Chapter 11

Upon hearing Louis's words, Harry burst out laughing like he'd just heard the world's funniest joke.

"Mr. Stone, Do you really want a loose cannon to treat Ms. Stone? I'd say kick him out right now! Don't fall for his crap."

Harry shot Albert a look full of mockery and disdain.

Before he could go on, Albert raised his hand and cut him off coldly, "Dr. Brooks, he's a friend I invited."

Harry was stunned, staring at Albert in disbelief.

He suddenly realized Albert wasn't acting on a whim but had thought this through.

Could it be that this young guy, who spoke so bluntly, actually had some special skills?

Louis stood by the bed, looking at the deeply comatose Zara, calm and composed. He pulled out a recovery stone from his pocket, a healing artifact he'd made ages ago using ancient witchcraft. This stone, with its ancient power, could cure a bunch of diseases.

He brought it along because he heard Lucy had been in a car accident and thought it might come in handy.

Luckily, it did.

Behind him, Harry watched with a smirk, sneering, "Kid, you really think you can cure Ms. Stone's stomach cancer with that rock?"

He was damned if it could work.

"Mr. Stone, I gotta tell you, this guy's a fraud. Don't fall for his sweet talk."

But as soon as Harry finished and met Albert's gaze, he felt a chill run down his spine.

"Dr. Brooks, I'm telling you one last time, if you show the slightest disrespect to him today, you're offending me!"

Albert's gaze was sharp as a blade, leaving no room for argument.

Harry could only shake his head and sigh inwardly, 'If Albert trusts him, then Zara's probably beyond saving.'

Harry had no idea Louis could tell Zara had stomach cancer just from the faint smell of medicinal residue.

With no more interruptions, Louis smiled slightly and calmly began to massage Zara's entire body.

He placed the recovery stone on the bedside table and gently pressed Zara's wrist with one hand.

Seeing Louis's actions, Harry almost burst out laughing again, still full of disdain.

He didn't even bother to hide his lack of respect. He wanted to see what tricks Louis had up his sleeve!

As Louis lifted his hand, he gently pressed Zara's abdominal muscles with his other hand, with precise angles.

His expression was focused, and his movements were smooth and fluid.

Harry's initial smirk slowly faded as he watched the precise massage.

With each precise movement, Harry's face stiffened in shock.

"How... how is this possible!"

He pointed excitedly at the spot where Louis was massaging, his eyes trembling slightly.

He couldn't help but glance at the medical instrument's display, his heart skipping a beat as Zara's pulse fluctuations gradually stabilized, and the tumor activity indicators on the screen showed a faint dimming trend.

For the third and fourth times, Louis continued his actions, each move seemingly awakening Zara's potential and reactivating her body's cells.

Harry stared at Louis, watching his fingers move gently like he was guiding some kind of mysterious energy.

Once this energy entered Zara's muscles, it seemed to connect with her internal energy and blood.

"No way!"

Harry's eyes widened in shock as he glanced back at the monitor, seeing the cancerous areas shrinking right before his eyes.

The bright spots indicating cancer cell spread seemed to be suppressed by some mysterious energy in Louis's massage technique, gradually dimming and disappearing.

Harry's mind was racing, and he took a step back, eyes wide, and pitched himself to see he wasn't dreaming.

Suddenly, he remembered something about an ancient massage technique.

"Ethereal Balance Massage!"

This wasn't just any massage; it involved specific pressure and techniques to mobilize the body's self-healing abilities, combined with special inner energy skills, to activate cell activity and inhibit cancer cell spread.

Ethereal Balance Massage could not only stop cancer cell growth but also "seal" damaged cells, giving normal cells space to grow.

This ancient technique was thought to be lost, only mentioned in fragments in old medical texts for its magic and mystery.

Harry never imagined he'd witness it in person today. He thought, 'Who is this guy?'

As Louis performed the fifth massage, Zara's pale face began to show a delicate flush of color.

Harry couldn't believe it. The fact revealed before him just proved his years of ignorance.

"Could that ordinary-looking stone on the bedside be the legendary medical stone from ancient times?" He thought out loud.

Everything before him exceeded Harry's understanding, and the mystery of ancient witchcraft made his heart race as if Louis was indeed a legendary top doctor.

Louis retracted his hands, slowly stood up, and placed his last palm on Zara's forehead, dissipating the last trace of deathly aura from her body.

Zara slowly opened her eyes, her breathing much steadier.

She fluttered her eyelids as if reassuring Albert that she felt better.

Albert couldn't help but clench his hands, tears welling up in his eyes, his suppressed emotions collapsing at this moment, almost choking, "Miracle! My sister is saved!"

"Here's the prescription for the next phase of treatment. Go get the medicine for her." Louis nodded slightly, calmly wrote a prescription, and handed it to Albert, as if treating late-stage cancer was just a routine matter for him.

"Mr. Windsor, thank you so much." Albert, holding the prescription, was overwhelmed with emotion, almost kneeling before Louis.

The Stone family had used their connections to seek out the best doctors worldwide, but after several rounds of chemotherapy, there was no effect on Zara's condition.

Unexpectedly, in this small corner of Sunshine City, there was a doctor as skilled as Louis.

Louis, with an indifferent expression, waved his hand, "No need to thank me. It's a doctor's duty to save a life. By the way, can I leave now? Do I still need to stay in your house as a servant?"

Albert was momentarily stunned.

Zara, lying on the bed, almost burst into laughter.

"I'm sorry, Mr. Windsor. I was rude before. You can come and go as you wish. Please, this way!" Albert quickly apologized and respectfully led the way for Louis.

"Mr. Windsor, right? I was wrong about you, and I feel very sorry!" Harry couldn't hide his surprise and shame, blocking Louis with a noticeably softened attitude.

Louis glanced at him lightly, then observed Zara's complexion. Seeing no issues, he said in a particularly relaxed tone, "I'm used to it."

Harry felt a lump in his throat, deeply impressed by Louis's character, as if Louis possessed a rare magnanimity and maturity.

Despite his guilt, Harry asked respectfully, "Mr. Windsor, the massage technique you used just now, was it the Ethereal Balance Massage? I've heard that this technique has been passed down for thousands of years. It's an honor to witness it in my lifetime. Could you teach me this divine skill?"

Louis glanced at him and chuckled, "If you understood it while I was massaging her, then you are qualified. If not, then you lack the talent."

Harry's countenance grew grim, overshadowed by guilt, and he fell into a somber silence.

He understood very well that Louis's treatment of Zara was not just about the massage.

The fact was, even if he understood it, he couldn't perform the Natural Energy mentioned in ancient witchcraft.

Harry lowered his head, his face extremely embarrassed, with no trace of his previous arrogance and conceit.

Louis saw through his thoughts and said, "I know what you want to ask. Most stomach diseases are acquired. Poor lifestyle habits lead to the development of cancer. Ms. Stone's tumor was caused by a stomach disease, so this massage technique worked."

Upon hearing this, Harry suddenly saw the light and gained a higher understanding of Louis's medical ethics.

As a man nearing sixty, he felt more like a student in front of Louis.

'The so-called benevolence of a doctor is probably like this.'

Looking at Louis's back, Harry was filled with admiration.

Louis just smiled faintly and left, without any reluctance. Low-key medical practice and saving lives were his duties.

As Louis's figure disappeared at the door, Zara coughed lightly, her gaze shyly lowered, her voice weak but unable to hide her curiosity.

"Albert, is Mr. Windsor really from the Brown family?"

Albert chuckled, clearly understanding the hidden meaning in Zara's words, and teasingly said, "What? Have you taken a liking to this humorous and low-key man?"

Zara's face turned red, and she lowered her head without speaking.

But the hint of infatuation in her eyes was unmistakable.

Seeing this, Albert pretended to be serious, "But, Zara, he is already married."

However, he changed his tone, a hint of mischief in his eyes, "But, if you like him, go for it. It seems he doesn't have a good relationship with the Brown family."

Zara bit her lip lightly, frowning slightly.

Albert's smile faded, and he looked thoughtfully at Louis's back, sighing, "I'm afraid he is far more powerful than we can see. His methods of saving you are beyond Dr. Brooks's capabilities. Perhaps his strength is something even the entire Stone family cannot contend with."

Late at night, Anna sat on the sofa, her expression anxious.

Louis had been out all day.

Anna's mind was filled with the gloomy atmosphere of the Stone family and their tough, ruthless ways.

She worried that Louis might not be able to get away and feared he would face retaliation from the Stone family.

Although there was no deep affection between them, Louis was still her husband.

And he got involved in this mess to protect her. Thinking of this, Anna felt a pang of guilt.

Lucy, on the other hand, was completely indifferent to Anna's thoughts, sitting comfortably on the sofa, bragging on the phone.

"Yes, yes, you have no idea how thrilling it was! Luckily, I was smart enough to get away unscathed!"

Her exaggerated tone made Anna frown.

Louis had taken the blame for her, and Lucy was using it to boast as if the ordeal had nothing to do with her.

"Mom, Louis might really be in trouble."

Anna couldn't help but remind Lucy.

"In trouble? If he had any skills, the Stone family would have invited him as a guest long ago!" Lucy waved dismissively, her eyes full of contempt, "He's just your no-name husband. Being able to marry into our family is already his good fortune! If anything happens to him... well, I think it would be a relief to get rid of this burden, so he doesn't keep dragging us down!"

"Mom, how can you say that!" Anna's face changed, her heart aching.

Despite her grievances against Louis, she knew he was in this predicament because of her.

Lucy's words made her feel both angry and heartbroken.

Seeing Anna's persistent worry, Lucy sneered, "You're so stubborn! I'm doing this for your own good! In my opinion, it's better if he doesn't come back today. This house will be quieter."

She finished, reaching out to stop Anna, "Don't think about going out to find him. This man isn't worth it! You are the future hope of the Brown family. Don't let him ruin everything."

Anna coldly pushed Lucy's hand away, "Mom, Louis is in this situation because of us, but you've never given him any respect. He has his flaws, but he is still my husband. He doesn't owe us anything; we owe him now."

Hearing this, Lucy sneered, "You're still defending him? He's just a loser. Divorcing him is the right choice. I'll find you a more capable man for you. Any man I find will be a hundred times better than Louis!"

With a glint of coldness flashing in her eyes, Anna replied firmly, "No need. At least for now, I won't let him suffer alone outside."

As they were at an impasse, they suddenly heard light footsteps outside the door.

Anna's heart skipped a beat, and she hurried to the door, while Lucy immediately stopped her, saying, "Don't rush to open the door! Who knows if he escaped from the Stone family? If he brings trouble to us, I won't let him in."

Anna's heart filled with anger instantly, but she remained calm and opened the door without hesitation.

As the door opened, she saw Louis standing outside.

"Anna, is something wrong?"

He looked perfectly fine, his expression calm as he looked at Anna, a slight smile on his face.

"Are... are you okay?" she asked, concerned.

Anna couldn't quite believe what she was seeing and couldn't help but step forward to examine him closely.
