Chapter 16 An Allergic Reaction Indeed!
Chapter Sixteen
Aria walked right in, pulling a carrier bag and her luggage right behind her.
Lucian watched her with a dark frown, “What are you doing?” He asked darkly.
His heart was beating fast and he did not know if it was from anger or… relief?
Relief because she hadn’t left?
No, that’s not it.
What the hell?
He’d only just met this woman so he could not be having those kinds of feelings for her.
He shook his head to clear those silly thoughts, then frowned even more darkly, in a bid to convince himself.
“I said, what are you doing back here? I told you to leave,” he asked, his tone colder, “I want nothing to do with a woman like you, Aria Beaumont, so get out.”
Aria ignored him completely.
She closed the door casually with her foot and walked right into the walk in closet to the left.
“Wow, you have a lot of great designer stuff in here,” she called out from inside the closet, “Great taste.”
Lucian gritted his teeth in frustration because he could not get up and drag her out of the room.
Even though he was awake now, his body which had been bedridden for years was weak. He could barely lift his legs not to talk of walking around the room.
Hell, he could not even sit up.
He could only stew in anger as he listened to Aria rifle through his things. He was severely germaphobic and he hated being touched by any random person or people going through his things.
Aria walked out of the closet, holding up a charcoal colored designer suit. She brandished it before him, a puzzled look on her face, “This only came out last year. How come it’s in your closet?”
“Mother placed them there,” he responded gruffly, “I’m warning you. Get out.”
Aria started nodding in understanding, then stopped suddenly, narrowing her eyes at him, “Wait…and how did you know that?”
Lucian blinked, “What?”
She tilted her head to the side, puzzlement etched on her features, “How did you know mother placed the clothes in the closet?”
Lucian swallowed, then turned away from her, “Then, who else would put it in there? Me?”
He could not let her know he had been covertly conscious the whole three years he was lying on the bed.
He knew how his mother came to his room and spent most of her day by his bedside.
He knew how she wept everyday for him and how his heart goes out to her.
He knew how she always made sure his things were well arranged and kept in order in case he’d ever wake up to need them.
He was not sharing that piece of information with Aria now, and if she did not believe him, then she could go to hell.
Aria thought about it for a minute and then decided that he was right. Only Madam Graves would be the one to do things like that for her son.
He had guessed right.
It wasn’t like he had an out of the body experience or something.
He glanced at her coldly and snarled, “What are you still standing there for?! Get out!”
Aria smirked, “We are married now, dear husband. This is my room now so…,” she gave him a bright smile, “…deal with it.”
Lucian was alarmed, “What?! you can’t do that “
Aria scoffed, “Watch me.”
She opened her suitcase and started pulling out her clothes, intent on placing them in the closet.
“From today, we will be sharing this room as a married couple.” She uttered, giving him an evil smile, “We will also be sharing the bed together as well, so get ready for a blissful wedding night, my dear hubby.”
She winked, then blew him a kiss, giggling her head off at his discomfort.
Lucian watched from the bed, his eyes almost bulging out of his head, “No! Wait! Damn you, woman!” He yelled, “I can’t share a room with anyone! Not to talk of sharing a bed with you!”
Aria paused, “Why? Afraid that I will jump you? Or…” She asked, arching an eyebrow at him, clearly enjoying the way she was teasing him, “…are you afraid you won’t be able to perform well? Hehehe.”
Lucian spluttered in outrage as his ears turned red instantly, “You do not know what you’re talking about.” He said through gritted teeth, “I’m severely germaphobic and especially allergic to women like you! Get out!”
Aria stood up, throwing the clothes in her hand back to the suitcase harshly.
This gesture made him jump a little, and he swallowed hard as his eyes met her blazing green ones.
She blinked and the cold look was gone, replaced by a sly one.
All of a sudden , he was afraid of this woman.
Aria crossed her arms, and started walking towards him, smiling like a cat.
Lucian swallowed hard, “What are you doing?” He growled, his heart beating fast, “Don’t come any closer! Stop! And don’t smile like that!
For some reason, he could not get his eyes away from this woman.
Aria looked breathtakingly beautiful with that seductive grin on her face and he could feel his body…tingling?
Oh, hell naw.
“You don’t want to share your bed with me, hmmm?” She drawled.
She slowly climbed on to the bed, crawling on all fours, while Lucian watched her his breath coming out in shudders.
Aria tilted her head, then trailed a finger down his body.
She arched an eyebrow appreciatively at his body, which was hard and well toned underneath his shirt.
Impressive.
“Don’t touch me!” He gritted in frustration, turning his head away from her.
“An allergic reaction, is it?” She cooed, placing a finger under his chin and turning his head back towards her, “Let’s see that reaction, shall we?”
Lucian held his breath, as her hand trailed further down and he reached to grab a hold of it, “Stop!”
But he was too late.
Aria gasped softly as her hands brushed the hard bulge in his pants, right before he grabbed a hold of her hand.
“Oh my God!”
She pulled her hand back, quickly got up from the bed, and stumbled backwards, her eyes wild with shock.
