Chapter 105
Her shock only multiplied, but she kept holding that gun, her watery hand clutched around it.
"Yo, you were right...War. I wasn't expecting this shocker" Konstantin said, the cutlass in his hand shinning with the moonlight and his cigar smokes blowing with the chill sea wind.
"Is this what they call bloody betrayal?" Ashton said, sticking out his red tongue.
"I'mma finna write an history of this scene at this rate, you're smart" Capri nodded, pointing his magazine at Matron with an amusing smile.
Matron clutched the gun tighter, her insides shivering with flu as her eyes refused to leave Konstantin's cutlass.
Warren stayed silent, and that scared her more as their eyes met—Warren's jaws grinded.
It all started when he smelled tobacco on her.
The 24th birthday he spent at the family house, he investigated her throughout that day.
When she was in the BB bathroom, he entered her room and connected his phone with hers, so he was able to receive every call she received and trace her roots.
"You supplied chemicals and injections to Hawke in jail, same products I was nearly killed with. You're the leader of a child trafficking ring? I've known about the existence of it since years ago but I never made a move to investigate cos I was uninterested. But now it turned out to be you? You influenced Elder Creed to let me rot in jail? Why? So you could have his wealth? You colluded with Mrs. Ortega too!!!" Warren growled.
"Yes!!! I never liked you!! The fake love I gave you? It was to buy your trust! I have no emotions for anyone but my son Romeo!! I hate the sight of you especially when I was breastfeeding you!!! You don't even know how disgusting you are, do you? You were born with incomplete brain cells and just 15 percent sanity so you're literally a madman roaming the streets! And about the wealth? Yes I want it! I do!!! Why else would I sit with a lunatic like you!! I colluded with Hawke to ruin you forever, and the plan was to destroy all your senses till you become a fuckin imbecile, but he was only able to tamper with your sense of taste and your shaking sanity!! I wanted to make you a walking dead!!" Matron combusted dementedly, her veins popping madly on her neck and eyes.
Warren's veins are playing too, on his forearms and bloody eyes as anger razed him to ashes.
He looked beside him, and Konstantin angrily threw the cutlass at him which he caught.
Not on the handle, but on the blade.
He caught the cutlass blade, and it hurt his palm deeply, but he turned it around to hold the handle.
Matron quickly pulled her gun trigger, firing him on the arm, but that was all she could do.
Warren swung the abnormally sharp cutlass to her legs, cutting them off like they're sticks.
The legs fell away from her body, and her half-body fell on the dork ground as her blood pumped and stained Warren's face like fleet.
"Nyahhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!" Her teeth-gnashing yell was traumatic as it shook the dork to the depth of the sea.
"Mum!!!" Romeo ran out of his hiding place.
"Mum!!!" Bethel ran out of her hiding place too.
Mercilessly, Warren brought the cutlass down to Matron's chest, and Bethel fainted on her run.
"Mother!!!!!" Romeo howled.
"Don't do that, it's risky"
"Give me the scalpel, Warren"
"Your classmates complain you never talk to them, and they're scared of how your eyes are always empty"
"Can you try to smile?"
"Where did you get ecstasy pills from? Warren!"
"You're just 12, you can't start doing drugs, please Warren!"
Those statements were roaring in Warren's head as he stood on the dork with the bloody cutlass, staring down at Matron's butchered body with blood-streaked eyes.
Those were the words she spoke to him while raising him since young.
Those were the kind of utterances he grew up hearing from her while taking her as his mother even when she's not.
He created an illusion for himself that even if his runaway mother comes back, he'd never take her.
He'd tell her to go to hell and show her Matron, his deserving mother.
And yes...his plan was to steal her away from Romeo completely.
That's how crazily obsessed he was with her motherly care.
But now...now it vanished, leaving nothing but hate and loathe in his nutty chest.
His friends were looking at him like a new Warren, but the satisfaction in their eyes showed.
Ashton moved to the kids and unwrapped the ropes they were tied with, releasing them.
Capri helped him, and when they were done, the kids ran off.
Romeo's cries went a pitch higher as he fell on his knees.
Bethel is still on the ground, passed out.
Amidst the tears, blood, hate, and cries, ... Matron suddenly gurgled and laughed faintly on the ground despite the cutlass slash on her chest.
"You...think...this is the end? It's far from over, Warren,"
She foamed from the mouth before continuing...
"You don't feel like I intentionally gave myself to your wrath? I knew this day would come, I knew I'd die by your hands!...I knew.. I'd get caught one day, so I've always been prepared for death" she smiled.
"But...yunno what? A bigger villain...the real villain of your existence is lurking around, and immediately I take my last breath, she's coming. You better be ready, she's just like you...born with incomplete insanity... you'd die fatally, Warren. You can't escape that fate" she gurgled again, a tear riding out of her eyes as her neck lulled to Romeo's angle.
She smiled bitterly at him, and Romeo covered his mouth with a palm as she faced Warren again...
"My legacy will continue, I have more than enough offsprings, and don't be surprised when this city gets soaked in blood...and gore" she said, and Warren raised the cutlass again.
Romeo stood and tried running to Warren, but Capri kicked him, and he fell back as Warren's cutlass met Matron's neck this time.
Her head flew away from her neck, rolling to Bethel.
The force of the landing woke her up, and immediately she saw he'd mother's head, she fainted again.
Romeo couldn't stand from his spot, his tears were raining down his eyes as Warren threw the cutlass to the ground.
The blood dripping from Warren's face could probably paint a mansion.
He brought his fingers to his face face and wiped the one on his cheekbone, then he brought the bloody fingers to his lips, staining it there before turning around.
Without bothering to push back the hair on his face or wipe the blood under his shoes, he began walking out of the dork, and his friends followed.
Romeo's cries filled the dork like an orphan's cry for help, and the pitch woke Bethel up again.
She sat up, joining him as the air turned chillier, and a heavy rain started.
They didn't leave the dork.
It was on that heavy rain that Clover arrived in a wagon, and when he saw what has happened, his arms dropped.
He fell on his knees with wide eyes and mouth.
