the little bundle beneath my blouse, focusing on breathing.

“Your eyes are glowing, Seraphine. Do you want some water?”

I nodded, irritated with the animal that didn’t realize she was putting our daughter’s life at risk. I argued with her even without hearing her. I could already sense her presence, desperate to come out.

I drank the cold liquid in one gulp and stood up, turning my back on the steak.

“I think that’s enough, Daciana.”

“Girl, what can I do to help?”

“Nothing. I’m the one who needs to learn how to deal with her.” I paced a little, keeping my breathing steady, never letting go of the soft pendant. “Was it like this when you transformed for the first time?”

“It’s been so long I barely remember! But I know it was difficult. Later it becomes easier, once the body adapts. If it weren’t for the pregnancy, you’d already be a wolf like us.”

“She’s impatient.”

“She doesn’t think like a human, Seraphine. She follows instincts. You’ll always need a firm hand with her. Mine is old like me now and lazy! But she gave me plenty of trouble! Especially during the full moon.”

That conversation—the reality of it—was insane. Sometimes I thought I was living in a parallel world. Thankfully, I wasn’t. My favorite world would always be whichever one Viktor was in.

As if my thoughts had summoned him, he walked into the kitchen.

He wore a black blazer that fell below his hips, elegant, making him even more beautiful. Black pants, boots, and a dark shirt underneath. His pale skin contrasted with his dark eyes and eyebrows, his thick mahogany-brown hair messy.

I drank in the sight of him, almost purring with pleasure. Ruby had started sewing new clothes for him again with fabrics that had arrived. As well as several pieces he had ordered for me from fancy stores, filling my wardrobe.

Desire flared inside me just from seeing and smelling him, but he didn’t even give me time to react. He was in a hurry, his gaze nervous.

“Aldren just called me. He created the elixir.”

“What?” I swayed, my heart racing.

“It’s going to work. We need to go now.”

I hugged him, relieved. Daciana celebrated, and I practically ran outside with Viktor. Finally, I would have control over myself again, rid myself of that agony until our baby was born.

I prayed fervently that it would be so. The impatient creature struggling to come out already.

Viktor asked Cezar to drive the truck, and I didn’t really understand why. He wanted to stay free to take care of me on the way back in case I got sick or something. His concern helped calm me down.

We took a road toward Valmorin territory. It was enormous, filled with trees, concrete, and green-glass buildings spread throughout the area. Viktor explained they were laboratories. We headed there.

The beast inside me grew irritated, restless. I stayed focused on her the entire time, connected to the bundle of herbs, trapped in an unfair battle. It only got worse when we found Aldren and Elowen in a large room. The heat intensified, and I was struck by unexpected rage.
