Chapter 85 Untitled Chapter

Chapter 85 Untitled Chapter
Is he kidding me? If there's anyone who should go to the Arkonix pack to speak to Hams and drag Axel out of that pack. Then it should be me because the Lunskye Pack belongs to me, not Hans.

The general is surely getting on my nerves, and if he continues provoking me to the final phase, then I will be left with no choice but to lash out at him.

After all, this whole thing that happened is his fault. If he hadn't left his post to go to the company with Hans, Axel wouldn't have been taken out of this pack. General Lykon could have done all he could to stop the dark smoke from leaving. Because, as the general, he also possessed magic that could at least stop a terrible thing from happening.

“I don't remember asking for your opinion. General Lykon, just do as I have ordered. And stop telling me what to do. I am the Alpha, and you are just one of my underlings. Who must answer to my orders? Are you trying to tell me that you have full power over me? You can't stop me from leaving the Lunskye pack because Alpha Hans is there doing what I should be doing.”

“I am so sorry, Alpha Amelia, I didn't mean it that way. Please forgive me. Right away, I will go get the cars ready for you. And if you want it, I shall go with you to The Arkonix Pack.”

Good for him.

As soon as he hurried away, I turned to Matilda, who was trembling in fear. I wanted to laugh at her for acting like a coward, but I restrained my laughter because she isn't to be blamed. She is only scared, especially when it has to do with the dark shadow sect.

“Jeez, Matilda. Look at the way you are sweating as if you are standing under the sun. Come on, girl. Do not embarrass me. Have you already forgotten that you are going to be my beta very soon?. Why act this way? If anyone sees you like this, don't you know that they wouldn't be happy that a coward would be given the title of a beta? Come on, baby girl, breathe, be brave, and wipe off that sweat on your body before the general and others come here and see you this way.”

I chuckled, placing my hand on her shoulders. Even her shoulders were quivering. This is so funny, and this time, I couldn't hold back the laughter. Any more so, I cracked up.

“Alpha Amelia? You will not understand. You are an Alpha, and I am just a low-rank bitch in this pack. What do you expect me to do? Laugh in the face of danger. Absolutely not. Please forgive me for acting like a coward. I think that is what I am. Maybe when I become the beta, I will be brave and stop getting scared over things like this.”

She was totally correct. However, I saw the brave side of her hours ago when those idiots from Harmony Pack, who were ordered by Gwendolyn to kill us on the way, tried to carry out her order. I love the way she hit the other guy and yelled at them.

“I got you, Matilda. But do not get scared over things like this. Do you hear me? And I promise to coach you until you become brave. Tell me, do you want to go to the Arkonix pack with me, or do you want to stay back?”

She hesitated, thinking of what answer to give me. Although she hasn't said anything, I already know what she was going to say. She wouldn't go to the Arkonix pack with me.

“I am so sorry, Alpha Amelia, but I am afraid to stand in front of a ghost.”

A ghost? Omg! This is like the funniest joke I have heard this month. Hams isn't a ghost. He didn't die during the battle. Something must have prevented him from getting killed, and whatever it is, it must be a strong bond between him and somebody. He doesn't have a Luna yet. If not, I would have said the luna must have awakened the bond between them.

Who could it be? Could it be Hans? Hams is his twin brother, and only he can prevent Hams' death. Maybe he found out his brother was going to die, so he used the bond between them, too. Block my magic from killing him. Whatever it is, Healer Matt will tell me after I am done with this stupid joke that has just happened.

And if what I am thinking tallies with what Healer Matt says, then Hans has betrayed me. I know Hams is his brother, and he has the right to protect him, but they are not even on good terms. Hams is evil, while Hans is uncorrupted. So I see no reason why he would protect someone who wants to see his destruction.

A few minutes later, three cars drove into the headquarters. I thought it must be Hans who had returned until the general stepped out of the front car.

“Alpha Amelia?” He called, bowing his head slightly. “The cars are here, and I have also brought a few warriors to escort you to the Arkonix park.”

“ What are you thinking, Amelia?” Amy called and scoffed. “The drive from this pack to Arkonix Pack is like 4 hours. Have you forgotten that in just a second, you can get yourself into that pack? Come on, girl. You possess a strong power that can transport you into the Arkonix pack within a second.”

Snap!!! How did I seriously forget about that? I need to work more on my mental health. It seems like I forget easily, and I am afraid that one day, I will face danger and forget that I possess magic that will get me out of that danger.

“ Thank you, Amy.” I sighed, turning to the general. “General Lycon? It seems that I have just wasted your time going back to the packhouse to bring cars that will take me to the Arkonix pack. I won't be going with them anymore. I have another way to get there.”
