Chapter 110 Chapter 0110

•NATASHA•

“I’ve handled Daphne. She won’t be a problem in our lives anymore.” Clyde informed me when he came to my hotel room.

After we found Kyle in a building she rented, Clyde and I got her arrested and were attending her case, ensuring she gets locked up for a long time and for defamation of character when she tried to lie against me to Clyde and Richard.

“Thank you, baby.” I wrapped my arms around him and sniffed. “There’s still nothing about Richard and Susan. What I know is that they were sleeping together when they captured them, but whoever took them didn’t ask for money. They think she’s the Wilson heiress.”

I pulled away from him and sat on the couch as I turned off the TV.

Nothing could explain the betrayal I felt from someone I trusted. Susan was like a sister to me, and I talked about almost everything with her.

She managed my life, and I never thought she would do something like that behind my back, especially when she was the one who didn’t want me to help Richard with his company.

She made me believe she didn’t trust Richard and wouldn’t get along with him even if we fixed things.

There were signs when she suddenly turned against me when we found out Daphne had taken Kyle, and I ignored them because she assured me she was doing everything to protect me.

“They’ve got to know by now that you’re Natasha Wilson and put her up for the role because you wanted to hide your identity.” He sat beside me and placed his hand on my thigh.

“Andrea will find out soon. He has connections, and I fear he might involve our son to get back at me.” I looked at him and sighed.

“We won’t allow him to do that. We must make a plan to protect Kyle from all of this,” he said, taking my hand.

“I plan to get full custody of my son and will return to New York with him. My lawyer told me I could move into my father’s house because he found his letter, which had DNA tests inside about his kids with his wife, and it turns out they aren’t his kids. He died before knowing the truth, and maybe he suspected that when he gave everything to me.”

“That explains why Mary got arrested. She mentioned the letter contained the DNA tests of the three siblings. How did they take it when they heard the news?”

“They threatened me, but I am Bruce’s only daughter, so they can’t do anything to me.”

“I’m here, I’ll protect you,” he smiled as he leaned over and kissed my forehead. “Did you tell Kyle about New York and your inheritance?”

“I was hoping we could tell him together everything, including that you’re his father. It’s time he knew the truth.”

“Are you sure?” he huffed.

“I am sure, Clyde. You saved him. He should know his father saved his life from Daphne.”

While we were talking, my cell phone beeped, and I received a text from Andrea, telling me he was done with Richard and Susan and was coming for me.

I showed the text to Clyde, and though I knew he wouldn’t do anything to me, my heart skipped a beat since my son was still not with me.

“I need to get my son out of this place, Clyde. Andrea is as dangerous as Roman was, and I don’t want to risk my son’s life.”

“I won’t let him do anything to you, and Kyle. You must trust me on that. I’ll protect you both with my life.”

\[A YEAR LATER\]

“Daddy! Catch me!” Kyle screamed as he ran to the pool, and Clyde chased after him.

I chuckled as I watched my husband and son playing during our vacation to the Maldives.

I was five months pregnant and feeling like I was in my last trimester.

Finally, I was at peace. The Wilson Empire prospered and doubled its net worth.

“Ah, finally, I’m on my first vacation.” My mother breathed as she sat beside me, and I chuckled.

“This is my first vacation as well. I couldn’t have had one without my son, and it’s funny how I’m having my first vacation with both my children.” I looked at my stomach and caressed it.

“Things turned out better than we had expected, didn’t they?” She looked at me and smiled.

“That’s right. I couldn’t have predicted things would end up this way. One year ago, I thought Andrea and Lorene would get me and get rid of me as they had planned.”

“They were stupid for coming after you. They will rot in jail now for murder and two counts of attempted murder.”

I took my mother’s hand and kissed her palm. If it weren’t for her, I wouldn’t have gone through most of the things alone.

She really tried to mend our relationship after she had been away all my life. She sacrificed so much for us to get where we were, and I was grateful.

“Thank you, Mom, for being there for me. I know I made things difficult for you at first because I was angry for not being in my life, but you sacrificed so much for us to be here today, and I thank you for that.”

“Thank you for giving me a chance, baby. We wouldn’t have gotten this far if you hadn’t forgiven me and given me a cool job to be your assistant.”

We chuckled as the attendant came over with drinks and fruit. Clyde and Kyle also came over, panting after chasing each other around the beach house.

Mary got up and went to the pool with Kyle when she saw Clyde sitting beside me and kissing my bump.

“Our second child. Do you think it’s a girl?” He looked up at me.

“I wouldn’t mind another boy. It helps to have little protectors around the house, though they can be noisy and troublesome.”

“I hope for a girl who will look like you and have your eyes. A boy and a girl would be all our family needs.”

“Just two kids?” I groaned, throwing my head back. “I thought we agreed on four.”

“Four?” He chuckled. “I guess it wouldn’t be bad having four rascals in the house.”

We chuckled as he cupped my face and kissed me.

“I love you, Clyde. Thank you for our first night at the club. If our paths hadn’t intertwined, we wouldn’t be here today.”

“I love you, Natasha. I love you with all my heart.”
