Chapter 175 Ramses

Chapter 175 Ramses
Emerald’s POV-

The private jet landed at the Palace’s private airport; a car was ready and waiting for us. The ride from the private airport to the Palace was about ten minutes. We pulled up to the Palace where Alsie, Osiris, Evander, Andrew, Kane, Declan, Dante, Benji, and Reilly lived.

“Home, sweet, home.” Andrew said, as he exited the vehicle and stretched his arms over his head.

It was beautiful. The palace was a huge palace-sized, modern, luxury home, with large floor-to-ceiling windows, lots of glass, spacious decks and balconies, and a relaxing rooftop garden full of greenery and flowers. The house has clean modern lines, beautiful landscaping, flowerbeds, evergreen trees, a horseshoe driveway, large wooden front doors, simple wrought-iron, gas lanterns, and hanging planters, adorn the outside. The place had an overall elegant, high-end feel to it.

“It’s gorgeous, but not what I was expecting.” I said, honestly.

Andrew chuckled behind me, “You were expecting an actual castle?”

I turned and looked at Andrew, “Actually, yes. Something Victorian, with conical roofs and torrents.”

Andrew shook his head and smiled, “Human, this is America, I don’t think America has any actual castles.”

“Werewolf, this is the land of the Supernatural. There are vampires, and your kind, why can’t there be castles too?”

Andrew laughed and threw his arm around my shoulders, “Come on mate, let’s go inside.”

We walked inside the large wooden front doors, and into the foyer. There was a beautiful chandelier hanging from the cathedral ceiling, two sets of staircases, one on each side of the foyer, white marble floors with veins of grey and royal blue running all throughout them. The banisters of the staircases were dark brown, almost purple, black-walnut shined and stained to a high gloss. Your eyes immediately followed the flow of the staircases to the upper level where a veranda overlooked the main entrance.

The inside of the Royal home was every bit as breathtaking as the outside. A small commotion brought me back to reality.

“Come here, you little stinker. I’m not going to continue to chase you! What has gotten into you today?” I heard a woman say, slightly out of breath and by the sounds of it, running.

“Just let me see, then I’ll come back.” A small voice said.

“You know the rules, no running inside, please don’t make me call for the Queen. Ramses, I’m not playing, get back here!”

I turned and looked in the direction of the voices and a small child with chocolate skin, turquoise eyes, and dark brown, wavy, hair with copper highlights came barreling into the foyer, crashed into my legs, and stood behind me. He was followed by a middle-aged woman, who was out of breath and looked tired.

The woman stopped dead in her tracks and bowed. “Royal Alpha Andrew, I apologize.”

Alsie cleared her throat from the veranda, “No need to apologize, Emily. Clearly heir Ramses has forgotten the rule of running in the house.”

I was trying to take everything in and make sense of this little boy who was clinging to the back of my legs like he knew me and I could protect him.

“I did not. I just wanted to be the first one to meet my 2nd mom. I have that right; I am the oldest.” The little voice standing behind me said.

I froze. I turned my head to try and look at this child. “Uh, what now?”

The little boy walked around to stand in front of me, one of his hands never leaving my leg. “I’m Ramses, I am the oldest, it’s only by a few minutes, but still, I’m the oldest. You are pretty and you are the pretty human lady who is my second mom.”

I reached down and picked up the toddler. “Ramses, I’m going to need more information.”

“Oh, did you not know you’re human? Did I tell you a secret? Sometimes I tell secrets on accident.”

I chuckled, “No. I know I’m human. I need more information on this second mom thing. I’m a little confused, see I just met you and you seem to know more about me, than I know about you.”

“I’m 3 years, 10 months, and 18 days old. My name is Ramses, but I told you that already. Osiris is my dad, but I have eight dads, and my mom, my number one mom is a Queen. You’re my number two mom, you’re a human, and all my dads really love you, even Kane. I think Kane loves you the most, and he’s a little scary. My number one mom says she loves you too, but you’re a little scared to love her because you’re both girls.”

“Ok.” My head was spinning; my mind was going in a million different directions. I know I said I wanted to meet all of Alsie’s children, but this little guy was coming on strong and spilling all the tea. “That’s a lot of information, Ramses.”

“You said you needed more information. I’m happy I have two moms. Silas, LeStat, Elliot, Edward, Elijah, Malik, Brayden, Bryon, Corey, DeShawn, Draven, Magnus, Setu, & Amr are excited to meet you too. They’re a little scared about having two moms, but we all like having eight dads.”

I looked over at Andrew and all he did was smile and shrug his shoulders. “You know your dad is Osiris, but you keep telling me you have eight dads.”

Ramses nodded his head and lowered his voice, “Don’t tell anyone but we all know who are dad’s really are. We like having eight dads and we like that they are all confused about us.”

A few small gasps, followed by quiet laughter rippled through the foyer and the veranda. I guess Ramses didn’t know about werewolf, Lycan and vampire hearing.

“It’s our secret.” I said quietly. I set Ramses down; he immediately grabbed my hand and started tugging me in the direction he came running into the foyer from.

“Hold on a second, Ramses. Emerald, and all of us adults have some business we need to tend to. She’ll be staying for a while, and we will all have dinner together.” Declan’s voice boomed down from the veranda.

Ramses looked up at Declan and stuck his little tongue out, “Fine. But don’t hog my mom, you can’t keep her all to yourself. That’s not fair.”

I bent down and tapped the toddler on the shoulder, “Apologize for sticking your tongue out. That was disrespectful and I don’t think you are a disrespectful wolf.”

Ramses glared at me, but he apologized to Declan. After he apologized, I said, “Good. Now, I’ll make you a deal. Follow Emily’s instructions and if she tells me, you were a good little Alpha wolf, I’ll sit by you at dinner.”

I watched as Ramses’s eyes lit up, “You swear it?”

“I swear it.”

“Deal. Thank you, mom, Emerald.” Ramses said as he squeezed my legs and walked over to Emily, who I am assuming was one of the royal nannies.

All I could do was shake my head and smile. He was adorable, but we were definitely having a conversation about this second mom thing.
