411- The Beast and the Womb

411- The Beast and the Womb
POV Seraphine Valerian:

I knew he was working too much with Aldren and Edric to reorganize the territories and the laws, that he constantly circled Noctheria with anger, vigilant so that the Ancients wouldn't devise some way to escape or some impossible-to-fight magic. It was a constant threat, although the siege continued.

And there was the worst: his grief for Adelina. I found him in her empty room, devastated. I saw it in his eyes, even though he said nothing. I couldn't pull that pain from his chest, but I did everything not to burden him further.

We had dinner together; he told me how the reorganization of the territories with his brothers was going and how his time with them was. Each day, they recovered a little more memories of the past and grew closer.

We went to our room, and I nestled into his arms, my legs over his, listening.

"Things are settling down in the villages now; we will have more time. We are planning a dinner, a few gatherings. As soon as Aldren discovers an elixir for you and you are better, I will invite them to come here." He moved my hair and lifted my face, his dark eyes searching for mine. "What is troubling you, Seraphine?"

"Nothing."

It was surprising how Viktor perceived my nuances, no matter how much I disguised them. It was as if he could read my thoughts or had a special instinct for detecting my energies.

He said nothing for a few seconds, just observing me. His expression grew harder.

"Your she-wolf wants to come back."

"Alzira said I needed to connect with the elements, to balance myself. That it was temporary. I realized that when my emotions spiral out of control, she comes. It's strange, hard to hold back."

"And why did you lose control now?"

"I spoke with my aunt. I wanted her to come see me, but… she's afraid of you."

"It's normal. Humans have no idea that we exist, outside of here. Our territories are like something from another world. And when something comes to light, they fear it. With reason." His long fingers slowly caressed my face, and I settled better, rocked by his sight, his scent. "In the past, hunters came after us. Until we killed every one who dared, and they stopped showing up. As long as everyone respects their own space, it's fine."

"If I hadn't met you, lived here, I would never believe you exist. Are there other beings in the Tharnak too? Like vampires or some hybrid?"

Viktor stiffened slightly, his expression serious. He surprised me.

"Yes."

"My God! But here?"

"Nearby. Everywhere."

"Have I ever seen a vampire? Do you interact with them?"

"Not in our territory. We had battles in the past, but it was leading to a faster extinction of both species. A peace agreement was made. Each in its own corner."

I was shocked. If I didn't see the tension in Viktor, I would think he was joking with me. I felt a pang of fear, for the world seemed much vaster and more complex than I had thought.

I moved closer to him, knowing he would always protect me. I rubbed my face against the stubble on his hard jaw, intoxicated by his perfume. A strong desire began to spread across my skin, for he constantly awakened my senses, stirred me. I tried to focus on the conversation.

"Wizards exist too. There are the Ancients protected by magic; I saw what Elowen did, creating that energy like fire. It makes me wonder if my father wasn't also some hybrid of human and sorcerer. He read palms, had premonitions that came true, he was a great Shuvano."

"Perhaps a part of him was, but without doing magic. Or he was just a human sensitive to spirituality."

"I know my grandmother was a powerful Shuvani. And she taught all her knowledge to him. Who knows, if I had been raised in his house, my father might have taught me too."

"Would you like to be a witch?"

I ended up smiling.

"Until a few weeks ago, I never imagined I could be a she-wolf! I think that's enough as it is."

Viktor pulled me and kissed my mouth. That was enough to make me forget the world.

I grabbed him with that hunger that spread need through my being, leaving me shivering and ravenous for more. The heat grew, fierce, unrestrained. And I delighted in his tongue, his taste. Forgetting the rest of the world.

My nipples hardened, my vagina throbbed, already creamy and boiling. I wanted him hammering brutally inside me, to smother some of those flames that licked me mercilessly.

Viktor snarled, caressing my breasts, grabbing my nape. He threw me on the bed and tore off my nightgown. I went mad with his sucking on my nipples, his fingers burying inside me. I became a crazy, frenzied thing.

"Bite me..." I begged, rubbing myself against his teeth, wanting to feel the sting of pain alongside pleasure.
