Chapter 90 Untitled Chapter
Matilda’s talk aside, it’s time to ask him why he hid his social media account from me.
“Now tell me why you posted your picture on the Internet without telling me first.” I leaned on the chair and folded my hands, looking at him.
“The Internet?” He was stunned. “When did you see my pictures on the Internet? Amelia, I don't have an account on any social media, and I have already told you that I am not a fan of the media. So what are you talking about?”
If I hadn't seen his social media accounts in Matilda's phone, I would have believed him, but right now I am even disappointed in Hans for lying to my face. To show him that I know what I was saying, and he shouldn't make a fool out of himself. I picked up my phone and waved it in his face.
“Isn’t this your account?”
“What!” He exclaimed in shock.
“Do not deny it, Hans. It is even verified, just like the rest of the alphas in this kingdom. Also, your full name is on display right now. Are you telling me that someone must have opened that account using your identity?”
Nobody in this kingdom will try to do that shit because they know the consequences of their actions. Although they can fake each other's identities, they can never steal any of the alpha's identity.
“Seriously, Amelia, that is not my account. And if you don't believe me, then this is my phone. Look at it and tell me if you see any accounts in it.”
Shockingly, when I checked his phone, he didn't have any software installed that shows he is using any of the social media. But I wasn't satisfied with that alone, so I logged into the browser, searched for the social media, and tried logging into his account. However, I was denied access because no account had been created on that phone yet.
That was so confusing, and it makes me wonder where Matilda got that thing from. Not only her, but I also searched for it on my phone, and yes, I saw it. And right now it is on display on my phone. So, why can't I find it in Hans’ phone?
“I can't believe you don't trust me.” He looked so disappointed, but that wasn't my fault. I am as confused as he was at that moment.
“Don't you think we should dig into whoever created an account using your name and use them as a scapegoat?”
He sighed deeply, got up from the chair, and shrugged his shoulders. “That isn't necessary. We should utilize the time we will waste in doing that for this. Pack.”
Yes, that was true, but I prefer we dig into it because this is a big slap on my face. I can't believe they made me question Hans that way. Something I've never done since we moved in together. I have always been careful about anything that I do that will make him disappointed in me. But right now, what I have been avoiding has finally happened.
I was so upset that I wanted to dig into it when Hans wasn't with me, but before he left the office, he warned me not to do that, because he knew I was going to do it. But can he blame me? Absolutely not. I am just a girl in love who is trying to do all she can to make the man she loves see the good things in her.
“Did we provoke Hans?” Amy asked as we watched Hans exit the office. “Maybe.” I shrugged my shoulders, picking up my phone from the desk. “Hans cannot get angry with us. I am sure he will get over it in a few minutes and come looking for us.”
TWO HOURS LATER
Matilda should be back in the office by this time, but she isn't back, and it makes me wonder what she is still doing at the training ground. When I said the general should take her to the training ground, I didn't mean he should start training her today. I was only giving him a hint on what to do.
Since I was bored in the office, I decided to take a stroll around the company to supervise some things.
“Have you guys seen the lady whom Alpha Amelia brought back from the dark shadow sect?” I overheard a group of girls discussing as I walked past the marketing department. I can't believe the gossip has always gotten to them. Jeez, they love gossiping more than they love doing their work.
“Oh, yes, she is so pretty, and her skin is as pure as milk. Do you guys think she is into Alpha Hans?” My legs halted the moment what the lady said got into my ears.
Are they nuts? How dare they say something as stupid as that? Matilda into Hans?. They must be out of their minds.
“That is so lame!” Amy snapped, “And we should teach them a lesson for gossiping about our mate this way.”
I stepped back and slammed the door open, startling them. As soon as they saw me, they sprang up from the chairs they were sitting on, clutching to each other and trembling in fear. Even though they know what they have done, and they know that I definitely heard all that they said. All of them in this company know that I hear things clearly, even if it is a whisper.
“Are you done gossiping about my mate?”
“We…we…are so sorry… Alpha Amelia.” Their voices trembled in fear. “We didn't know that you were passing by. Please forgive us. We will never repeat this ever again.”
Okay. So if they know that I was passing by, they wouldn't say it until I am gone. Right? Wonderful. Right now, I won't spare them anymore. The first time they did this rubbish, I spared them. But now I must punish them to send a warning to the rest of them.
“I know what we can do to punish them, Amelia.” Amy stood on her paws, eyes glinting with mischief. “Chop off their head from their neck. And extract their spinal fluid.”
