Chapter 91

Eve..

Where am I?

I thought as I walked through the garden of beautiful flowers.

There were all kinds of flowers in this garden.

Peonies, lotus flowers, roses, hibiscus, all kinds.

They were beautiful but I wasn't moved by them. For some reason, they felt empty.

They didn't seem soulful like normal flowers. Maybe it was the lack of wind in this place or the lack of butterflies that made it look that way, I couldn't tell.

I walked around the garden until I found a bench to sit on.

I was really tired of walking about anyways.

"Jason.." I called out but I couldn't hear myself. It was as if I had lost my voice.

"Mom?" I tried calling out but it still didn't work.

"Grandma Nini?"

"Max!"

"Ethan!"

"Jade!"

I kept yelling out their names but my own voice wasn't sounding so how can they possibly hear me?

From the looks of things, I was definitely not kidnapped.

Because I don't think people would kidnap anyone and put them in a garden or greenhouse.

And it didn't seem like I was being watched by anything or anyone.

I raised up my head and looked up but there was no CCTV in here either so that means I was here all on my own.

"How did I get here then?" I thought.

I sighed heavily.

All I can remember is that I rolled down the stairs and fell unconscious.

The last thing I remember seeing was a pair of boots - a pair of black boots.

But what good will that do in this place?

A place like this is full of void and nothingness.

The more I looked at the flowers, the more they looked like paintings or sketches rather than real life things.

They felt like they were my imagination rather than a real thing.

It felt like I was dreaming in a way.

Or perhaps I was dying?

They say you see a lot of beautiful things before you die, perhaps this was my chance to see the prettiest thing before I leave this world for good.

How many times have I been in a near death situation anyways?

Why must I die?

Why do I always get into trouble?

I just want to have a happy life with the people I love, can't I atleast have that?

I sighed deeply as I was lost in thought until I heard a giggling sound. It sounded like a child's laughter.

There's a child in here?

I paused to be sure that what I'm hearing is for real and I'm not just hearing things and I heard it again.

This time, it was a bit louder.

I got up from the bench where I sat and I tried to trace the sound but I couldn't trace it because it sounded like it was coming from everywhere.

And it was becoming even louder and louder.

I held my head and fell to the floor.

Just what is going on?

Who's laughing and why am I this affected?

The laughter stopped after a short while and everywhere was peaceful again. I tried to get up from where I sat on the floor but my legs were weak. I heard a rustling sound coming from behind me and I turned to face it but nothing came.

I was feeling scared again. I know I'm being dramatic but perhaps this is their best strategy to kill me. To scare me to death. But it's not going to work. I promise you.

I struggled to get up from the floor and I managed to do so. I walked slowly back to the bench where I was sitting before and that's when I heard the giggling sound again.

Oh you must be kidding me!

The sound kept coming closer and closer. And I could hear small footsteps like the person was coming from behind me.

"Mommy, we have to go now." I heard a voice say behind me. The voice sounded like the voice of a toddler. That's if toddlers can form correct sentences.

"Mommy?" I mumbled unsure of what I just heard.

"Mommy, let's go home." The voice said again and I was deeply confused.

"Home?" I thought.

"What home?" I wondered.

"Home to where?" I said out loud and shockingly, I could hear my voice.

"Home to where daddy is, they're waiting for us." The voice said.

"Home to where daddy is?" I thought to myself.

Where is this home?

And who is this daddy?

And why am I the mommy?

It was confusing and surprising at the same time.

Although, I felt like I knew what was going on but I couldn't quite tell if I was right about my thought.

Or perhaps, I got sucked into a multiverse dimension where I'm already a mother with a kid and I'm married to someone other than Jason.

But that only happens in fanfictions or sci-fi movies. Not in real life.

So I was done with this bullshit!

I'm going to see who this kid is and tell the kid that I'm not his or her mother.

And that the only home I'm going to is Jason's home so whoever is playing this prank should be ready to send me home.

I gathered all the strength in my body to get up from the bench only to turn to the back and not find anyone standing there.

"What the fuck!" I yelled but my voice had gone once again.

You've gotta be kidding me.

I hissed and sat down on the bench again.

Whoever is playing this prank on me, just wait till I catch you. I'm gonna teach you never to mess with me ever again.

I felt a sharp pain on my arm and I screamed in pain.

Ouch! I screamed in pain and touched my arm but I couldn't feel anything there. The pain I felt was equivalent to being stung by a bee or bitten by a wild animal.

"Mommy, save me!" I heard that voice cry out loud and even though I couldn't pinpoint where I was hearing the voice from and the voice didn't have a face, I still felt the need to save whoever it was. But whatever bit me or stung me was working fast because I was already falling unconscious.

And once again, I blacked out on the bench.

But the moment I opened my eyes again, I knew that all that I saw before was simply a dream and this was in fact real life.

I looked to my side only to meet a face I would recognize even in my sleep.

"Just what do you think you are doing to me?" I asked loud enough so the person could hear me.

The look on the person's face was priceless because the person was stunned to see that I was awake.

The injection in the person's hands dropped to the floor and the person dashed out of the room in fear but I wasn't going to let my killer run away so I screamed with all my might.

"Catch that nurse!!" I screamed so loud that I was sure the whole hospital might have heard. I don't know where I got all the strength but I did.
