275- Moment
POV Aldren Valmorin:
I’m almost your color—just a little dirtier, I barked, laughing in thought.
How do you feel now?
Here? As if the world and all its wickedness had ended, leaving only you and me, she answered, resting a paw on me.
There is something we need to do now. We will have plenty of time to remain in our wolves’ skin, but at this moment, I need you to focus on shifting back.
She purred, confused.
Are we in danger?
I lifted her head with my muzzle.
Come. Do exactly as I say. Hold your breath and think of your body in human form. Then lift both front paws upward.
All right. I will.
My female obeyed, her chest heaving as she raised both paws. Within seconds, her fur vanished, and in a flash of light she stood before me—naked and human.
The moment her blue, moonlit eyes met those of my beast, she wept. Drawing close, she ran her hand through my fur.
“I did not go a single day without begging the gods for you to find me,” she confessed through tears.
Desperate to embrace her, I stepped back on all fours, retreating from her touch, and returned to my human form.
We ran to each other, and I seized her, crushing her in my arms as if I would never be able to let her go. And perhaps I would not.
“I will destroy every single one who dared to throw stones at you.” With my face buried in the curve of her neck, I released the threat into her hair, intoxicated by her scent.
“Aldren…” she whispered, her voice thick.
I pulled my face away and held her cheeks, forcing her to look at me.
“Listen to what we are going to do now that you have transformed. I will mark you, and you will mark me in return. It is an order.”
Her dry lips parted in shock. It destroyed me to see her face so worn and sorrowful.
“Wait… mate?” she asked.
I nodded.
“But if they kill me, you—”
“A wolf only truly lives when he is ready to die. Without you there is no life, Elowen. If they dare to threaten your life, they will know they threaten mine as well.”
Her chin trembled, and tears streamed down her pale cheeks.
“B-but what if… what if I am a witch, like Samsara?”
My beast vibrated in my chest, and a furious growl rose from my throat.
Who told her about Samsara? How did she know?
“I do not need a pup to be certain you are my destined one. We will bind our blood and our souls now,” I decreed.
I released my fangs, signaling that I would carry out the plan.
Through tears, my female released hers as well. Her she-wolf purred, and my beast roared within me.
I pulled her onto my lap so she could reach my neck while I bit hers.
Her legs wrapped around my bare abdomen, and holding her firmly, I sank my fangs into her soft flesh. As I tasted her sweet blood, her retaliation struck me.
A wave of vibrant energy exploded between us. The conscious fusion of our essences. The warmth of her blood blended with mine, forming a bond that transcended flesh.
I felt a radiant light envelop us, as though every particle of my being were illuminated by the flame of her existence.
It was more than pain or pleasure; it was as if the Universe itself were weaving our destinies together, creating an unbreakable tie that would bind us forever.
“I feel everything from you, Elowen,” I murmured against her skin.
“And I from you… Aldren,” she replied, retracting her fangs. I lifted my face, and our gazes locked.
I wiped my blood from her mouth with the back of my hand before claiming her in a desperate kiss.
Our bodies relaxed and ignited at the same time. The kiss sealed the bond. Our promise of eternity.
We were not merely surviving the chaos around us—
we were being reborn from it.
Strong, unbreakable, and united.
“We need to go.” I pulled my lips from hers reluctantly, understanding that I needed to get my female out of there. Her blue eyes shimmered in confusion. “Press your breasts against me. I will cover the back with my hands.”
She did, wrapping her arms around my neck.
I walked out of that filthy hell, using my inhuman speed to reach the stairs before the prisoners in the distant cells could see her naked.
My guards opened a path and turned their faces away in respect.
“Follow me,” I ordered as I climbed the stairs.
Reaching the steps, I noticed the sentinels moving to try to stop me from leaving with Elowen, but it would be useless—my passage had been granted.
Upon entering the corridor, the elders who had eyes closed them at once when they noticed our nudity.
“How is she here? We released only your passage, son,” the eyeless one complained, turning his head as if he could see.
Elowen clung tighter to me, and I felt her fear on my own skin. She was afraid of them.
“We have mated. We are one now,” I roared loudly. “I need a chamber to bathe my female and make her decent. Order food to be brought to her, and later we will address this unfounded imprisonment. Right now, she needs to rest.” I drew in a breath, sharpening the threat in my voice. “Let it be clear—if you attempt to prevent me from taking my queen home, you will have to kill me to contain the destruction I will unleash.”
