Chapter 112: "GYM"
Byron:
Knocking pulled us from the darkness, rubbing my eyes as Lea shifted, hiding under the pillows as I slid from the bed. Slipping on my clothes laid out last night on the white leather chair by the bedroom door. Cracking the door as I made my way through the classic modern living room.
“House Keeping.” A muffled, mocked woman’s voice called from the door with another round of knocking.
“Morning, Kolt.” I laughed with a light hitch as Kolt slipped into the living room of our suite, making hast of starting the coffee.
“So much for relaxing.” Storm grumbled from the shadows as a large yawn slipped past my lips, stretching my body free of the remaining sleepy haze.
“I figured we could hit the gym for a few hours, before our final fitting.” Kolt laughed softly, handing me a large mug of steaming dark roast mixing some sugar and creamer, before taking my first swig.
Knowing that was his code talk for “Business”, not wanting the girls to worry about our side plan while in Vegas.
“Morning, Kolt.” Lea spoke softly as her yawn overtook her movements with a deep stretch of her limbs.
“Morning, soon-to-be-sister-in-law.” Kolt wiggled his brows playfully as he poured her a glass of OJ from the fridge.
“Astoria should be here shortly.” She laughed gently as she slid into the bar stool at the raised island bar, rubbing her hips with a twisted expression.
“Already here beautiful.” Astoria laughed lightly from the door, quickly sliding into the stool next to Lea, sipping their morning OJ with bright smiles.
“This is why we came a day early.” Kolt linked with a wide smile as the girls sat peacefully at the bar, giggling between themselves.
They had a hand on each other’s belly, smiling and cooing as me and Kolt stood silently watching their happy expressions.
“So, everyone should be arriving around noon, and we were thinking about meeting up for lunch after our final fittings.” I spoke smoothly, leaning on the island lifting Lea’s hand to my lips as her eyes grew brighter with the gentle kiss I placed on her ring.
“Yeah, Mama Eve will be here in an hour, or so, to do our final fittings as well.” Lea smiled brightly from her glass of OJ with a wink.
“Mama Eve.” Storm purred at the sound of her name rolling gently from Lea’s lips.
Finishing our coffee as we walked around the island, kissing them on the cheeks before heading down to meet up with our “Shadows”.
“Our Tux fitting is in two hours, so we’ll meet up in the lobby shortly after that.” I laughed softly as Lea gave me a perked brow, scrunching up her nose.
“Fine.” She pouted playfully as we slipped out the door, taking the elevator down to the ground level.
Hooking a quick right, passing the Luxury Spa as we entered “Conference Room 2” greeted with bright smiles and “hoots” from the small hoard of “Shadows”.
“Morning!” They spoke in unison as another steaming mug of coffee was handed to us with firm nods of “Thanks”.
“Okay, the girls are meeting with “Mom” in an hour for their final fittings. So, Randi and Justin are to “Shadow” them for extra security. Ace and Aeros are calculated in their attacks, so if anything seems out of place, get them out.” I spoke firmly as Randi and Justin stood at attention in plan clothes, looking like a couple of regulars.
“We’re literally in their backyard, so be prepared for anything.” Kolt exhaled darkly as dark grunts sounded from the mass of “Shadows”.
“Lenny is picking up the rest from the airport in an hour. King Jack already has his select few “Elites” assigned to watch over Celia and Rija, while we finish up our Tux fittings, but I want a “Shadow” assigned to each girl also, just for added security.” I spoke more relaxed as a solid knock sounded behind us.
Draven stepped in with three strapping young men, identical in features but each had their own personal presence.
“Draven, good to see you again.” I spoke firmly as we shook hands, nodding with smiles.
“Byron. Kolt. Meet my grandsons Birgir, Davyn, and Mikkel Silverfang.” Draven motioned to each one with a sly smirk etched across his face.
“Oh, the famous “Trouble Three”.” Kolt laughed darkly as they perked curious brows at us, flashing mischievous smirks.
“Don’t be pissing on legs now.” I linked him with a smirk as his eyes flashed a curious glint.
“The famous “Stormcloud Brothers”.” Birgir smirked darkly with his clean shaved jawline and piercing emerald eyes that were highlighted by his dry pushed back quiff of black locks.
“Birgir.” Draven warned with a stern undertone.
“Sorry, grandpa.” Birgir slid his hands into his jean pockets, rocking back onto his biker boot heels, flexing his chiseled chest muscles beneath his black shirt.
“Byron. Kolt. Good to meet you. Grams spoke highly of you two.” Mikkel laughed lightly as he shook our hands with a bright boyish smirk emphasized by his short, detailed goatee and high and tight fade.
“Nice to me you both.” Davyn spoke gruffly as he dominated our shakes, sizing us up with an evil smirk and his classic short crew-cut faded into his clean lined beard.
“Cocky Bastard.” Kolt linked with a short laugh as Davyn perked his brow at Kolt.
“Thank you.” He replied mockingly, causing Kolt to snap his gaze to me with a questioning expression.
“Enough “Dick” measuring, this is family business and there is no need for extra stress. Do I make myself clear?” Draven spoke with a dark rasp as the boys nodded their heads in a firm understanding.
“Just had to see what Lea and Astoria are dealing with.” Mikkel laughed lightly as he walked over to the coffee pot, motioning to the other two if they wanted any.
“Hah. If they survived “Grams” then they are already family in my book.” Davyn laughed heartily as he crossed his arms over his broad chest.
“Yeah, she wasn’t the warmest greeting the first time around.” I laughed darkly as Storm grumbled from the shadows at the comment.
“So, what are the plans?” Birgir spoke firmly as he studied the “Shadows” watching our exchange of greetings.
“Lenny is picking up the rest at the airport as we speak, and the girls should be doing their final fittings with our mom.” Kolt spoke calmly as he looked over his shoulder from the table, examining a blueprint Lexi sent to his email.
“Have you filled them in on the situation?” I asked Draven with a dark smirk forming across his lips.
“You mean do they know about “Madam” and her twin sadist sons. Yes, I have.” Draven huffed a dark growl and a small flicker of purple fire.
“Extinguisher! Aisle “Pissed Dragon”.” Storm laughed darkly with Kolt as the boys smirked with raised brows.
“That “Bitch” and her sidekick Victor, locked our folks and grands up in that cave dungeon, so yeah, we know about them.” Mikkel shuttered darkly with a dark jowl rumble.
“Easy. Her time is ending abruptly.” Kolt patted Mikkel’s shoulder with a twisted smirk of amusement.
“We want them to come to us, so we are going to be prepared for their arrival.” I spoke firmly as everyone nodded in agreement.
“Now, we have Tux fittings to attend.” Kolt laughed lightly as he looked at his watch, tapping the glass face with a smirk.
“I wanted to “Thank you” for everything.” I shook Draven’s hand with a bright smile.
“Pleasure is all mine. Those kids are as much our family as we are family to them. This is just a small gesture for everything their family has given us.” Draven spoke with a broken rasp as the boys patted his broad shoulders.
“Don’t get him emotional. It’s not pretty.” Birgir laughed lightly as Draven pulled the three boys into his embrace.
“How’s Onyx?” Draven asked softly as his smile widened.
“You can see for yourself at the wedding.” I spoke proudly, feeling like a big brother to her in some way, being that the majority of my family were once kids without families.
Kolt’s bright smile only confirmed the feeling more.
“Okay, if you need anything this is our direct number, and where we’re staying currently.” Mikkel handed me a black business card with gold embossed lettering “Blackfang Enterprises” on the front and handwritten address and number on backside.
“Instead of getting into trouble tonight, join us at Club Jewel here in the hotel. Just tell them you’re with us.” Birgir smiled brightly as the brotherly affection began to show with them huddling together.
“Right. Sounds good. Lea and Astoria are pregnant, so I would feel better knowing we were close to our rooms.” Kolt grabbed my shoulder firmly, smiling as the brothers’ smirks grew in intensity, wiggling their brows.
“Yeah, we know too well about “pregnancy” hormones.” They laughed darkly as Draven cleared his throat with a perked brow.
“Oh, come on Gramps! You of all people know how intense they can get.” Davyn spoke with a husky hitch as the three shared a silent comment with evil smirks.
“Oh, like you “three” would know. Virgins.” Draven rebutted darkly as the three scowled at his remark.
“They’re eighty years old, and “Virgins”. Oh, this is hilarious.” Kolt linked darkly as Rune and Storm howled in laughter.
“We need to get going, but we’ll definitely meet up later tonight.” I laughed lightly as the Dragons huffed and puffed among themselves as we slipped out the room.
Laughing lightly as we made our way to the in-house tailer for our final fittings.
